Comfortable clean and ideally situated.
Lovely studio. Amazing views from the balcony. Clean and safe beach with a bar serving colds drinks and food. Convenient bus stop with regular buses into the busier areas and shopping centres. I definately recommend this little gem and hope I can one-day re-book.
Thank you Lisa, what a lovely review I couldn't have said better myself! kind regards,
Great price, Nice apartment, beautiful views, peaceful, good bus service
Stayed for a Week in this apartment over the Easter holidays. Apartment was fairly priced , peaceful, with brilliant views of the sea and The Rock. Exactly what we wanted.
Jackie the apartment manager applied very quickly to my emails, answered all questions, booking was easy, and key arrived on time as promised.
Airport taxi to appt costs about £10 (depends on time of day).
Apartment - very clean and modern and big enough for 2 people. The balcony is spacious with table and chairs. Everything you need is provided such as cooking facilities, iron, hairdryer, towels, washing machine etc. The power shower is great. Beds were comfy.
Have to use a fobt to enter the building and you also receive a key for the door of the apartment. There is also a key to the gate that gives you access to the beach. There is free wifi, and sky TV which has loads of channels. We arrived on easter sunday and there was no shop nearby that was open, however there was teabags/coffee, milk in the fridge and sugar provided, and a complimentary bottle of wine.
The beach - access down the stairs and through a gate. The beach is clean, soft sand, and clear water. There is also a beach shack that sells drinks.
Nearby - there are a couple of restaurants and a shop 10 min walk down the road.
Buses - Bus is every 30 minutes from reception. You can get the number 8 bus to market place (where bus station is), and Morrisons.
Number 4 bus also goes to Market place.
£2.50 for an all day/any bus 'bus hoppa' ticket *Make sure you have change as they wont change notes*
All the bus drivers are friendly and will help you get on the right bus.
Attractions - £12 ticket covers most attractions such as great seige tunnels, moorish castle, caves. These are worth a visit. Botanic gardens are also lovely, and there is an animal sanctury there for £5pp.
Cable cars are £15pp. They are quick and get you to the top of the rock in 5 minutes. However expect a que to get on them. There is a bus that can take you part way up the rock, or get a tour bus/taxi.
You can pay an extra £8 for WW2 tunnels, but we thought they were a bit of a let down, as not much money goes into them to make them great and we had a poor tour guide.
Restaurants - Price of a pint in Gibraltar is about £3. lots restaurants at Market place and Ocean Village. There is a Indian called Bay Leaf that was gorgeous. Cost about £50 for a meal for two, with drinks.
We had great holiday, and will book this appt again in the future.
Thank you Lucy for such an informative review - exactly what future guests want to hear. Always lovely to know that people enjoy both Gibraltar and where they are staying. Look forward to hearing from you again, oh and thank you for the prompt return of the keys. kind regards, Jackie
Very happy with our stay good value for money
Excellent welcome pack and good communication lovely place to stay friendly people. Buses can be a bit unreliable later at night but loved our stay.
Thank you for this review Mark, so pleased you enjoyed your time in Gib and thank you for the photo showing how lovely the weather was, especially as we were freezing in the UK!! regards, Jackie
Excellent studio in peaceful location
This well-equipped studio overlooks Sandy Bay on the quieter eastern side of the Rock. However it is just a short bus or taxi ride from all the activities Gibraltar has to offer.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review, you told me privately what a lovely time you had. regards, Jackie Hobbs
Great place to stay
We recently stayed in the studio at Sandy Bay for three nights. It is well-appointed and comfortable, and we loved the view of the ocean from our balcony. It was the perfect base for exploring the Rock as well as the charming, historic town of Gibraltar. Excellent bus service stops outside the door -- we bought all-day passes that allowed us to hop on and off buses around the town. Bob was very welcoming and gave us a good orientation. We are happy to recommend this to anyone looking for accommodation in Gibraltar.
always book with jackie great service beautiful stunning place wonderful views alway happy customer
Thank you Stacey what a lovely review and I am so sorry it is booked for the next time you wanted it in September. See you next year. regards, Jackie
