Fantastic Views and Great Location
Great views from the balcony. My kids loved staying here. Half moon bay is very private and peaceful. We watch the sunrise every morning from our living room. The owners and property manager were very responsive. La Buena Vida as just a short walk away where we had dinner and drinks a few times. I'd recommend this property.
Great Condo and Location
Condo was very clean and staff was very friendly. We really liked the Towels that were super soft and comfortable. We had a great time there and cant wait to come back again.
lo'l kanaab is ideally located and we had a decent stay. but, having stayed in other akumal bay properties earlier, it fell considerably short by comparison. the condo needs upkeep/ maintenance in the living areas (cushions were old and stained, most of the lamps didn't have bulbs, kitchen supplies were mediocre) and bathrooms (main bathroom shower leaked terribly, lights didn't work and the bathroom carpets were awfully old and dirty). the ac remote in the second bedroom was missing. its ok if you just want to wake up right on the ocean in modest comfort but does not deliver to the standard of the price charged.
Super clean, right on the beach beautiful property and very friendly and helpful manager on the property
pervect view, little building very friendly !
We spend with our 2 children a very good week. The condo is large, with all accomodation.
If we need something, Elio who is living in the buildig is very helpful.
Water available in the condo.
It is better to have a car.
Akumal is great, little town with a beautiful beach.
We recommend it and we really hope to come back as soon as possible ;o)
Great Stay in this Lovely Condo
We had a great stay in this condo. It was well equipped and roomy. The owner communicated well with us. The location was fantastic, right on the beach. We really liked that La Buena Vida was just a short walk away. My wife and son had a lot of fun using the free Kayaks. I would recommend this property!
Akumal is for people who want to get away from the busy tourist resorts of Cancun and Cozumel and for those who want to see more of the real Mexican lifestyle of the Mayan Riviera. Akumal, located very close to Playa del Carmen and Cozumel, is a small quaint resort on the tourist corridor between Cancun - Tulum of the Mexican Caribbean, also called The Maya Riviera. It is located 65 miles south of Cancun, 52 miles south of the airport, and 14 miles north of Tulum. Akumal is a excellent destination for those interested in enjoying the Mexican Caribbean, located in the Yucatan Peninsula on the shores of the Caribbean Sea . Akumal is located near the Mayan ruins of Tulum, Xel-ha, Xcaret, Chichen-Itza and Coba. There is a crescent shaped beach called Half Moon Bay that is perfect for basking the sun. Akumal Bay is where sea turtles come to lay their eggs in the summer months...the bay also offers excellent snorkeling along coral reefs in the crystal clear Caribbean waters.
