OWNERS LIVE ONSITE: We have owned this house since 1983 and operated it as a day to day Inn until 2012. Since then we have preferred to rent it as a five bedroom weekly rental unit. (More free time less work for us ). We live on premise with a separate entrance apartment comprising about 50% of the first floor of the house. We know and love Cape Cod and all of the New England area and are willing ( if requested ) to share our insights with you. We are often out and about on a bike or a boat but can be contacted should a problem concerning your rental property arise. Thank you Sean and Sheila Regan.
We are native Bostonians who operated this house as a bed and breakfast from 1983 to 2012. Presently we rent on a weekly basis as described in home away#140074. We continue to reside in our first floor separate entrance owners apt. during the summer season and now enjoy our new found freedom to come and go as we please except for Saturdays which is changeover day. We know and love Cape Cod and are willing to share our passion for it with you. Sean and Sheila Regan
Sean Regan or Sheila Regan purchased this house in 1983
Location, location, location, oceanfront with plenty of lawn area, plus a nice classic beach bungalow house. Our son had his wedding reception in the side yard in 2012 and our daughter had hers here as well in 2014.
Being able to be near the beach 24 hours a day. Enjoy the sea breeze, see the birds, boats and bathers. Also having a private beach just 100' from your door is a major plus. Its great to just take a dip several times a day without travel, parking, logistics to content with.
my first trip to Cape Cod exceeded my expectations. I have continued to rave about the incredible clam chowder. My grandparents are very fond of Cape Cod and I now understand why.
Our large group ages 6-85 loved our beach vacation here! Sean and Shelia are so kind, friendly and easy to work with. The layout is a bit quirky, but it worked well for our group, with plenty of space for kids, tweens and adults. Beautiful private beach (bring water shoes, its rocky) entertained our kids for hours. We also enjoyed the large yard, gas and charcoal grills, outdoor shower, scenic walking path along the pond and dining table big enough for our large group. Great place overall!
Such a nice, relaxing home, from the gathering room/kitchen to the individual bedrooms - 3 of which have their own separate entrances and bathroom/showers. We had 8 adults and 4 kids, one of which is 3. We arrived to a center piece of roses, a watermelon, local cookies, and crackers. Although I didn't use the shower in my room, the outdoor shower was the way to go - most of us were in line for it each day! All rooms have a wonderful view. My daughter loved the nook upstairs with the view of the ocean even though it was off the main meeting room. The private beach was near perfect - the owners have a bunch of chairs and surf chairs and allow you to bring over a couple wind break tents over too - just bring your cooler! And speaking of the owners, such wonderful people!! I was a bit concerned when I found out they were on site, but how off my thoughts were - so pleasant and personable, and knowledgable off their hometown. So many places to walk to to eat, get ice cream, even the Falmouth fish market is a 15 - 20 minute walk through a lovely town. Oh, and we saved parking by walking to the Island Queen ferry to go to Martha's Vineyard! We don't return to places for our family vacations, simply so we experience new places each year, but this may just be our first repeat!! Thank you for a wonderful week!
Our 4 families totally 9 plus to babies had a wonderful time. The house was exactly what we wanted. The private beach across the street was so special. The upstairs room with the large dining table and kitchen was our gathering place. Each bedroom was perfect and the separate entrances allowed for groups of the family to come and go without disturbing others. The owner on site was always helpful with any of our needs and gave us good counsel on places to go. The town of Falmouth was a great base for activities. The Light Opera, the Falmouth Commodores, the Twin Lobster Boil, the British Beer Pub, and Main Street restaurants were all great. Our family, which lives in California, Missouri and Connecticut were able to spend some very meaningful family time together in this beautiful home, backyard and beach.
A casual, cozy spot in a wonderful location. Our four adult children, spouses and grandchild all had plenty of room and privacy. Owners Sean and Sheila could not have been nicer, even providing us all with a tour of Wood's Hole by boat, pointing out fabulous we could have never seen from the road. Went swimming at least once every day and the outside shower was a great treat.
I am from Montreal and had the chance to stay at the beautiful Sea Shell Inn twice. This was one of my family's favorite vacation spots.
With spacious accomodations and clean grounds overlooking a beautiful beach, this place becomes paradise thanks to the warmth in the Regan Family's hospitality. They treated us like family ;)
Often when I felt low in my life, I went back to the Sea Shell Inn in my mind and let the coziness of this place wash all over me. I have been many places in my life but none has been as magical as this one. My foundest childhood memories rest at the Inn...
A must see!
Our party consisted of 8 adults composed of 3 couples and 2 singles who had their own bedrooms. The location was outstanding and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. Our group regularly enjoyed use of the beach and outdoor sitting areas. The second floor TV, sitting, and dining area was spacious, nicely decorated, and had plenty of tableware. The second floor bathroom was also spacious but lacked a shower, presenting an inconvenience for the occupants. The front apartment had problems with the smoke and CO detectors keeping the occupants awake and with vertical blinds that didn't work. The northeast guest room, had good window ventilation and a comfortable queen bed. But it had little walk-around room, and it's chest of drawers operated with difficulty. The resident owners were quick to respond to problems as they were made aware of them and were most congenial hosts. Overall we had a good experience.

This house operated as a bed and breakfast guest house for many years. Home away #140074 describes that part that is a five bedroom weekly rental unit. There is a separate entrance, self contained, owners apartment that is occupied by the Regans on the first floor. Please note rental periods are Saturday to saturday only.
