About Mark or Leslie

Hi my name is Mark, my wife Leslie and I want to Welcome you to our cabin VRBO Site

we are blessed to be the care takers of this great property. Let us tell you a little bit about it.

We have outfitted our cabin to be like we would want it to be to live there. That means that most everything is New Inside, the beds are comfortable, the interior is remodeled the furniture is Good Quality & New. The Cabin is Kept Very Clean and Well Maintained. There are 2 Nice porch swings & plenty of Rockers & Adirondack Chairs for all who come to stay. We want all our customers to feel right at home and to want to return to 'Another Day in Bearadise' time & time again. We want them to feel like this Cabin is Their Mountain Retreat Get Away Spot from today's very hectic lives that we all live. So come give us a try you will not be disappointed!

Mark or Leslie purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Mark or Leslie chose North Carolina Mountains

We fell in love with the Town of Franklin & the Franklin Area. The area is so beautiful with the rolling mountains, flowing streams & rivers. Not to mention the great number beautiful water falls around the area. Beside the beauty of the area, the people in and around Franklin area are very friendly to new comers. Also Franklin is very close to so many things to do and places to see with in a few minutes or hours. All this without the craziness and business of a larger city. The Gem mining is the best of any place I know around the country. But the thing I personally love the most is to be able to just get away from it all and to just relax in a rocker with my feet propped up on a the porch rail and just enjoy the views, sounds and fresh air of being in the mountains.

Beautiful mountain setting

  • 4 of 5

This cabin has a well stocked kitchen. We brought some things from home because of experiences at other cabins, but the kitchen had about everything we could have wanted. Our family enjoyed a nice quiet get away with a little bit of hiking. We even enjoyed a couple of fires in the wood stove on the cool evenings. It was a good vacation!

Excellent Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have never been in the Franklin area as we always venture to Brevard to see Pisgah, Dupont and Gorges. This was a nice treat to be relatively close to the Great Smokies in Cherokee. Plenty of places to hike and fish. We even ventured further north to Cataloochee Valley to see the Elk. WELL WORTH THE 2 HOUR DRIVE, however if you are prone to car sickness the roads would not be good for you in Cataloochee.

The cabin is excellent. Beautifully decorated, comfortable, well stocked. Porches were amazing. The shower had great water pressure and tons of hot water, well needed after a full day in the mountains. I would recommend this cabin to families or couples. The living room was very accommodating, TV's worked great, plenty of channels. The drive is not bad, we made it up the driveway in a Honda Accord, just have to be careful to make sure no ruts or mounds are in the way. (There were not when we were there) During our time in Franklin, Cherokee and Cataloochee Valley we saw 11 Elk (4 males, 7 females), 6 wild turkeys a deer, a woodchuck, and a possum. My husband swears he saw the hind end of the bear, but I didn't see it so it doesn't count.

Outstanding Living,

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter, granddaughter and I just spent 5 wonderful days at Another Day in Bearadise. It was such a wonderful cabin loaded with comfortable leather furniture, beds tons of hot water with great water pressure in the soothing shower. The views from the porch are outstanding. Had coffer and lunch on the wrap around porch enjoying the peace and quiet of the wilderness several days. Loved waking up in this mountain cabin! I would definitely rent this cabin again. Roomy and comfortable. Would love to see a hot tub added to the beautiful porch.

So relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time to Bearadise Cabin and we loved it! It was clean and had everything that we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We went in March and it was cold and we never expected to see snow. What a treat that was for us since we are from Florida! It was so cozy sitting by the wood burning stove and drink our coffee. We were able to go to Cades Cove, Gatlinburg, , Pigeon Forge and do some antique shopping in Franklin. It was a very nice week for both of us.

Love it.

This was our 3rd trip the cabin. Once again, we enjoyed it very much. So relaxing. Near by towns were great places to visit. The cabin is so clean and has everything you would need or ask for. This was our 1st visit on April. We usually go in October to see the leaves change color. Looking forward to going again in October.
