This LOG home built in 2005 is located in the exclusive private community of Lone Mountain Shores. Snuggled on secluded cul-de-sac peninsula and surrounded by water, the home boasts a PRIVATE dock steps from the back door. Go to home website link below for more information, pictures and rental calendar. Go to property website link below for more info.

In addition to the private dock, the home features 5 Bdrms + sleeping loft, 3.5 baths and a driveway that can easily accommodate multiple vehicles / boat trailer. Guests can also enjoy the use of 3 person canoe for those fishing trips or maybe just a relaxing stroll on the lake.

The family room has floor to ceiling windows offering incredible views of the property/lake and also includes HD Flat Screen TV/Satellite, VHS and DVD's. A full kitchen and dining room is connected to a screened porch and a large private deck with a Weber gas grill. The unobstructed views of the lake are breathtaking from this 1+ acre property.

UPSTAIRS: Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, Bedroom 3 has 2 single/twins and they connect to a full bath. The upstairs also includes a loft + sleeping area with a foosball table, DVD's, VHS, satellite TV and various board games for your enjoyment.

Boating Life Magazine referred to renting a home in the New Tazewell area 'a great call' because the relatively rustic Norris is separated from the busier Norris. The purity of Lone Mountain Shores will truly have you slowing down to enjoy life. You are only steps away from the private dock to experience the best of Norris.

Whether you golf (Championship Woodlake Golf Course just a few miles away!), ski, tube, wakeboard, fish, or simply like to float in the pristine waters, Norris Lake and Lone Mountain Shores is truly a one of a kind beauty!

NOW BOOKING 2010: reservation will be held with a $300 security deposit (refunded upon successful check out), balance not due 90 until days prior to reservation date. Go to property website link for MORE pictures, calendar, etc.

About Aimee Frantz

Originally from Springboro, Ohio we recently relocated to Lake Mary Florida. With 3 children in activities we don't make it up to Norris as much as we would like, but it certainly makes us appreciate our time on the lake. The peaceful setting of the eastern side of Norris Lake makes for a more enjoyable, relaxing vacation for families of all ages.

Aimee Frantz purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Aimee Frantz chose Norris Lake

This property is only steps from the water and your private dock. The remote, rustic feel of this area, combined with the modern amenities the home provides will make you appreciate the unique setting & experience that awaits! With repeat guests coming back year after year, we truly are blessed to have such a beautiful property to share. Having vacationed on the other side of Norris for years, Lone Mountain Shores is truly in a category on it's own. Minutes from Bubba Brews, Norris Lakes LARGEST on water eatery / bar and also right around the corner from the newest marina, Norris Landing the access and options are vast for fueling up, grabbing a bite to eat or simply picking up snacks / renting boats & watercraft! If you want to play golf, Lone Mountain Shores is only 2 miles from one Woodlake Golf Club, cited as one of the best new courses in 2000!

What makes this cabin unique

1 - Private dock in your backyard that can hold a maximum of 3 boats

2 - home is perfect for multiple families with separate sleeping areas

3 - low boat traffic makes it safter for kids recreational activities on the water

4 - one of the cleanest lakes in the region

5 - Bubba Brews Sports Bar (largest on Norris Lake) is 20 minutes by boat away - but also close to 4 other marinas, including Jimmys's Place Bar & Grill.

5- hot tub & fire pit overlooking lake. Gentle stais to dock.

6-fully equipped home with everything you will need for your Norris experience

7-a 3 person canoe and 2 paddle boards included with all rentals

We loved our time at Lone Mountan Shores on beautiful Norris Lake.

  • 4 of 5

Two families enjoyed a week of boating, canoeing, paddle boarding and fishing. Although the fishing only yielded three turtles and one fish, we sure gave it our every effort.

The house is beautiful and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were very responsive to the minor issues we had.

The stairs down to the lake gave all of us a great workout and we all left at the end of the week feeling like we built up our leg muscles!

Many fond memories of the week including games and movie nights! We thoroughly loved our stay here!

Beautiful, cozy, and well stocked

  • 5 of 5

8 of us and our two dogs stayed here for a week. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need. The interior was clean and cozy, yet had enough space for 12 people. It had most of the modern conveniences you would want. The decks, grill, hot tub, fire pit and floating dock were great. The lake was beautiful and not too much boat traffic this time of year (8/6-8/13).

Minimal gripes would be no cell service (almost none anywhere short of the middle of the lake) and the last part of the stairs leading to the floating dock on property was a tricky to navigate (dropping water level probably contributed to this).

We would definitely go again.

Wonderful! Clean! Beautiful house!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home for a week toward the end of July. We had a wonderful stay! The home is gorgeous and well kept. It was clean and organized. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of rooms for our family. We loved having an extra fridge in the garage and 2 washers and dryers. We also loved the game collection and supplies like a high chair and pack n play! The lake is clean and this area of the lake is quiet. We rented a boat at a local marina and used it every day. The Frantz family was very easy to work with and provides all the information you will need for your stay! Couldn't recommend it more!

Great value, one big issue

  • 3 of 5

Nice property, very secluded. 25 minutes off the highway keeps the area private. House was really well equipped and very clean. Town and marinas within 10 minutes once you get to the road so watercraft rental and re-supplying is easy. Nice views of lake/river with little boat traffic which was nice for us and the 8 grandchildren who loved playing in the water. Stairs down to the dock were reasonably easy to negotiate, but for older folks, adding a railing might be a good idea. Only big negative was that the stairs stopped about 3 feet above the level of the dock. We were told that was due to the low lake level but it did not seem like any of the other docks we saw had that issue. Kids were able to jump down and climb back up but grandma never was able to make it down. Too bad that a couple of stairs too few partially spoiled the experience.

Tennessee trip Dec-15

  • 5 of 5

The cabin experience was wonderful, we did a 14 group trip without feeling crowded, the cabin was very comfortable that fit everyone. Kids and adults enjoy the nature around the cabin, we went kayaking on the beautiful lake, exploring the mountains, fishing, playing table games at night and the hot tub, it really was an unforgettable experience recommendable for everyone, we felt like being at home without want to return home and stay forever through a peace and relax vacation. Thank you for everything Mrs. Frantz we will be back pretty soon to your lovely cabin.

Nice House on the Lake

  • 4 of 5

The house is spacious and fit 5 couples in separate bedrooms comfortably. It was decorated very nice and had a very well stocked kitchen and 2 refrigerators, which was great for the large family meals we had every night. We had an unseasonably warm weekend in November so we were able to take advantage of the dock and canoe. One thing about the dock, there are a ton of steps to actually get down to it. No railings either so it was quite a hike - I'm not sure it would be a great fit for families with small children but for our group of 10 adults it was ok (tiresome, but ok - the lake views were worth it). The drive to get back to the cabin was more than I expected but as long as you do it in daylight (and have 4-wheel drive if its snowy/icey) you should be fine. I would definitely recommend double checking your grocery list before you arrive at the cabin as it is at least 30-40 minutes to just get back on to main roads. We had some small issues with the property but overall, it was a beautiful cabin that comfortably accommodated our multi-family trip so we were happy with the rental.
