About Persehais Jean-Louis
Married, 3 children, in my sixties, retired from Civil Aviation Control, living there since 1970. I built this home myself on a family plot in 1989. D.I.Y man, amateur musician and photographer, traveller, reading lover, sociable and helpful, bon viveur and non-smoker. We like our region that we know well, and we can help you to discover it in the best conditions. Hope to see you soon...
Persehais Jean-Louis purchased this House in 1989
Why Persehais Jean-Louis chose Bergerac
This house is not a soulless holidays rental, but our home that we let for rent between June and September and in which we live the rest of the time. We are in the heart of a region full of history and prehistory and plenty of things to see, prehistoric caves or with concretions, feudal castles, dream gardens, walking in nice villages, "gabares" on Dordogne or Vézère rivers, in addition to many other more traditional hobbies (golf, riding, tennis, kayaking...). It is also a world famous region of gastronomy and wines. People are friendly and the air is pure, far from the industrial, urban and agricultural pollution. But you can also choose idleness and relaxation, outside dining two steps away from the pool, swim in its warm water (around 30 °) in the gentle warmth of the shelter, at any time and any weather ... In short, cultural enrichment, breath of fresh air, relaxation and rest garanteed.
What makes this House unique
Space is a luxury, and here it is everywhere present. The vast wooded and mowed ground (25000m ²), allows nice walking around or let the children gambol without fears. The absence of direct vis-à-vis gives you a total tranquility and privacy. The large swimming pool and its large tiled beaches are of real comfort and can be appreciated at any time (illuminated at night), in the open air with the shelter open (it is motorized, no effort to make), or with the shelter on to enjoy a soft warmth, without wind, without insects, even in rainy wheather, and also protected from UV rays... This shelter can be locked for a total security in case of young children not knowing how to swim. The water is heated by heat pump every day and its temperature is guaranteed above 28 ° (and more often above 30 °) from the beginning of June to the end of September. You can lounge for hours without becoming cold blue. And of course it is possible to bathe in complete privacy, out of view... The house is very clear, tiled, very well equipped and comfortable, largely open to the outside. All the windows overlook a preserved and flowered nature. It will be delivered in perfect condition of maintenance and cleanliness, furnished with taste, decorated without ostentation, at least we think. Finally, in this rural countryside with dispersed habitat, calm and tranquility will be at the rendezvous.

This is our second visit here and it was just as memorable and beautiful as the first. The photos are accurate but when you get there it is even better. The house is in an amazing setting and caters for everything you would need for a perfect holiday. The host, Jean-Louis, is very kind and friendly and happy to make your stay as good as possible. The outdoor area is great with things to keep you entertained whether you are 3 or 42 (our groups age range!) The pool is lovely and a great temperature and the magic show was loved by all!! Thank you Jean-Louis, we hope to see you next year.
Hi Matt, Paul, Jen and Jo, and our little Sam and Josh. Thanks for having choosen our home again for your holidays, we were very glad to have you home again. Glad to see too that you've loved our little improvements, some weren't yet on the site when you booked...

Well what can I say! If we could give 10 stars we would so it has to be 5++. Jean-Louis and Ann-Marie were the most helpful accommodating , and lovely hosts . Letting us use their beautiful maison set in acres of land with so many activities and of course the fantastic swimming pool with cover . We as a family of 9 had an absolutely wonderful stay , and would recommend this adorable place to everyone .The magic show for the kids was amazing Jean-louis.

Our family holiday
From the moment we booked this amazing home the owners were brilliant and so helpful.. As for the week we spent there, on getting back home my 13 year old daughter said to me, thank you Dad for the most amazing holiday of my life.. I can I add to that! except to say we will all be going back for more.😃
Hi David and the whole family. We were glad to have you home and are ready for more... And anyway, a week is too short and you have plenty more to see in our nice Dordogne, and Ava must improve her French. Warmest regards. Jean-Louis and Anne-Marie.
Homely experience ...
We stayed for just one week. Greeted by the owner who was very welcoming. The villa was clean and tidy and the fridge were stocked with essentials for our late arrival. Shops were just 15 min drive away, bakers, supermarket and bank all to hand but not too close. Perfect. Would recommend this property without hesitation.
Hi Louise, we were very glad having welcomed you as our last guests for this third year. We apreciated a lot that you left everything tidy and very clean! 4 months with many new interesting people, and for some of them, a second stay home ! A sympathetic family who came two years ago gave us a very nice surprise by inviting us for diner in their new rental (as they decided too late to rent our home again, but it was already full). And our very first guests (June 2016!) dropped by from Belgium one evening to say hello!!!
On the other hand, after four months living in our caravans, we're back in our home again, and guess what? we do find it quite very nice too...
Hope to see you again one day...
Jean-Louis and Anne-Marie.
A most welcoming and accommodating host. A beautiful, well equipped property. A brilliant pool and outside space.
We’ve just enjoyed a lovely, relaxing week here; and would love to return.
Bergerac is very interesting and lovely to explore, especially the old town. Loads of restaurants, we recommend Le Vin Quatre for that ‘special’ meal.
Thank you for everything Jean-Louis.
Hi Steve and Anne. Thanks too, very relaxing for us too, very little to do when you leave, perfect... An idea, Steve... As you are a private pilot, maybe one day you could fly to Bergerac, a Piper Arrow (Pa28!) is slower than the Boeings of Ryanair, but easier to go sightseeing around! We hope to see you again, whatever the circumstances may be...
Warm regards. Jean-Louis.
