About Steffanie Pearce-Vasquez
My parents built this log home in 2005 so that our family would have a place to gather in the summers. We have enjoyed many large family gatherings here. It is far away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives and business owners and parents of school age kids. Our family is originally from northern Ohio. We all migrated south and most of us live in southwest Florida now.
Steffanie Pearce-Vasquez purchased this Cabin in 2005
Why Steffanie Pearce-Vasquez chose Green River Highlands
We chose this property because it offers a contrast to our regular life style. We enjoy the inspiring views of the mountains and cooler weather than we get in Florida summers. The gated community of log homes provides security but the neighbors know each other and are always welcoming. Wild life is abundant here, deer, humming birds, wild turkey all visit us. There are plenty of family adventures within a 45 minute drive of the cabin.

Just what the family needed!
What a beautiful retreat to this lovely home! The photos are spot on and the property was exactly as advertised. This was our first trip to the Lake Lure area and our stay was way too short to fit it all in. The most difficult part of our stay was choosing what to do! The home was so cozy and inviting and the river in the backyard and the community area would have been plenty for us to explore if we just wanted to stay close to home. We did hike some nearby falls and Chimney Rock and explored Lake Lure and the charming town of Tryon but we were always being drawn back to the serenity and privacy of the house. Steffanie was great about accommodating us last minute and very responsive to my inquiry! Overall, the looks on my kids faces as they found the joy of unplugging and splashing in the river and climbing on rocks made this a weekend getaway my family will never forget!
Wonderful weekend stay
We had the best time at your cabin. Although it was only for two nights, we felt at home. Everything we needed was available, which made trips to the store obsolete. Thank you so much Steffanie! We will return!
Beautiful house convenient to TIEC
We enjoyed our stay. House was perfect and very convenient to TIEC.
The house was lovely ! Clean and tidy. It was a great location to TIEC. The 3 rd bedroom was in the loft using attic stair case so we only used the two bedrooms on main floor. Beautiful view near the river.
Actually the loft is listed as a 4th bedroom- don't forget there is a bedroom and full bath down stairs too. That is the 3rd bedroom.
Wonderful peaceful location. Remote enough for relaxation/getting away but easy access to fun
Stephanie was easy to work with. She helped my family ease through a difficult situation. Our 3 weeks in her home was over too fast, the cabin so comfortable and home like. Very well maintained and furnished. We recommend this home for any family looking to have a relaxing time together in a quiet neighborhood that is still close to many of our area's local adventures.
JUST PERFECT FOR OUR FAMILY!!!!!
Our family really enjoyed our stay at your home. Although it poured rain night and day we were perfectly content inside playing games, playing pool, cooking and reading. The old bible was awesome!!! The home was so cozy and inviting we felt like we were at home especially when granny played the piano. Thanks so much and we look forward to coming back this spring and summer. We enjoyed meeting Mario too!

Tryon International Equestrian Center is 3 miles from the cabin. This is like Disney land for horse people. They have many events scheduled spring through fall. They include fun rides and games for kids and have several restaurants on site. The World Equestrian Games are there is September so the place will be crazy and expensive during that time. For teens and adventurers, the longest zip line in the country is 12 miles away in Saluda. Chimney Rock and Lake Lure are close by family fun spots with beautiful mountain views, beach, swimming, boat rentals, tubing, garden walks, tourist attraction "Gem Mining" and shops and restaurants. The Biltmore Estates is a must see 45 minutes away near Ashville.
