When hosts Holly Berry and Rob Denton first saw this secluded cove they realized they had finally found the perfect natural setting to host a myriad of gatherings and memorable moments. They worked to add comforts and amenities that are in harmony with the countryside surroundings, that create a haven for people seeking solace and tranquility. Come laugh and mingle under the stars and dance alongside the sparks of a crackling camp fire at Brahma Ridge.
Rob Denton & Holly Berry purchased this house in 2005
Only twenty minutes from all the downtown Asheville happenings yet this property feels so secluded.
The house received its name, Earthberm House, due to its construction - built into the side of the mountain. The all-on-one level is very comfortable for wheelchair guests.
Four-person hot tub outdoors under the stars!
A whole house filter on the well purifies all water coming into the home.
We booked the Earthbern house for a bachelorette weekend getaway and everyone was extremely impressed with this property! Plenty of space, well-stocked kitchen, gorgeous views of the mountains, and we loved the hot tub! The owners are very responsive and easy to work with. Would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to NC. The driveway up to the house is quite steep and made me very glad we took a vehicle with 4-wheel drive!
Everything about this property is awesome, the owners, the views & lacking nothing. Lots of space for family or girls get away. We are here to scout vendors for a destination wedding, already booked the venue & then find out they do weddings here as well. Even though we have almost everything booked somewhere else we have had the offer to talk to Holly because she is a wealth of information on putting together weddings. One of the girls here is planning to come back to Earthberm for a family vacation. I don't see how anyone could ever be disappointed with this rental.
We were in awe of the views from the front patio, wow. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area, the birds, the fresh air and the billions of lightning bugs at night. This home is the perfect place to stay with plenty of room for the whole family and we loved the fact that it had a complete suite at one end of the house which was great for those who wanted to stay up a lot later than the others!!!!! The approach to the property is breathtaking also. You will NOT be disappointed with this beautiful place. Thanks Rob & Holly.
The earthberm house was a good stay. It was clean and provided exactly what we were looking for - a home in the mountains near Asheville where we could have a small family reunion. Good for kids and the hosts were very gracious. The firewood provided was a nice bonus. The rate and location were good. The only word of caution is that the pictures portray the property in the best light possible and that the property could use some updates in the bathroom, ceilings and bedrooms.
We stayed here to celebrate our 40th birthday and had a blast! We arrived to a little snow and cold temperatures, but the hot tub and fire place was ready as soon as we got there. We loved soaking in the hot tub overlooking beautiful snow covered mountain views. The house was very spacious, and the bedding was so comfortable...even our dog had a bed to sleep on! The location was close to the parkway to hike, and we enjoyed the West Ashley and downtown Asheville area as well. We can't wait to plan another getaway here, thinking this summer would be perfect! Thank you Rob and Holly for a wonderful vacation spot!
Great little house in the mountains, nice view, close to Asheville (15 min or so). The hosts are really nice and run a wedding venue in the valley. Plenty of space to sleep and plenty of space for hanging out. Would love to stay here again :)
