Dam Neck House Rental Photos and Description

This home is just two short blocks to the oceanfront. 3,000+ square feet of luxury living awaits you in this two level executive home on beautiful Lake Christine. Huge Deck an Gazebo. Master on Main Level. The best of both worlds -- ocean and lakefront. Water views from nearly every room.

This home was newly renovated in Spring of 2014 with all new furnishings, small appliances, bedding, linens, dishes, pots & pans, and cutlery. Unlike most beach homes in Southern Virginia and Nags Head, our prices include linens, set up, customary exit cleaning service, and laundering of sheets, towels, and linens. Just bring yourselves and life preservers for small children.

There is a huge deck and gazebo with views down the full length of the lake. It has a granite top table, quality deck furniture as comfortable as your living room, furnished gazebo and gas grill. Hot and cold exterior shower for removing beach sand. Lots of sand toys for the kids.

The spacious rooms and large deck/gazebo are ideal for family reunions, gatherings and retirements. Children love paddle boating and fishing on the lake from a small private dock. There is both ocean and lake fishing. Two bikes, paddleboat, fishing poles, crab nets and crab traps, horseshoes, croquet, and badminton games are provided. There is a Beach Buggy to move small children, beach umbrellas, chairs, snacks, and fishing equipment to the beach. Bring or rent a surfboard, kayak, or canoe. Send the kids to the three-day neighborhood Surfing Camp. There are only a few rental homes in this year-round residential neighborhood.

Within Croatan Beach, the oceanfront has a dedicated area for surfing at one end of the beach and at the very opposite end of the beach, there are Virginia Beach lifeguards and other city services such as playground, bathrooms, outside showers, changing station, paved parking lot at the dunes, and wooden ramp over the dunes. In between, the beach is never crowded as it is surrounded by private residences and very limited street parking. Croatan is a very low traffic area.

There is just so much to do nearby in addition to sunbathing on sugary white sand--surfing, beach fishing/crabbing and biking in the immediate area. Croatan is walking distance (about 10 blocks) to the Boardwalk (public resort area), lots of really good seafood restaurants, deep sea fishing, shopping, Virginia Aquarium, whale/porpoise watching boats, Auto World bumper/racing cars, child-size Water Park, Miniature Golf, boardwalk rental bikes (individual, tandem and family surrey bikes).

At Rudees Inlet, there are party fishing boats and private charter deep sea fishing, jet skis, and wind surfing. All this within 5 blocks North or South. There is a free city trolley for transportation all around town and to the tourist sites and shopping centers. The City of Virginia Beach has fireworks on Wednesday and Sunday nights, live music and entertainment on the boardwalk about every 5 blocks, and ever changing festivals. Kids and adults love to ride bikes on the Boardwalk. Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, historic Yorktown and Jamestown, Norfolk Waterfront with its ships museum, Navy Base carrier tours, and Chrysler Museum are all within an hour away. Nags Head, the Wright Brothers Flight Museum, and Coralla wild horses are 75 minutes away. There is just too... much to do for a week or even a month.

The house has four (4) TVs and DVDs, Wii games (Mario kart and resort sports & bring some of your own), movies, and board/card games for rainy days. For the techie types, there is DSL, Wifi, and an MFC fax/scan/copier/printer.

Please - No Smoking, no pets, no high heels on wood floors, - - Sorry for any inconvenience.

Virginia Beach has a wonderful, long beach season that starts in Spring. Late March, April and May have very balmy, warm days with clear blue skies. Spring flowers and shrubs start blooming from Mid March. Needless to say, Summer is breezy, sunny and hot. September, October and early November are delightful. The Weather is great and the water is warmest in the Fall through early November.

******** THINK *** SPRING *** SUMMER *** FALL **********WINTER**************************

To Celebrate your special day in 2015 or to get your preferred Summer 2015 week, reserve early! The reservation calendar is kept up to date.

Non-Summer Holiday Weeks ( Easter, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years) prices are $2,995 plus 14% tax. Summer Hi-Season Holiday Weeks (mid June to nearly end of August) are $4,295/week. What makes this house unique

Long beach season--April to mid November. Constant refreshing breeze, beautiful lake scenery and Two Short Blocks to Beach. Most homes are occupied by full-time, year-round residents. This house really does have it all, large, bright and airy rooms, great kitchen, beautiful deck, lovely lake views, just minutes from the beach. There were 10 of us, ages 7 to 70, and we all had a great time. Every thing is in tip top condition and the owner is a pleasure to deal with. Don't know when we will all be together again, but would return here in an instant.

Great family vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

This house had it all...fully equipped, plenty of space, close to beach, close to boardwalk and with the most beautiful deck. We spent a lot of time and ate our meals outside. Owners were great to work with and made the process easy. Would highly recommend it.

This was our first foray into a beach home vacation. We couldn't have picked a better location and realtor to deal with. We were a company of 6 adults and 5 children ranging from age 3 to 14. The house was so comfortable and large that everyone had space to mingle or be alone. The outside deck was very accomadating with gazebo to catch the evening breezes from the lake. The whole family enjoyed the use of the paddle boat.

The private beach access was only 2 1/2 blocks away. With the beach buggy and supply of beach chairs, etc. we were able to enjoy every morning. The kitchen blew me away with the complete array of utensils and appliances. We did have one glitch with a malfunctioning refridgerator, however once we notified the realtor they had a technican there and replaced it within 24 hrs. Kudos to Simone , Marlyn and rest of staff.

I could definetly see use returning in the future and have spoken to my co-workers and family about the location. Quiet area and very accessable to many attractions in the area and the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Thanks for making our first time so enjoyable.

  • 5 of 5

Perfect spot for our family reunion. Grandparents loved the huge deck, scenery, and constant breeze. Kids loved the beach, paddleboat, and biking to the boardwalk. Spacious rooms throughout, fully equipped kitchen, games, Wii, movies, internet. Nearby attractions for every age group. We love Virginia Beach. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Great House!

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic house in a great family friendly neighborhood. Even though we were a group of Bachelors, we very much appreciated the clean home and nice linens. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to get away for the week or weekend. Great price for the location and amenities.

Be prepared to lose your deposit here

The listing is accurate re the location: it is a very nice area near VB downtown attractions. Beach is very good and not too crowded. There are areas for surfing and swimming, as well as for fishing. Good for boating and kayaking. For restaurants, you would need to drive. Amenities include a nice lake you can access from the backyard. Kitchen is adequate, except the fridge, an older GE model with very limited ice production. The house is clean and well-maintained, although certain things, such as bathrooms, would take some updating. We grade our experience here as “poor” and do not recommend it because of the owner claimed a kitchen faucet/valve replacement ($300+) without showing any receipt or any proof at all that there was a plumbing damage related to our stay.

Owner's Response: WE ALWAYS AIM TO evidenced by the other good reviews. Disappointed with this guest's misunderstanding. The guest chose not to purchase damage insurance. Receipts were provided and are available to any guest. Appliances mostly new Kitchen-Aid brand.
