Peaceful and relaxing
Beautiful property and location!
Great place to get away from it all
One could not ask for more helpful, thoughtful hosts than Tony and Dottie. The cabin had everything one would need for a worry free vacation and they were always available to answer questions, give history of the area or just chat without intruding on your personal privacy. The cabin was spotless, the views magnificent and the area fun to explore. A great vacation for sure. You
Secluded cabin on the bay
We loved the Maine-ly cabin!
It was far enough out to be quiet, but close enough to town for supplies or sight seeing.
The views from the loft and deck were fantastic and the bay shore location encouraged daily beach walks.
Made some great memories here.
Hope to come back.
Fantastic time spent . Home equipped with all items-housekeeping very clean-view from deck great
Totally enjoyed time spent. View of Bay beautiful from deck when drinking morning coffee. Very calm atmosphere-all furnishings in home well taken care of by renter . Great 4 days spent in Mainely Home Log Cabin
Amazing location! Excellent hosts!
Our stay at Mainely Home was perfect! So relaxing; quiet and secluded! The home was on prime real estate, right on the water; we saw tons of wildlife. Tony and Dottie were gracious hosts and the home had everything we needed! We couldn’t have picked a better place!
place is exactly as advertised; owner was very friendly and helpful; we will be back
Lubec is about as 'Down East' as you can get. It is the easternmost town in the U.S. and home to the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse. Whales, porpoises, eagles, osprey, moose and bear inhabit the region. Beach roses, wild iris, and beach peas line the pristine shoreline. In Lubec you will find sandy beaches (a rarity this far Down East), bold coastal cliffs, and wildflower meadows.
The Lubec area is host to three state parks, four lighthouses, a national wildlife refuge, and several nature preserves, all of which offer a variety of well-maintained hiking trails. Local whale, wildlife, and puffin tours offer the chance to observe nature up close from the water, as do local kayak and canoe rental facilities and many public boat ramps. There is a golf course and fresh water swimming near by. You'll find it all here: rich history, spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife, and friendly people. You won't find pollution, crowds, traffic jams, or glitzy souvenir shops.
Other Activities: Whale watch, puffin tour, sailboat excursion, history tours, lighthouses.
