Best Vacation we have ever had
The house was great. The time together was irreplaceable. Thanks for sharing your house with our family.
To Be Or Not To Be
We enjoyed our stay for an older home they have done some very nice upgrades. It was a bit misleading about the beach access and view. The pic's gave the illusion that there was an ocean view from the upstairs loft and there wasn't. Also the description was misleading about the beach access, it is not an easy access pretty rocky and only a rope to help you get back up. Not suitable for the elderly or small children at all. Also they might find a more suitable location for the wood as it was mostly wet. The TV's need upgraded badly the upstairs room off the loft Dish box didn't work and even though we informed the caretakers it was not taken care of and we were there for a month. Also the carpet in that room is in need for new as there are a lot of stains. We loved Yachats it is a wonderful friendly little town and is a good location to go between Florence and Lincoln City. Even though it says pet friendly it is not fenced in and our dog got out in the road and was almost hit bay a car.
Had a wonderful Christmas with family.
A real home away from home!!
The short one minute walk to the beach passed fairy mushrooms and was soo close. The yard with the swing , had rabbits to watch and amuse us. The hot tub was perfect, covered, though it didn't really rain. My 3 yr old grandson learned immediately that the steep stairs were for going up and the carpeted , less steep stairs , for going down. He loved the adventure and the sand toys left outside, and the view of the trees with the swing. The vhs tapes didn't work and there was not any instruction on using the vhs system but there were DVDs when it got dark! A lovely place!! my grandson asked if we could stay there FOREVER!!
Cozy beach house
We enjoyed our stay at the Dreamcatcher. The only negative parts were the stairs - just know that they are really steep. It would be great if the house had more than 1 baby gate available and perhaps would install a permanent gate at the top of the loft staircase to help ease parent's peace of mind.
The only other negative was that there does "smell" to be a rodent problem (under the house perhaps) in the kitchen/bath/hallway. The odor is pretty strong when you open the kitchen broom closet for example. May want to hire a pest service.
It was very relaxing
Had a great time and house was real comfortable
Yachats is a small artsy town on the Oregon coast. It is about 20 minutes south of Newport which has a great aquarium and fishing warf area with lots of shops. Lots of golf courses nearby. We have 7 miles of sandy beach. The 'Sea lion caves' are located a short distance to the south. There is great crabbing, fishing and clamming 4 miles to the north. in Waldport bay. We have a wonderful home with hot tub and ping pong table for your enjoyment. Other Activities: Crabbing, Aquarium , clam digging Golf: There are several golf courses in the surrounding area.
