This place is amazing!

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking to really get away from it all, this place is absolutely perfect. The house has everything you'll need, internet, dish washer, coffee, etc. I would recommend grocery shopping before you get here as the store is about 30 minutes away. The house itself is cozy & fun. It has a pool table, laundry, dishwasher, and great views from all directions. We will definitely come back!!

Peaceful, quiet, a star gazer's paradise

  • 5 of 5

This was our first HomeAway VRBO experience and it was a most enjoyable one! The cabin was very clean and well stocked. Lavonne was very easy to deal with in working out the details. The cabin is perfectly located to provide a feeling of seclusion but yet close enough for fun day trips. If you are a star gazer, this is your paradise. Thanks Lavonne!

Owner's Response: We've had many renters stay at the Hideaway and it's always a pleasure to see how much they enjoy the house and the area. We've been very fortunate that everyone treats the house as if it were their own. We love sharing the house and our beautiful valley. We especially enjoy the fact that a number of visitors have returned and become friends.

A little slice of paradise

  • 5 of 5

We spend a long-overdue vacation week at this little gem of a cabin and loved every minute of it. Exceptionally clean and well-stocked we lacked for nothing. The owners were very hospitable and made our stay a true pleasure. Lots of wildlife to see and enjoy. Being able to bring one of our Border Collies to share the adventure was just what I needed in order to relax and enjoy. Convenient to Westcliffe, Bishops Castle and lots of beautiful scenery. I could have stayed another 2 weeks with ease and look forward to returning some time soon. A little treasure in the mountains!

Peace and quiet at the Hideaway

  • 4 of 5

The property was easy to find and the house was situated in the most peaceful setting surrounded by trees and visiting wildlife. The house was charming with a rustic appeal and very comfortable. We appreciated the cleanliness of everything and the conveniences provided, such as washer, dryer, and wifi. The owners were easily accessible and very helpful. It's definitely a place to get away from the rat race. We found many hiking trails nearby and easy day trips like the Royal Gorge and a wolf sanctuary .Would certainly recommend the Hideaway for those wanting to disconnect from chaos and reconnect with nature. There was one drawback, however, and that was the lack of availability of cell phone service, but there was a landline at the house as well as wifi for emailing.

Relaxing getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is was our 5th stay at "The Hideaway" since 2007. If you like the hustle and bustle of city life, then this is not the place for you; however if you want to disengage from the hectic city life and recharge your batteries, then this is the perfect place to do it! The views of the Wet Mountains are fantastic with plenty of wildlife seen on and around the property.
