North Georgia Mountains Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Creekside Cabin, 1 Master suite, Sleeps 2, Air-conditioning, Wood Stove

NOTE:If your dates are unavailable -check out my other cabin--

#3777553--same area-mountain views-on 6 private acres!

Wow! A very popular Honeymoon, Anniversary or couple retreat....You won't believe this fabulous, custom built, 'rustic elegance' Hot Tub, hiking cabin on a noisy creek! Privately nestled on its own 8 acres, minutes within National Forest and practically around the corner from the Appalachian Trailhead at Springer Mountain (exceptional hiking opportunities!). Three rivers close by for fishing/ tubing fun! Serenity on the Creek, has a luxurious Master Suite, 2.5 bath cabin with a stunning view of the creek (the property includes both sides of the creek!). The perfect romantic, honeymoon, anniversary get-a-way. A luxury-home-designer and a custom builder created this awesome place - you'll see their expertise reflected in every unique detail.

One of my guests describes my cabin better then I can: 'A unique architectural gem set in total privacy in a forest of rhododendrons and white pines overlooking a flowing creek is guaranteed to please your senses. The song of tumbling waters cascading down the creek is the background music while you enjoy the hot tub after hiking the private trails on 8 acres. The Master Suite is like a tree house with its own balcony, fireplace and bed alcove surrounded by windows to view the forest. The cabin is well stocked with everything you could need. Watch an old favorite movie, or read a good book and warm yourself by the wood burning stove. Or, sit by an outdoor fire pit next to the creek and share conversation and dreams with someone you love. Then grill your choice of steaks on the gas grill while you watch the wildlife in the forest across the creek. A short car ride can take you to several waterfall and hiking options in the nearby wilderness areas: or, to shopping and restaurants in Ellijay or Blue Ridge. And don't forget the numerous places to buy apples around Ellijay. The pictures of the cabin do not do full justice to how pretty and private it really is. The condition is like new and the owner is incredibly accommodating and considerate of your every need. I highly recommend 'Serenity on the Creek' to anyone looking for a special getaway in the Georgia mountains. '

Complete Privacy & Seclusion - no other cabins visible from property!

Upstairs Master has a Queen, en-suite Master Bath and private deck overlooking the stunning view to the creek and beyond.

Downstairs has a large TV den with mini-kitchen, stunning views, plus a Hot Tub.

NOTE:check out my other cabins --

#--4066778--same great location--great creek --on 3 private acres!

About Molly Ford

Having made Ellijay our home for over 25 years I cannot think of a better place to spend some time relaxing at than 'Serenity on the Creek'. This beautiful cabin was designed by myself and built by my husband. Having been in the architectural design business for over 10 years it was time for us to create our own get-a-way even if it is located in the same town we live in! This cabin was lovingly built from the foundation up with many unique features besides having all the comforts of home.

Molly Ford purchased this cabin in 2006

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Molly,

Few times in life so plans work out as great as one thinks...but this long weekend happens to be one of those times! This is a rare find; we don't want to tell too many people about it because it's so like an uncovered treasure in the cozy nest of the mountains. Wow! And.....we even got to see some SNOW!

Fun can be had in many ways including antiquing, hiking, and lots of our favorite....eating & drinking! THe movies are a nice touch but "Deliverance" should be reserved for the last evening of your stay...scary.

We devoted ourselves to experience all of the musical library and simple pleasures that the cabin holds. I've never cooked this much on vacation, but being here is quite relaxing. We're not saying "good-bye".....We will definitely be back to Serenity!

EVERYTHING it said it was!

  • 5 of 5

As we descended the stairs to the front door and main floor porch, I had tears in my eyes! Wow! This really is exactly what they said it would be! A breathtaking home away in the mountains. My husband and I spent a week celebrating our 25th anniversary. We began our days, slow and relaxed, sipping coffee and listening to the creek whisper by below. We enjoyed exploring most of our days, whether around the 8 acres near the cabin, or the lovely Mountains of Ellijay, near by Blue Ridge and Morganton. We shopped in both Ellijay and Blue Ridge. We fished in the Toccoa River and caught half a dozen beautiful brown trout, Molly even gave us a few spots to try off the beaten path. I had an exciting horseback trailride, with gorgeous overlooks! There are plenty of choices for dining out, however, there are also several orchards near by and we would stop and pickup fresh apples and vegetables on our way home at the end of the day. We enjoyed preparing meals in the well equipped kitchen. We would kick back fireside by the creek, or relax in the hot tub, before crashing in our lovely master bedroom, only to get up and start all over! What a WONDERFUL WEEK! Renewed, rejuvenated and refreshed! Ahhh :)

Private, restful, comfortable, and very cared for cabin.

