The gorgeous oceanfront paradise of Papakea expands over 13 acres of fish-filled lagoons, quaint bridges, beautiful lawns and colorful tropical landscaping. The exquisite burl furniture adds elegance which is rare in a Maui condo. As you lie in your studio's luxuriously comfortable pillow-top king-sized bed, nestled behind a fish pond and sprinkling waterfall, the tall foliage makes you feel you are the only ones on the island. Yet you can relax on your lanai and still see the ocean beyond the beautiful swimming pool.
The first thing you notice about the kitchen, in addition to all the latest appliances, is the large cream stone Bali bowl which not only serves as a very effective kitchen sink, but a wonderful conversation piece that contrasts with the deep green granite counters. Papakea C-107 provides great luxury at an affordable price. With the gorgeous ocean beaches and beachfront restaurants only a short walk from your door, you may instead choose to play miniature golf on one of the two professionally landscaped putting greens, play on one of the two oceanfront shuffleboard courts, play tennis on the lighted court, snorkel and take pictures of colorful fish right off the beach, or take a dip into one of the two beautiful pools or hot tubs. Or you may want to take either a free swimmercize or yoga class or make some new friends in the round-robin tennis tournaments!
You can drive a couple of miles to a choice of championship golf courses - Kapalua or Kaanapali - or take a ferry to the island of Lanai for the Challenge of Manele. Your choice of water activities is endless. It's hard work having so much fun, so you may want to relax in one of Papakea's lawn chairs to enjoy the amazing sunset at the water's edge before making the difficult decision of which of the many first-class restaurants you will choose. Two of Maui's restaurants, Lahaina Grill and Mama's Fish House, were just named in the top 25 restaurants in the U.S.
At the end of the day, sink into your luxurious bed, (guest after guest claims it is the most comfortable they have every slept in), pull out the room copy of Maui Revealed and plan your next day in Paradise!

This was a nice place to stay for our long weekend trip to Maui. The location was good, close to our favorite town of Lahaina. Honestly, we didn't spend much time in our room, except for sleeping. The bed was very comfortable and I loved having the option to cook and eat our meals in our room since eating out can get expensive! I do have 2 minor complaints, one was the shower head. It sprayed out in a large mist and it made rinsing take a bit longer than I feel should be necessary. It got the job done, I just feel like there are some pretty cheap shower heads you could replace it with that would do a better job! My other issue was the the air conditioning. I want to say first that I like to keep my home at about 67/68 degrees, so this may not be a big issue for everyone. I was not expecting the a/c to be a window unit. Maybe I did not read enough reviews, or look into the room description enough. I just saw that it said the room had a/c and thought that was enough. We got to the room later than expected due to flight delays and the a/c was not on so it was pretty hot in there. We were ready for bed but the room was just too hot for me, so I had a hard time falling asleep. There are some nice fans to help with cooling the room down and after having the air on for a couple hours, it did cool off to a more comfortable temperature. I just had to keep the air on all the time. I probably wouldn't have noticed a problem with it if the air had been on when we arrived.
Overall, we were satisfied with our stay here. I would stay here again. My complaints were not so bad that I was unhappy with our stay. A comfortable bed, clean room, kitchen, and great location are the key for me when looking for a place to stay and this had all those and more. One more thing, I LOVED having the washer and dryer in our room as well! Who doesn't love coming home to unpack CLEAN clothes!
The studio had everything we needed, including a welcoming continental breakfast with Expedia to help us plan our events and get some great deals. The resort offered a number of things to do such as miniature golf and shuffle board and also included, yoga, swimmercize and tai chi. Being on the ground level gave us the ability to get around quicker and the view from the lanai to the garden was beautiful. All the comforts of home at your finger tips within the studio, thank you Sue for allowing us to rent your home.
Sue's condo was great!
Beautiful ocean views, putting green steps from lanai, classic Hawaiian decor, beautiful beaches. Sue has every thing you need, full kitchen, snorkel gear, putters, golf balls.
The condo complex was in a great location, close to Old Lahaina, Whaler's Village, Ka'anapali Beach, and many other beautiful beaches. Excellent facilities, pools, BBQS, and helpful concierge from expedia on site for excursions and travel tips.
Overall great experience.
This is the best equipped property that we have had the privilege to enjoy on Maui. Sue was very courteous to work with and all of our concerns were handled very promptly. The grounds at Papakea are beautifully managed and all the amenities that we enjoy were on this resort. We look forward to returning to Maui and this unit and owner will be foremost in our minds when we are able to return. We had a wonderful accommodation and visit to this location.
Great condo! We love the location of the Papakea, it is the second time I have stayed here.
Papakea is by far our favorite resort and this condo was perfect for my husband and I! It was clean and had everything we could ever need. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed nothing more than watching the sunsets and snorkeling the amazing beaches nearby!
Papakea is just minutes away from both Whalers Village and Lahaina, where you can shop, enjoy meals at first-class restaurants, or just go out for a night on the town. Parking immediately behind C107 is a great convenience.
The resort is located near the uncrowded northern end of top rated Ka'anapali Beach with four championship golf courses nearby. There is great snorkeling right in front of the resort, two pools with spa tubs, two putting greens, a lighted tennis court, and a dozen grills set within 13 acres of tropical splendor dotted with koi ponds. A bridge leads to a property with an oceanfront cafe and a children's camp. Yoga, pilates and swim workouts are complimentary and surfing classes are available for a surcharge.
The lush waterfall with craggy rocks, moss, and palms immediately outside your glass sliding door, explodes on your wall of mirrors which brings this lovely tropical garden view inside in a dramatic way. The tropical splendor outside your unit beckons you to explore. Take a stroll across your lanai to the edge of the koi pond in front of your unit. Stand on the little bridge and watch the calming motion of the many different colored koi in the pond. Now look out over the grounds of Papakea and enjoy the manicured grounds the colored flower beds, the putting greens, and coconut palms.
Walk over to the Molokai pool tiled to appear as if you are swimming with beautiful fish. Take a dip or relax in the hot tub or sauna. Papakea offers swimmercize lessons three mornings a week in addition to yoga lessons. Or you can check out shuffleboard or putting equipment from the Front Desk or snorkel or play in the ocean waves roaring right beside you. You can barbecue and picnic by the pool while you enjoy the never-ending waves that roll into Papakea's beach.
You are on the Molokai side of Papakea and there is a mirror image on the Lanai side just a few steps away with more tropical gardens, the Lanai Pool, another 18 hole putting green and oceanfront shuffleboard.
Your Papakea unit blends seclusion with the convenience of being right across the street from the best grocery store in the area, Times Market, a snorkel shop, delicatessen, Mexican Restaurant, real estate office, coffee shop, "make-your-own-pancakes" restaurant called Slappy Cakes, therapeutic massage, fish market, sub shop, Italian restaurant, fishing and tackle shop, and many more.
