The cottage was very nice however hard to find. Need bigger numbers and needs to be on the front corner or something so you can see it from the road. The lake was nice. The boat situation was not very good. The roads were too narrow and very dangerous when vehicles are coming toward each other. Very hard to turn around and would be complicated if brought our own boat. However it was very peaceful and quiet. Had a great time. The fans were awesome and made a great breeze when needed. The cute little park was fun. The double swing was the coolest swing ever. Great cottage for a family vacation. The lake was clean and beautiful.
I loved our stay at Arbutus Lake. The cabin was exactly as presented in the pictures. The beach was great, the water was crystal clear and the lake was quiet. Although there are several houses that share the beach, it was not crowded- even over the 4th of July weekend. I loved relaxing on the large deck and spending time with my husband, three sons, daughter in law and grandson. The area felt isolated but was very close to Traverse City. We spent one day at Sleeping Bear Dunes which was less than an hour away. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. I would love to come back again some day.
We vacationed for a week and the experience was better than expected. The cabin had a ton of space and all needed amenities. The beach clean and the lake was gorgeous. The only thing I can even make mention of that was not a perfect experience was that the boat provided we not great. The one assigned to our cabin did take on some water. Had we known this we would have brought our boat up. Great location about 15 or so minutes outside of Traverse City. Close to the hustle and bustle but far enough away that you get an up north feel. This place is a dream. We would for sure vacation here again.
The cottage was perfect! It looked just as the pictures said it would and it had everything that you needed to be at a home away from home! Everything was clean and neat and cozy! The surrounding neighbors were friendly and the area was quiet! It was not far from downtown and it was easy to navigate through once we learned the area. There was a great view of the water and we cannot wait to retire during thesummer season! The owners were great and responded very promptly with any questions, concerns, or words of advice!
This place is perfect for a getaway and location to TC couldn't be better. Very quiet setting and very relaxing area. Very clean cottage and comes fully stocked with everything you need to cook whatever you bring. We will be back!