  • 5 of 5

For our Honeymoon we decided to go to the mountains to experience privacy, the woods, rocks, the sounds of running water and elevations! We got just that it was wonderful! You can't see another house, you can play in the creek or take walks up into the Wilderness right from the cabin. Each of the three levels has a porch. Many amenities are available. The internet was great the cell service was to be expected a little choppy. We had a great time and would recommend this cabin to anyone who would love to get away from it all. Very clean with many nice wood and stone accents. The hot tub was perfect. The driveway is very steep but doable with some nerves and a low gear. Get your food provisions before you arrive. Wallmart Superstore or Ingells has plenty of choices. About 15+/- miles to the store. If you desire seclusion with comfort you'll love Molly's place.A+

We give it an A++.

This property is absolutely gorgeous. We would not want to stay anywhere else. It is a great place to hide away from the world. But if you do feel the need to explore you can open up the back door to miles of trails, wildlife, and adventures to be had. Molly is absolutely wonderful as well. She will respond to any questions you have within the day. And she is so helpful once you arrive as well. From giving advise on the best places to get phone service in the house, to explaing the basket full of brochures and where the best places are to visit in and around town. She is awesome! We will definitely be back.

Great "Retreat"!

  • 5 of 5

The house was in spotless condition when we arrived with instructions and things to do in the area laid out on the kitchen counter top. Sunset in the hot tub in the middle of the woods was a great escape from Atlanta! Drove about 20 minutes and walked the AT for a few miles, went fishing in a nearby river, and enjoyed the views. We look forward to staying again.

Beautiful, Secluded Cabin - A Perfect Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

Spending time at a cabin in the mountains is my idea of a perfect vacation, and this was one of the BEST cabins I've had the pleasure of renting. The owner, Molly, is wonderful. She is very polite, responds quickly, and was always available to answer any questions I had.

The cabin itself is beautiful - the floors are a gorgeous hardwood, the kitchen was well-stocked and adorable (I love the way the pans are hanging from the "branch"), and the master suite was comfortable and spacious. The cabin was also CLEAN. I'm a bit picky about things like that and even I thought it was spotless. The internet worked very well, something I've had trouble with at other cabins in this region. Here, I was able to stream anything I wanted to watch with no buffering or interruptions.

The property itself is as charming as the cabin. You have complete privacy and a creek running right by the cabin. Fortunately, the weather warmed up enough to spend time outdoors, and my husband and I spent most of our time either sitting on the bench right next to the creek, or just enjoying the sounds of it from the porches and hot tub. We spent every morning on the master deck, waking up to coffee and that soothing sound.

If you are looking for a romantic weekend or a honeymoon or just to get away for a few days - I highly recommend this cabin. There are suggestions in the cabin of things to do in the area, but we didn't need them - we never wanted to leave the property all weekend!

Mountain Seclusion at its best!!!

  • 4 of 5

My Wife and I originally had this cabin booked for our anniversary but had to reschedule. Molly was a dream to work with and she was very understanding. We ended up selecting the weekend after Valentine's Day and the cabin was perfect when we arrived. It was nicely decorated, clean and just felt like home. The orientation of the cabin to all the other surrounding cabins made it extremely private - in fact the whole weekend we were there I didn't so much as hear another car or see anyone! The kitchen was nicely equipped with pots, pans, plates, cups, bowls... you get the drift, all you need to bring is your meals... There is a hot tub for relaxing and even a small library if you forgot your book or need something to read. The only thing I would say is a negative is there was no television on the main level, the only television was up in the bedroom.

Owner's Response: Please note there are two Tv's one in master and one on lower level in the Den which has a full size sofa/sitting area. However--the TV was absence this weekend due to having to repair it.
