It has been beautifully furnished and features hand knotted area rugs and many antiques from the area. If you are looking for a genuine Niagara-on-the-Lake experience, Avalon is the perfect place to stay.

Avalon is near our other 3 vacation homes, Amberlea House,

and ladder back chairs. The wooden beams have been exposed and the brick fireplace has a huge hearth. There is a Canadiana pine writing desk over in the corner in front of the window which is partially covered by trumpet vine and roses.

About Angelo Molinaro

Together with my husband, Angelo, we own and operate four luxury vacation homes, all with private pools, located in Old Town Niagara on the Lake. Our town has been voted Canada's #1 food and wine destination by TripAdvisor, something we are very excited about.

We purchased our first property, Simcoe Pines, in 2000 and started running it as a vacation home in 2003. Between 2004 and 2006. Avalon was the last one we purchased in the town. Angelo ran the business on his own until the Fall of 2014 when I retired from my company and joined him full time.

Since 2003 we have welcomed thousands of guests into our homes and have many returning guests come and stay in our properties year after year. We personally own these homes and take great care in ensuring an exceptional stay for our guests that vacation in any of our properties. As a result of this hands on approach, have earned over 200 5 Star reviews across numerous travel sites.

All four of our properties are very unique and exemplify what Niagara on the Lake represents. They are historical homes with our oldest home, Avalon, dating back to 1820. All of them feature heated swimming pools set in mature private gardens and are located in Old Town, walking distance to Queen Street, the golf course and the lake.

We welcome you to stay at one of our lovely homes for your next vacation with family or friends!

Angelo Molinaro purchased this house in 2006

Why Angelo Molinaro chose Niagara-on-the-Lake

We have always loved Niagara-on-the-Lake as we both grew up in this area and our family lives near by.

We wanted to find a heritage home in the historical district and had been looking for some time when we came across this charmer. We knew the minute we walked through the front door and saw all the exposed wooden beams we knew that we would be putting an offer on it!

Avalon was built in the late 1820's. We have the documentation showing the first sale of the property back in 1820 when it was first traded for 600 GBP($1000 CAD). In those days the currency used was the GBP.

The house was in excellent shape. All we needed to do was a bit of decorating and we added the swimming pool and enhanced the landscaping. Before we purchased it in 2006, it was a successful B&B and the previous owner took great care of it.

We try to stay there ourselves when it is not being enjoyed by guests. We love the fact that the house is a half a block to Queen St and the car is never necessary except for arriving and leaving the town.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We stayed at Avalon with our grown kids and their 2 children in January for a

long weekend. The home is a gorgeous heritage home with wooden beams

throughout.

We loved the over sized country kitchen! Great for gathering around and

cooking together.

We want to return in the summer when the pool is open.

The home is located one block from Queen street which added to our stay as

we could walk to everything and never take the car out.

We didn't want to leave!

Centrally Located - Beautifully appointed

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time spending the weekend in your home. As a family we traveled to Ontario to celebrate our son's 30th birthday. Your home was well appointed and met all our needs in the kitchen and throughout. From the simplicity of booking the reservation right on through to our departure, we found everything to be seamless. Even though we visited in the "off season" we were able to enjoy all the local venues as well as major attractions. We would highly recommend your accommodations to others.

It was a most relaxed trip!

Great house, great location, great owners!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was wonderful, we found the house in great shape, very clean and it looked exactly as advertised. The location was perfect a short walk to Queen Street. We had four adult couples and found the house to be very comfortable plenty of room for everyone. The outdoor space was great especially the pool. We found the owners to be very attentive, easy to work with and genuinely concerned about providing a good experience for us. We would rent again and highly recommend Avalon to anyone.

Beautifully-appointed, perfectly-situated house.

Could not have asked for a better family vacation spot! Our hosts anticpated our every need, making our family of six adults very comfortable in a location ideal for exploring the many attractions of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Their recommendations for dining and winery visits were spot-on. We had lovely warm weather and the pool in the beautifully-landscaped yard was much appreciated!

Girls Weekend at Avalon

  • 5 of 5

Our group stayed at Avalon the last weekend in April 2016. We wanted to do something special for our 50th Birthdays. There were five of us and we all went to high school together. Through the years we have supported each other through college, careers, and a combined 9 children and 9 marriages!! :) It was a perfect time to reflect on all of this and on all of the love that we have shared throughout the years. The house was perfect! We couldn’t have selected a better home to enjoy and fit our needs. The home was beautiful, clean and comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone. In fact, I already have!! The location was great. We walked everywhere. We enjoyed a play, dined, shopped and did a wine tour and spent one morning at the Spa ...perfect girls weekend! Just from corresponding with the owners, I can tell they are very hands on. I feel that is important because if any problems were to arise, I know they would take care of it immediately. Nothing happened… but it is reassuring that if something “unscheduled “were to happen, it’s nice to know that they can be reached at any time. We are thinking of making this an annual trek so if we do, would love to stay at this home again or perhaps check out one of their other lovely homes. We know it will be just as wonderful as Avalon.

Family Week at Avalon

  • 5 of 5

My parents, my sister and I traveled to Niagara On the Lake this May of 2016 for a family trip and to visit family who live in the area. After talking to the owners by phone we decided this house was perfect for our situation and our parents who didn't want to use stairs to get to a bedroom. There are two bedrooms downstairs with one bathroom, two bedrooms upstairs with their own bathrooms and we certainly had more room than we needed. This house was really lovely and the neighborhood was beautiful in May with the tulips blooming. The backyard was private and well manicured with a nice pool for summer usage although it wasn't quite "pool season" but we enjoyed sitting outside. It is just a few walking blocks from the downtown area and cafes and a small grocery store and a drug store. The owners went out of their way to call us and ask us if there was anything we needed and answer any questions. I would highly recommend this home and I look forward to staying here again.
