This 3 bedroom, 2 bath house is located in a private beach community with exclusive access to private beach. Our house is at the end of a single lane dead end street. Property comes with its own right of way that is 50 yards long to the bay. You see the water from your front door. Everyone else in private community has to walk 10 houses down to a locked gate to access beach. Also all other rentals in community must share same small beach with many other homes. Our home gives you a large section of private beach just for you. You can even leave your kayaks on the beach while you have lunch at the house. You can virtually watch your child from the beach as they walk to the front door of your rental. The house has been re-modeled with new bathrooms, mattresses, beautiful wainscoting throughout and interior walls removed to create the ideal airy 'Hamptons' look. PLEASE NOTE: This house sleeps 6 max. including kids that sleep in beds. No air mattresses or anyone sleeping on couch permitted. The reason why this house has stayed so clean and nice is because we don't make any exceptions for the maximum sleeping capacity of 6 people/kids.
There is a private landscaped backyard complete with stone patio and enclosed outdoor shower. Weber gas grill. Also a table, chairs and umbrella for outdoor dining. Two full baths have been completely re-done with all new fixtures. Wide planked pine wood floors throughout, flat panel HD TV, a library of books, and a stackable washer/dryer complete this quiet getaway in the heart of wine country.

My husband and I have been married for 33 years. We have two homes out on the North Fork. The one that you are viewing that we bought 7 years ago and our house across the street. We have been out here for 17 years.
Mary Hayes purchased this house in 2007
It's a beautiful spot in a private community, with a mile long Sandy walking beach and sparkling clean water. Unlike the South Fork/The Hamptons, the North Fork is much more laid back with farmland and about 50 Vineyards.
The private beach that you have access to on your own easeman directly across from your front door is breathtaking. It is the longest walking beach on the Peconic Bay. It is also a sandy beach that is about 30 feet deep in low tide. Not many beaches on Peconic Bay have this much sand. Our tenants often say that they were the only ones on the beach during their stay at our house. The house is perfectly appointed and very clean.
This is our second stay in this lovely beach home. Our family vacation was filled with all the North Fork has to offer; day trips to nearby Greenport, aquarium, local farms, Splish Splash and most importantly the beach! The home was immaculate and had everything we needed to make us feel at home. Mary is a wonderful hostess and made our stay very special. We look forward to returning!
A wonderful, light filled cottage, only steps from a private beach on the bay! We so enjoyed our stay here and Mary was so hospitable, providing us with helpful local information. I highly recommend this beach house and would definitely stay here again.
I rented this house for the weekend for a bachelorette party and it was amazing! The house was beautiful - very clean and spacious. The beach was very close and private. We practically had it all to ourselves. Vineyards were close by and easy to get to. The recommendations we received for dinner were great. Overall one of the best rental experiences I've ever had!
If your idea of an ideal vacation rental is a beautiful, modernized, clean, easily accessible, light-filled, centrally located home within steps of the Bay, then this is it. My family and I just returned from a week on the North Fork, having rented this wonderful property, and if we could return next week, we would.
The house was everything I could have wanted and more (and I'm really picky....). I'd drink my morning coffee on the front deck with a view of the Bay across the street, my 10 year old could walk out the door by himself with his kite and go fly it at the beach, my husband and younger son swam for hours in the beautiful bay, and we took endless family walks along the winding beach.
We also have family who live locally, and this house gave us the chance to spend wonderful quality time with our extended family, yet still return to a tranquil evening at "home" with our immediate family. So truly, this house rental enabled the best of both worlds when trying to blend vacation and family time together.
Other than that, I can't say enough about how authentically kind, friendly, helpful and enjoyable the house's owners are. We happen to know where we like to go on the North Fork, but for folks who might not know the area, Mary and Pat have wonderful recommendations on what to do and see.
This house is a gem, count your blessings if you get to rent it!
I echo wholeheartedly the praise of other reviewers. This beach cottage is spacious, comfortable, well-designed and has everything your family will need for a delightful stay. Steps from a quiet, secluded beach, a short drive to wineries, produce stands, grocery stores, services, great restaurants and attractions for kids.
Hosts Mary and Patrick went out of their way to make us feel welcome, offer tips and advice, and make our stay an extremely enjoyable one. I would recommend this cottage without reservation, and would love to return to witness the changing of the seasons!
This house in Aquebogue is ideal for those who need a true vacation! It's in a quiet location and the interior is decorated with flair, in soft, pleasing sea colors. The floor plan is perfect for a mid-sized family--our kids loved it! (The outdoor shower is practical too; they cleaned up before coming back inside.)
You are just steps from a stretch of white, sandy beach on the bay. Grab your coffee and watch the sun come up on the left, or grab a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the water on the right. Bring your kayak if you have one, since the spot is perfect for that. We watched a family of swans glide by one morning, and saw the moon's bright path on the water when we sat out on the beach in the evening.
Nearby are wineries, produce stands, an array of charming restaurants, local music and theaters, and beautiful farm vistas, plus more great beaches. But Mary told me, "you won't want to leave the beach," and she was right! We plan to go back to see more of the surrounding area.
An additional bonus: Pat and Mary are extremely hospitable and will offer suggestions and helpful advice on making the most of your stay--they make you feel right at home without crowding your space in any way. We've never had such welcoming hosts in any home we have rented.
Excellent clamming and fishing within walking distance to house. Also great for Fall Wine and Pumpkin Picking weekends. There is an aquarium, water park, Mimi golf, outlet shopping, bowling alley nearby.
