This property was perfectly situated As we had a wedding in Branford and did not want to pay for three hotel rooms! It is well located, only a few minutes walk to the town center in Guilford. There was plenty of room for 5 adults, wifi certainly appreciated. We spent some lovely mornings and evenings on the enjoyed our visit very much.

'We had a wonderful time at this lovely home in Guilford. We found the home to be cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We will definitely stay here again in the future. We loved being able to walk to town to the Green, shoppes, restaurants, etc. I would definitely recommend this home to my friends and family. And the woman we worked with was also so sweet and helpful.'

About Yvette Fournier

Mother, Grandmother, wife, sister, friend,....Creative Spirit..Founder of Spaces of the Heart. This house has allowed me to keep building a Healing Art Center in Old Saybrook, Ct..Today would be Jason's 41st Birthday, Tragically his life was cut short almost 18 years ago. The loss of Jason was so devasting for me. I could hear Jason say, Mom just paint. I painted, I went back to Maui alone, I had to Heal from one of the most horrific times of my life. On the same day, two years later my Mother would die..I went back to Maui, where I had lived the last few months with Jason.I have never told the story, of the reason this house is all part of Spaces of the Heart. Please go to Spaces of the Heart....Love houses and finding treasures...This is my 10th year renting this home. Love to hear that people had a great time and enjoyed the space .I was born in Franklin, Ct and have had the opportunity to live in many amazing places on this planet. I seem to keep coming back to the Shoreline of Ct..

Yvette Fournier purchased this house in 2006

Why Yvette Fournier chose Guilford

Beaches are 5 mins away. Walk to the Town Green, private yard, huge deck wide board floors, fire pit.

What makes this house unique

Walk to town...Dead end street, fireplace, huge deck, beautiful chesnut wide board floors, Price is right.

For one person to rent a room in a Hotel in Guilford, the price is $160. I feel the prices are very fair for 8 people..

Guestbook comments from the manager

The home was perfect for our group!! We loved staying here. Everyone slept super well and we enjoyed hanging out in the common spaces of the house and on the porch when we were home. Guilford is a super cute little town, and the location is super convenient to exploring the greater surrounding area.

charming! It was Guilford at its best!

  • 5 of 5

It was the best place to be! The house had the features and the charms of what I liked about the new england area - and to get a chance to revisit the area and my family during the Christmas holidays. We don't have fireplaces in Florida at our homes, so being able to take pictures of the stockings hung on the mantel with a fire going was one of many memories. The house had many features - washer dryer range and dishwasher - the refrigerator was huge; the showers were nice and hot! and the grandkids loved having their own rooms --- upstairs!! not a thing you usually find in Florida! Very nice and close to the Green.

Great value, clean and charming, close to downtown

  • 4 of 5

This property was lovely! The location was wonderful, so close to the town green surrounded by quaint shops and restaurants. Although it is across the street from some serious looking utilities, that are not a nice view. The back yard is pretty, so the view from the deck is nice. It was very clean and charming inside. Not much curb appeal. It's an old house, but has some important updates. There was plenty of sleeping space for our 4 adults and 4 kids. The living area was a bit tight for us, but everything worked well. A 10 min drive to cute Jacob's beach, small but fun, with playscape. We did have to kill quite a few ants even before we unpacked our food. Do not leave anything on the counters! There was also a hornets nest right above the back sliding door that made it very scary for the kids. We had to buy spray, and deal with a few that got in the house. Overall, this is a nice house for the price.

Sweet and Charming!!

  • 5 of 5

The button factory was very very sweet. The light pours in and the kitchen and laundry room/ back porch area and HUGE deck were our spots!!! The view from the deck so lovely with that huge awning. House gets great inside breezes! Only slight negative was the stairs were a little steep with the babies. (Gates were provided.) All bedrooms very large with huge closets. Will def go back!!! Also Yvette answered my few texts within seconds which I loved! Walk to town, Jacobs beach close drive, also outlets and we had our annual family reunion at Meigs Point! Just a lovely week. :) Great getaway from Brooklyn!

Comfy and clean with great charm and location, location, location!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the Purple Button Factory home. We had ample space and all the items needed for every day use. We loved the location as it was central to all our day trips. The place was immaculate. The furnishings were quaint and fun. I felt like I was staying in my grandmother’s home with modern necessities such as a large flat screen tv, large refrigerator and large washer and dryers. We adored the fun art hanging through out the home. We wished all the windows had screens so we could have enjoyed the night breezes. We went through some trial and error to locate outlets the would hold the charging blocks for our phones and iPads, but we were finally able to use the outlets in the kitchen with reliable results. On humid days the front door would swell and locking and unlocking the front door was a challenge. My daughter became the designated doorman as she had the best results. There were four of us and we never had any issues with hot water when taking showers. Eating breakfast in the cozy kitchen was a wonderful daily event. The location was close to town and very quiet. It was so nice to be with in walking distance of the Guilford Town Green. We have very fond memories of our stay in this lovely home.
