About the property

Pre War 105 Sunny Sq Metres With 2 Full Baths, Large Kitchen With Lots Of Charm

Housed in a classified 18th century, pre-Revolution building, this charming 3rd floor walk up apartment has been fully renovated by the talented interior designers, the Paris-based ‘double g’. The striking hardwood floors are original 18th century parquet, featuring the classic ‘point de Hongrie’ in the bedrooms, parquet ‘a l’anglaise’ in the entrée, and a more unusual variant of the parquet ‘Versailles’ in the salon.

The apartment is tastefully furnished with a beautiful Lladro Belle de Nuit chandelier, contemporary Ligne Roset sofas, king beds with new Tempur mattresses and goose down pillows. The kitchen is set up as a luxurious contemporary eating place hosting up to 6 guests with a Nespresso coffee machine and stylish cutlery. The apartment has a full dish washer, washing and drying machine.

The bedrooms are air-conditioned and both have large windows looking onto the charming Rue Saint Anne. The windows of the whole apartment are double panelled for complete silence for a restful night. In addition both bedrooms are large, one of them with an ensuite bathroom. The bathrooms have been completely renovated, featuring Parisian elegance, American amenities and comfort, and a Japanese-influenced appreciation for order and space. The first includes a luxurious porcelain double sink, Philippe Starck light fixtures, a full-length towel heater, and a deliciously spacious marble shower with a 10-inch rain shower. The second bathroom is tiled in gorgeous cream squares and includes an equally spacious shower with a 10-inch rain shower, Artemide lighting, a full-length towel heater, and a delicate curtain feature.

The kitchen is a delight. It’s equipped to support a simple breakfast for six. Elegant wooden cabinetry, black Zimbabwean stone counter tops, and top-of-the-line Miele and Siemens appliances make for a chef’s kitchen that is also a pleasure for entertaining. The black and white tile flooring is reminiscent of the spiral staircase to the apartment.

The living room has 4 large windows with a view on Rue Rameau and Rue Saint Anne as it is in the corner of the street making the leaving room a square shape room with lots of light. The living room has a 32' television, 21' apple computer with wireless and internet.

This apartment is very charming and comfortable. The building does not have an elevator, the apartment is on the 3 floor, which it is actually a two and half floor walk up. The stair case is large so it is easy to climb with luggage

Fantastic Paris apartment

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here last year and had a fantastic time. The apartment is in a great location, within easy walking distance to several metro stations, various tourist attractions, and a number of excellent restaurants (particularly, Korean and Japanese). Inside, the apartment is modern, bright and furnished to a high standard - it is also very spacious. Wifi and internet access were good, and the iMac computer was useful for exploring local options. The only downside is the lack of an elevator, which might pose issues for those with limited mobility.

Laurence was a fantastic host - accommodating an early check-in and providing a lot of helpful information about the surrounding area. I cannot think of anything negative to say about the apartment and would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a central location with great amenities nearby.

Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is outstanding with every amenity available to you. Our family enjoyed this apartment for our first visit to Paris. Location easy to get around the city. Kitchen fully equipped. Linens and towels very nice. The only thing I would make others aware of is that it is a loud street and when the Windows are open it it very noisy. There is no sleeping in. Other than that I would highly recommend apartment.

Owner's Response: Dear Natalie, Thank you for your nice review. I'm happy you enjoyed the apartment. The apartment is on the corner of two small and quite streets, considering the apartment is located in the center of Paris. Myself I don't find them very noisy. The apartment has double glass windows for the extra sensitive guests and when the windows are closed you can't hear people talking on the street. There is an air conditioning in both bedrooms to make sure you can keep the windows closed at night if you need total silence.

Perfect apartment in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Perfect apartment in a perfect location! We loved our stay in your apartment. Laurence was an amazing host. She met us at the apartment and made sure we were comfortable and knew how to use all the appliances. It is a very short walk to several metro stations, which we utilized while we were there. It was great to have Internet access and use of the computer! They have definitely thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable, including US to Euro adapter plugs! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Paris. Thank you!

EXCELLENT! Our home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at the apartment and feel truly it is our second home in Paris. To have two bedrooms and two baths is plus, always exceptionally clean, the neighborhood is perfect (why would you stay anywhere else?), close to Palais Royal, Louvre, Opera. We love the Udon restaurants (Jubey is our favorite) on the same street, don't forget there's a patisserie literally right downstairs for fresh baguette and fresh orange juice in the morning, the mini market across the street is good for water and simple supplies. For us there's no other apartment to rent in Paris, this is it! Merci Laurence and Graciela!!

Beautiful, comfortable stay in Paris

  • 5 of 5

This review is long overdue, as our trip to Paris took place more than a year ago (July 2015), but our family of four still has wonderful memories of our stay in this beautiful apartment. The apartment is immaculate, modern, and well-maintained. Having the two full bathrooms and a washer/dryer in the apartment were very handy. The air conditioning was a welcome luxury in the summer heat, and we used the computer to map destinations and plan outings. The full kitchen made it easy for us to have breakfast at the apartment, as did the lovely bakery directly downstairs.

We found the location to be very central, and it was easy to take the Metro from the apartment nearly anywhere we wanted to go. It was a terrific "home base" to see the city from. The Louvre and the Seine are within walking distance of the apartment.

Graciela and Laurence were easy to work with, kind, and patient. Laurence in particular was a wonderful host--she helped make our stay easy by pointing out nearby markets, restaurant areas, etc. after we checked in, and provided maps and guidebooks. She also helped us arrange a driver, David, who took us from and to the train station on our arrival and departure--he was fantastic as well.

In addition to all the major sites, I'd highly recommend taking one of the evening boat tours along the Seine as a "preview" of the city. David, our driver, made this suggestion, so we did a boat tour our first night in Paris--and it was a lovely way to get an overview of Paris. In particular, seeing the Eiffel Tower aglitter with lights as night arrived was beautiful.

We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Paris. We've now stayed in about a dozen HomeAway apartments in four countries, and this is one of our favorites!

EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY

  • 5 of 5

LOVED! The location, interior design, beds, bathroom, kitchen, washer/dryer. Very convenient of Paris central locations, great Japanese restaurants as well as our favorite Cafe Vivienne. 5 minute walk to the Palais Royal, The Louvre. Communication witht he owners was efficient and professional, their list of resources was great. If you sleep in late you may want to bring ear plugs as there is a little traffic on the streets in the morning. The 3rd floor walk up was not a problem. Mark this apartment as definite, we hope to book again as soon as possible. Cheers!!!
