What a beautiful property
We had a wonderful time. What a beautiful waterfront view, especially during the sunset. Also, we felt in love with the calmness and peacefulness during our stay. Thank you Noel.
Noel's house and property on the Bay was beautiful and perfect for our family and Golden Retriever
The house and grounds are beautiful. Peaceful setting with access to the water - fishing/crabbing dock and great kayaking in the cove.
We enjoyed the house and back porch. Beautifully appointed - great kitchen/breakfast room.
We'll be back!
Beautiful stay on the water
We were looking for a place on the water to use my boat for the last weekend of the summer. This place was perfect.
To start with the check-in process couldn't have been easier. We were staying with two families, mine with two adults and two teen girls, and a friend and his wife with their younger boys. My girls stayed in the small apartment over the detached garage. They thought it was very cool to have their own space.
The house itself is set up very much like a Florida Rancher with a master suite on one end and a two bedroom family suite on the other. Lot's of open living space in the middle opening up to a beautiful deck.
The dock is excellent for fishing from (caught small sharks and lost what I think was a big Ray). Also the crabbing off the dock is good. We had over a dozen blue crabs we boiled up on Sunday. It is also well set up for docking one or two boats. My 21 foot center console fit perfectly.
There were 3 kayaks and we did a trip up to where the river narrowed. A great way to start the morning.
The real jewel for boaters however is the beach at New Point Comfort Nature Preserve. It's a beautiful beach and is about a 30 minute boat ride at 25 knots. Also there are some man-made fishing reefs in and just outside of Mobjack bay.
Mobjack Bay Marina has a launch that costs $7 and provides fuel for the boat.
Aside from the kayaks that are available, there's also a nice little swimming area and the bottom is relatively smooth.
The house was well appointed with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. The coffee maker is a traditional style (not Keurig). There is a grill outside and a Gazebo on the deck.
Definitely recommended for boaters or kayakers.
The entire family love staying here
This was a great vacation spot for our family. We brought our boat an inner tube up and down the river with the kids. Very little traffic on the river. The Sunset View From the gazebo with a great spot to hang out and he grabs. The owner supplied the crab pots and the crab bait. We caught about three dozen crabs. I was a very nice touch. My only issue was no water on the dock. It was a cleaning station but no water. It would have been nice to have been abled to watch the salt water off my boat. Additionally, there was no power at the. We had so much fun and enjoy the place so much I still gave the owner of 5-star.
relaxing time in the middle peninsula
Our multi-generational family had a relaxing time staying here! It is a lovely place that is well maintained. The kitchen is stocked with whatever you might need for cooking. There is plenty of room--a master suite, a connecting sun room that doubles as a twin bedroom, and two more bedrooms one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds and both a full bath and half bath nearby. The fifth bedroom is a separate suite above the garage with twin beds and its own bath. Our family spread out into all of it and it is so well appointed and comfortable. On top of this, Maggie who is in charge of housekeeping was so kind and helpful and does a great job with it all. This home is on the river near where it connects with Chesapeake Bay. We used the dock for swimming and the kayaks for exploring. It is a quiet, peaceful place with lots of birds. We saw egrets, blue herons, green herons, bald eagles, hawks, swallows, wrens and various gulls among others. This is a place that you can enjoy without leaving, however Williamsburg and all that it offers is about 45 minutes away. We appreciated being able to stay here in such a lovely location, thank you!!!
We didn't want to leave. My family had such a good time we were wishing we could have stayed for another week. There was so much to do and we didn't even get to do half of what we planned. The house had everything we needed and Maggie made sure it was all perfect for us. She really went out of her way by showing us around, teaching us how to crab and fish, bringing us shampoo and conditioner for our dog, making sure we had citronella candles, fresh squash and tomatoes and games for our kids. Thank you so much! We would be back every weekend if it wasn't such a long drive for us.
Thanks for the gracious comments and we look forward to your future visit!
