Great place.

  • 5 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the cabin. Still plenty of room with 6 adults and 2 teens. As nice as the inside was, our favorite spot was around the fire pit down on the beach.

Fall Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for 5 couples travelling through Michigan and on up into Canada for vacation. The home is beautifully appointed and very spacious. The location was ideal sitting on Lake Huron with a view of the spectacular sunsets over the water each evening. Enjoyed the fire pit outside and the fireplace inside. A red fox even ran across the yard between the house and the lake. We were hoping to see the northern lights at 2 am, but it was too overcast - that would have made this a 6 star review!

This cabin is amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this cabin was perfect for our extended weekend stay in September. It was a very nice place, and is fully furnished... the only items you need to bring is food and clothes. We were bummed that we didn't think to bring our kayaks, as this would have been a perfect spot to use them.

Lovely, rustic cottage

  • 3 of 5

Unfortunately our vehicle was broad sided by a truck the evening we arrived so it put a damper on the rest of our stay. The cottage and view were lovely. We used the cottage as a base to see other sights in the eastern UP. Our party of 12 did not feel crowded. There were plenty of dishes, cookware, bath towels and hot water. The only negative was the upstairs shower was not usable as the valve allowed only scalding hot water to come out. We did notify the owner but the problem remained during our 4 day stay.

Owner's Response: I am very sorry for your accident but I am not sure how that related to your stay or review of our home. As far as the hot water in the upstairs bathroom we did immediately address it with our plumber and he informed us it is a major job, as the entire faucet has to be replaced so it had to be ordered and there will be a major disturbance to do the job as the wall will have to be sawed into to accomplish the job. Now that I have explained this to you what really is upsetting (because I take reviews seriously) is a 3 star for 1 shower faucet out of 3 bathrooms that did not work and that I had no control over. I would just like say I have rented the house for 12 years and have always had a five star so for future guest reading this revew I only hope you read the rest of our reviews and take the number given by this guest in context.

Beautiful secluded Great Lakes house with quick access to all the Up North hot spots.

  • 4 of 5

Great house for a big family vacation. Sun, waves, beach games, bonfires and plenty of stars. Easy to get to, easy to connect with owners, and lots of space for everyone. I won't rave anymore, because I don't want too much competition for our stay next year!!

Terrific Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is awesome! 5 big bedrooms, 3 bathrooms which was so nice for our group of 9. Plenty of room and so very clean and comfortable. We all enjoyed the view and relaxing around the fire pit. I was lucky to get the second floor bedroom with the balcony. So peaceful sitting out there at night watching the water and listening to nature. The location is great so its not too far to Tahquamenon Falls, Soon Locks, St. Ignace, or Whitefish Point. We all had a great time and urge anyone looking for a clean, roomy, comfortable, beautiful place to spend time away from it all to give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

The home is located in the Upper Penninsula about a half hour East of the Mackinaw Bridge. The area is known for the Les Cheneaux Islands. The home is located in beautiful St. Matin's Bay and has direct views of the Mackinaw Bridge, Little St. Martins Island, Big St. Martins Island and Mackinaw Island. Some of the favorites for the tourist and the locals are visiting Mackinac Island, Mackinac City(shopping and water park), Hessel and the Les Cheneaux Islands by boat, Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie and hiking and biking in the nature trails. There are also many golf courses in the area. Hessel is also known for the Antique Wooden Boat Show in August. But I believe the best feature of the area for most is just relaxing and enjoying the water, scenery and serenity of the beautiful Upper Peninsula with family and friends.

Other Activities: Great trails and road for golf carts and/ or Atvs.

Golf: There are several golf courses located close by: Drummond Island, Hessel, Cedarville, Pickford and Sault Ste. Marie.
