A real taste of French life

  • 5 of 5

We spent a fantastic week in this beautiful farmhouse in July and did not want for anything. The fully equipt kitchen allowed us to share many meals together and we found the shopping in the local town of Apt amazing. The Lavender festival was in full swing and the people we met were very friendly even though we did not speak French. We visited the near by towns of Gordes, Roussillon, and Sault - all definitely worth a visit. It's also not far from Aix en Provence where we had lunch at Villa Gallici.

Laurie and Arlene were very helpful and provided everything we asked for. The property was clean with a well maintained swimming pool and lovely gardens. I have already made our holiday slideshow and we would highly recommend this experience to friends and family

Lovely house, fully loaded!

  • 4 of 5

This comfortable house, clean house was loaded with everything you could ask for in a self-catering property, from inflatable pool toys to portable room fans to every cooking utensil you could think of to bee repellent around the pool. There is plenty of room, inside and out, with your choice of two terraces to dine on. The kitchen will impress anyone who is into cooking, with plenty of instructions on how to work everything. Wi-fi works well throughout the house, even in the upstairs bedrooms.

The house is located high in the hills around Apt, with spectacular views, though it can get a little tricky finding the house again once you leave for the day. Keep the directions in your car! The location is perfect for visiting the famous Luberon hill towns such as Rousillon, Bonnieux and Lourmarin. Apt is a good size, with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, services and a big market on Saturday mornings. It's not as quaint as some of the nearby charming little towns but has everything you need.

The pool is heated and well maintained; we saw the pool cleaner twice during the week we there.

The housekeeper, Arlette, lives nearby and was most helpful. In fact, on the first night we arrived we asked her to prepare a simple meal, which she did and was paid extra for.

All in all a relaxing stay in a comfortable house with great views.

Magical Stay

  • 5 of 5

We discovered this gem through a recommendation and were pleasantly surprised how idylicc the loacation and facilities are. One cannot want for anything and the proprietor has thought of every eventuality to ensure the complete comfort of the holidaymakers. Our large group thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the surrounding landscaped gardens. The covered terrace was a witness to sumptious culinary creations from the fresh produce available locally. The grand facilities offered will remain etched foreverin our hearts. we will certainly be visiting again.

Perfect venue for a friends and family holiday

  • 5 of 5

Chez Manon is an ideal place for a friends/family holiday. Wonderfully spacious living and kitchen area and a view to die for over the valley. We often walked with our dogs in the hills of the Colorado Provencal, lunch at a local restaurant and then afternoons around the swimming pool followed by lazy drinks on the terrace in the evening - heaven. The owners could not be nicer with very helpful information packs on places to eat and visit. Highly recommended.

Perfect Luberon Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 4 grandparents, 2 parents and 3 grandchildren (12, 10, 3) enjoyed a wonderful week at Chez Manon for the following reasons. Since we all enjoy cooking, the open floor plan made it easy for the adults to share in the work and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils. The large indoor and outdoor tables were great for our group of 9. The 3 grandchildren enjoyed the pool multiple times a day. The privacy of the home meant that the granchildren's voices were not an issue, only to us. The great location in the Luberon Hills meant that there were interesting places to visit for all and we could split up. Some of us went on long hikes while others visited villages those days. Mont Ventoux was accessible and with full sun, simply outstanding. The nearby Roman ruins (perhaps Pont du Gard is not that close but the Julian Bridge is) were great. And, we never even used the bikes that were also available. The views were great for those who those who just wanted to relax.

Chez Manon met the needs of all 9 of us from age 3 to 72, not an easy task for a group that takes an annual vacation and come from England and Minnesota, USA.
