About Mimi Dysart
I am passionate about hospitality!! My goal is for all of my guest to leave feeling refreshed and well taken care of!! I previously hosted on the other side of the mountains by the south entrance to the parks, I sold that property to focus on this new endeavor which will include a Coffeehouse. My oldest daughter Nikki and her husband Bruce are my cohorts in this new adventure along with two of my grandsons!!
Mimi Dysart purchased this Cabin in 2018
Why Mimi Dysart chose Dunlap
I love the north (big stump) entrance because it does not have as windy of a road to the big trees and is also closer to Hume Lake and of course Kings Canyon!! Great hiking if you are so inclined! :)
What makes this Cabin unique
We are located approx. 19 miles from the entrance and just down the road from the Visitors Center. Easy to see the parks and come back to a clean, cozy, cool or warm depending on the season to relax!!

Relaxing get away
Wow what a great place to stay! The attention to detail definitely showed! The coffee shop was really nice and welcoming.
The owner Mimi was kind and friendly.
The best chocolate chip cookies were in the room to welcome us with a cute sign.
We also had delicious coffee cinnamon rolls and scones and their very cute coffee shop.
We will definitely be back.
Lovely cabin near KingsCanyon & Pinnacles NP
We loved our time spent in the charming cabin near two national parks. The cabin was amazing; so cozy, clean and comfortable. Mimi, the owner, is delightful and extremely friendly. She owns a delicious coffee shop and provides morning coffee and a homemade baked good each morning. Check-in was super easy as access code was provided on morning of check-in. The inside of the cabin was super cozy with queen bed, resting chairs, TV as well as frig, microwave, Kuerig. It was so much better and closer than any hotel in that area. Kudos to Mimi. Would love to visit again.
Thank you so much for your kind words!!! Best to you! Mimi :)
The CUTEST cabin with the BEST personal touches!!
Mimi's 'cozy cabin' was simply amazing!! It was a perfect stop after a long day in the National Parks nearby. Mimi had so many small personal touches that added up to an amazing experience. We were welcomed with a personal note and the BEST chocolate chip cookies that we've ever had! She also prepared each of us a delicious espresso drink, delivered right to our front porch with fresh-baked cinnamon rolls! The cabin was recently renovated and looked brand new! It was clean and tidy, just beautiful! I would not hesitate to recommend staying with Mimi - I hope to return to stay here in the future!!
Thank you Deanna for your kind words!!! I loved hosting you! Please visit again! Mimi :)
A Wonderful Stay in a Wonderful Place
My girlfriend and I stayed here two nights on a vacation to Seqouia National Park and absolutely loved it. The cabins are very cute and cozy and Mimi and her daughter are warm, welcoming, and helpful! The coffee and scones were great too! We cannot recommend this place highly enough!
Thank you Kyle! It was a pleasure meeting you and yours!!! Mimi :)
Cozy cabin close to Kings Canyon/Sequoia
Really nice cabin for two. Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked great (it was over 100 degrees outside) and the amenities were just right. There's not much happening in Clingmans Junction, but we drove into the park and had dinner at Grant's Grove. The cabins location allowed us to explore the Kings Canyon side of the park one day and then head south through Sequoia the next day. We also went to the local pizza place for hand dipped ice cream. Our stay was perfect, highly recommend.
Thank you for your kind words Terri! I’m so thankful you enjoyed your stay and the beautiful park! Take Care! Mimi :)
Is a charming cabin with everyting that you may need with a great terrace and near the Kings Canyon and Sequoia. Mimi is a great host, takes care of every detail and a great cook. We really enjoy our stay. Fully recommended.
Thank you for your kind words! I enjoyed hosting you! Mimi :)
We are on the corner of Highway 180 and Hopewell. We have a coffeehouse in the front and the cabins are in the back. There is a Valero across the street and two little dome buildings on the other corner. You may park on the right side of the cabin. The number on Cozy Mountain is #2. :)
