A nice, simple cabin with awesome views. Definitely a special place. Relaxing and easy to find.
Family of 4 spent a week at this property and loved it. We've been going to the area for over 6 years and finally found a property that is close to town (mins to West Jeff) yet remote. The views are outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed them from the hot tub. Having the pool table available for some evening fun was also pleasant. We had plenty of seating space for the occasional movie as well as at the dinner table. Property was very clean and well-maintained. I could definitely see that one of the roads to the cabin would be difficult during the winter months. Owner had a well-stocked DVD library and the kitchen was also well stocked.
Can't wait to return!
Home located on a ridge with outstanding views. Sunrise and sunset! Very easy access on paved road. Comfortable furnishings and well appointed kitchen... Super clean and well maintained. Short drive to Blue Ridge Parkway entrance a plus! Short drive to blowing rock and Boone with lots of shopping dining options, if you can tear yourself away from this great relaxing beautiful home. For a scrumptious lunch in a beautiful garden setting try village cafe in blowing rock. Don't forget to stop in to De Provence et D'Ailleurs, my favorite specialty shop in Blowing rock featuring wide range of Merchandise imported from France. The owner Danielle is tops! Linville Falls winery has its own vineyard and made for an enjoyable day trip diversion. Can't wait to return to this beautiful home!!!
Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. What an awesome view. We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed some of your games and videos. My daughter, grandson and I enjoyed the pool table. We enjoyed shopping at the Cabin Store, the Cheese Store and Kitchen Things. The food at the Coffee Shop was wonderful. We would love to go back again.
Our family of six had a wonderful week in this lovely cabin. The views are amazing! The cabin itself was very clean and well maintained, with all the necessary furnishings. The leather furniture in the living room was very comfy to relax in on rainy days. The loft was a big hit for our kids, with the pool table being a favorite. The hottub was also a wonderful place to relax and enjoy God's scenery.
We spent lots of time around the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is about 20 or so minutes from the cabin. We also took some fun hikes...a good one is on Mount Jefferson. Boone was a nice destination as well, and we loved seeing the historical play, "Horn in the West." A final favorite was visiting the Todd General Store (about 25 min away) on Friday night for dinner and bluegrass music.
We would definitely recommend this cabin. We loved our week there and hope to come back!
Great views, comfy furniture, open floor plan and clean.
Close to town for the grocery, walmart or the quaint town of W. Jefferson and restaurants; yet far enough away that you don't see or hear that stuff. Property manager is easy to work with and responsive. I would stay there again. We brought one dog, but there isn't a lot of area to run and play outside the property bounds (it's a subdivided neighborhood but there are a few vacant cleared lots next to the house). But a walk up and down the road will wear out any animal as well as the owner. The only difference I noted was the bed in the bedroom #2 is a full size bed, not a queen. I would stay again.
Call for more information! 'Appalachian Sky' is located in a quaint mountain town called West Jefferson. West Jefferson is in Ashe County which is in the north eastern most part of North Carolina that borders VA and TN. Once you visit this beautiful town, you'll want to return year after year.
