The property was easy to find and the house was situated in the most peaceful setting surrounded by trees and visiting wildlife. The house was charming with a rustic appeal and very comfortable. We appreciated the cleanliness of everything and the conveniences provided, such as washer, dryer, and wifi. The owners were easily accessible and very helpful. It's definitely a place to get away from the rat race. We found many hiking trails nearby and easy day trips like the Royal Gorge and a wolf sanctuary .Would certainly recommend the Hideaway for those wanting to disconnect from chaos and reconnect with nature. There was one drawback, however, and that was the lack of availability of cell phone service, but there was a landline at the house as well as wifi for emailing.
This is was our 5th stay at "The Hideaway" since 2007. If you like the hustle and bustle of city life, then this is not the place for you; however if you want to disengage from the hectic city life and recharge your batteries, then this is the perfect place to do it! The views of the Wet Mountains are fantastic with plenty of wildlife seen on and around the property.
Wonderful hideaway property with all the right amenities. Kids had a great time and so did we.
What an awesome cabin and area!! Beautiful mountains all around and filled with wildlife! Best place to be if you "want to be in the middle of no where!" And you are only about 18 miles away from Westcliffe. Everything that you need is at the cabin, and we had a great time with the pool table. Clean and very comfortable and there is even DISH and WiFi! Loved the cooler temperatures as well! Would stay there again!
My family had a wonderful time at the Hideaway. Beautiful views and what a peaceful setting. The house was great. We could have used another bathroom but we made do.! The photo doesn't do the place justice. It was amazing!
Our stay at "The HideAway" was fabulous! The house was VERY clean and cozy. Our group consisted of seniors, adults and small children and it worked well for all of us. The kitchen (whole house really) was stocked with everything you could possibly need. If you are looking for a very secluded and peaceful get-away, this is a wonderful choice. The owners were very accomodating and easy to work with. This home is located in a very beautiful part of CO and not too far from many attractions. The views during the drives always made them worthwhile. Would definitely return.
