About Molly Ford
Having made Ellijay our home for over 25 years I cannot think of a better place to spend some time relaxing at than 'Serenity on the Creek'. This beautiful cabin was designed by myself and built by my husband. Having been in the architectural design business for over 10 years it was time for us to create our own get-a-way even if it is located in the same town we live in! This cabin was lovingly built from the foundation up with many unique features besides having all the comforts of home.
Molly Ford purchased this Cabin in 2006

Beautiful, unique, pristine secluded property
My husband and I had a tremendously relaxing time sitting on the deck reading, listening to the stream, relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying quite a few local hikes. The house met all our expectations and provided for all our needs. The hot tub was completely clean, and sparking. We would highly recommend the Tumbling Waters Trail hike. It was incredibly gorgeous and fairly moderate. Our favorite!
Beautiful cabin, secluded and peaceful. Well equipped. Wonderful stay..recharged and ready for the week!
Loved the house and property! Didn’t like hill down to house
Great place to unwind
Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys privacy and the relaxing sound of a water splashing on rocks as it finds its way down the mountain to the open sea. One can truly loose themselves in that sound within such a peaceful setting.
If relaxing and staying put is your style, you will find all the necessities you need right there at the cabin. If adventure is more up your street, you can find an abundance of hiking trails and white water rafting within close range. We were able to enjoy both along with day trips to Dahlonega, Brasstown Mountain and the Georgia Aquarium.
Most of the time we either cooked simple meals at home, or picnic lunch (with a Coleman) on the way. I can always find a picnic table between here and there no matter where I travel. Truly nothing better than eating a wagyu hotdog freshly caramelized while overlooking great vistas of Northern Georgia! It's a perfect way to spend quiet time together as a couple while indulging in yummy treats.
We were also lucky enough to be the only grown adults without children amongst the spectators at the Swimming Pig Races held at a local orchard. Yes, it was worth it, super funny. Oh, and the apples were great too!
A couple of very minor glitches in our stay at the cottage were handled in the fastest time possible with ease of communication with the owner. Molly definitely gave me the impression her goal was to please.
Great place, great time, great memories. Thank you, thank you.
Great place to get away
This was an amazing home in the middle of the most beautiful woods. Molly was a wonderful host and left some great recommendations. It was so relaxing and we’re looking forward to coming back.
