Why Jonathan & Kate chose Walker
Our home is nestled on 17 acres of forest on Shingobee bay. We've remodeled the first floor with a new kitchen, bath, and windows. We are constantly updating our home and grounds to make it an enjoyable hangout. Enjoy 600 feet of shore line along Shingobee Bay, a wildlife haven.

Private and relaxing
Great spot on a bay instead of the big lake. Fishing was good and fun off the dock. Also did some yoga down there. The house was so comfortable with all the little special touches. There is a restaurant just down the road with amazing food. We would stay here again.
A great place to stay
We enjoyed a family vacation at this wonderful property with our adult children and a one month old baby. The cabin was very well equipped and met our needs beautifully. We took walks, played golf, fished, had bon fires, played cards, and cooked together. It was a little too cool to swim but there was a floating raft that looked fun. All in all, it was great place to stay and would recommend to others.
Second year at this great cabin
Spent a week at the cabin for the second year, and we're so glad we returned. The VRBO description is very accurate, and the cabin is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. What really sets the place apart for us is great fishing right off the dock (our 11-year-old could fish all day, every day) AND good swimming between the dock and the swimming dock. It's a hard combination to find. Also a good combination of a quiet bay with easy access to Leech Lake. We had some rainy weather for part of the week, but still found the cabin great for reading, playing games, and watching movies. Booking, check-in, check-out are easy and general communication has been thorough and prompt. We love this place and hope to return next year!
Great week and beautiful cabin
We had an awesome week, fishing, boating, watching wildlife on the deck. Jonathan and Kate were always quick to respond to any questions we had. Cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. Would definitely come back.
Great property; Lots to do
We stayed at the property for a week In August 2018. It was well supplied and maintained. The location was great - it felt secluded, but it was easy to go into Walker. The bay was pretty quiet and you felt like you were on a smaller lake, but it was easy to get on to Leech. We have a 10 and 14 year old and they loved that you could fish and swim from the property. We would definitely go again.
Thank you for the kind review. We enjoyed sharing our lake home with your family. We hope you can make it back someday.
Enjoy the summer!
