The Looney Bin is Amazing !

  • 5 of 5

The looney bin is a slice of heaven. Spectacular set up. We didn't have to go anywhere but stay there. . . So much fun. There are kayaks, a row boat, life jackets, floats galore and a slide to boot. Our grandchildren cried when we had to leave. Can't say enough on how impressed we were with the house and all it had to offer !

Exceptional value

  • 5 of 5

We loved the property. There was not 1 thing missing from the house. It had every gadget you could think of in the kitchen. The mattresses were more comfortable than most hotels I've stayed in. The family enjoyed the lake front and again there was everything you could ever ask for plus some. We brought our own motorboat and were on the water first thing. The 2 firepits were nice. And my daughter fell in love with the hammock. I enjoyed sitting on the porch doing homework in the morning. The only concern was the road can be busy at times so you need a little caution crossing. But other than that this is TOP NOTCH. We will be back.

Fantastic place!

  • 5 of 5

Our family has rented many vacation homes, but this one is by far the best! Communication with owners was prompt and easy. The lake house itself is extremely clean and comfortable. We loved the kitchen with all the beautiful dishes and pots, pans, baking dishes - no junk here! Everything was in tip top shape. There is a huge pantry in the hall which was awesome! The layout of the house is so nice - very open and spacious. The front deck was great for a view of the lake and the back patio was perfect for a view of the woods and gardens. My granddaughter loved the picnic table at the top of the hill for tea parties with her grandfather! The beds were all very comfortable with nice linens. All of the furniture was lovely. The house is beautifully decorated.

The lake was fantastic! My 7-year old granddaughter had the time of her life on the slide and swimming to the raft. The beach is shallow with a quick drop off but we made her wear her life jacket at all times just to be safe. The house comes with a huge variety of float toys which we made ample use of! There is also a canoe which was great for us. We didn't get a chance to try the kayaks as we couldn't leave our granddaughter alone but they looked great. No worries about the road being between the house and lake - the traffic is light so not a problem at all. There is a huge and lovely deck and dock area to sun bathe in between swims.

We took our granddaughter to Circle B ranch for her first trail ride. The people there are awesome! Also, a trip into Lake George village is less than a half hour away for the one rainy day we had.

I really can't say enough good things about this beautiful home. I hated leaving and hope to come back again!

Peaceful Loon Lake Getaway

  • 5 of 5

I loved my stay at the Loony Bin ! Beautiful location, and the house was comfortable , clean , and well stocked. Very peaceful and quiet, despite the road. (we hardly noticed any traffic going by.) The lake is very clean, and great for swimming and fishing.Joe and Melinda were awesome, and when a minor, unforeseeable issue arose, they took care of it immediately, and they were great about keeping me in the loop. I enjoyed touring the high peaks, and went to Whiteface's summit, which was majestic. Forts William Henry, and Ticonderoga were very cool. It was a great week and I did not want to leave.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

A lot of places online never seem to live up to the description on the site, this place is not one of them. You will not be disappointed. My brother and I rented the house with our college aged kids and had a blast. The place was clean, well stocked with plenty of amenities, and spacious for eight adults. This is the perfect place to either just sit and enjoy the view or go sight seeing with the interstate 10 minutes away. Last but not least the owners were friendly and pleasant to do business with. I would rent this place again.
