Indian Lake Cabin Rental Photos and Description

- 3 BR, 2 BA, Sleeps 8.

Enjoy Adirondack elegance and comfort in this three bedroom, two bathroom home, designed and detailed to feature the look of Adirondack Great Camps with wood floors, wainscoting and rustic accents. Located on 27 very private acres bordering the Siamese Ponds Wilderness Area. Close to Hudson River and many Adirondack Lakes! Hike, snowshoe and explore with access to Beaver Meadow Creek and the Siamese Ponds Wilderness area! Sunny deck with Adirondack lean-to and fire pit. Large screened in porch. Located on a quiet side street 6 miles east of the village of Indian Lake, the privacy and seclusion is priceless, and yet all outdoor activities are nearby! Gore Mountain Ski Area (20 mins), Lake Abanakee (5 minutes), Indian Lake (10 mins) and Blue Mtn Lake (15 mins) are all close by and provide wonderful swimming, boating, kayaking, and fishing.

Two important things to know: 1) This is a rural area, so there is no rubbish removal service. Guests are responsible for sorting their recyclables and bringing all rubbish to the transfer station at the end of their stay. We do this every time and it's actually the most beautiful transfer station you ever saw! There is a little shed "Our Mart", where people drop stuff off and everything is "free". My kids love to shop there, ha ha! And any time I have something that I no longer need, but might be useful to someone else, I drop it there and know someone will use it well. 2) Guests bring their own sheets in and out, and we will supply all other linens. Please email with any questions or for additional information: Thank you!

About Lisa & Richard Yeager

We closed on this house the night before Christmas Eve, 2003. Our girls were 3 and 9. Over the years, we have built great memories in this beautiful Adirondack playground. Our children love the peace and quiet, and the beauty and adventure of the outdoors here. Campfire stories, snowball fights, epic hikes, amazing views, jumping off rock island into Blue Mtn. Lake on a hot summer day, the unexpected glimpse of wildlife in their natural habitat, badminton on the lawn, Adirondack naps, downhill skis, delicious dinners, good books and more family memories built here. We welcome you to build some of your own! Best, Lisa

Why Lisa & Richard Yeager chose Adirondacks

Privacy, peace and quiet! Indian Lake is close to great hiking, as well as cross country and downhill skiing. The smell of the Pines in the Adirondacks is intoxicating. You are in the woods, but just a short drive away from the beautiful town of North Creek. We love to go to Bar Vino for dinner! And Stewarts ice cream for dessert!

What makes this cabin unique

Screened in porch, lean-to with fire pit and very cozy beds.

Lovely secluded cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay. The location of the cabin was very convenient to 3 fire tower peaks we planned to hike in the area. The two fans were a lucky find as the weather was quite warm. We had two couples, if the third couple had joined us they would have been warm in the basement and the tv room would have been crowded. The dining area and living room were a nice size.

Great Adirondack get away!

  • 5 of 5

This mini great camp is incredibly comfortable and well-appointed. Lisa was quick to get back to me and it is described exactly as it is on vrbo. We had a great time exploring, hiking and shopping in the ADK's with a safe and comfortable place to return to at night.

Beautiful and well equipped and great location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time while staying at this house.

The lodge cabin had everything we needed. We made fire every night and grilled on a brand new bbq (bring your own gas or refill one of their bottles). We made eggs and pancakes and coffee every morning before heading for trails. It was nice that all fit at the same time to eat or play board games at the large table. The house is in close driving distance to a little minimarket, gas station and a few eating spots but yet still secluded in the woods with no sounds except of the birds and the wind on the trees. My son loved seeing a hare hop around the front of the house and saying good morning to the "baby " robins that waited to be fed in their nest on the front porch. He called the house "the sticks house" being made all of beautiful logs of wood and decorated accordingly with so many details.

There are LOTS of trails and lakes within minutes. On our 4 day stay we did a 6 mile hike to see a small waterfall, walked about 1/2 mile to Rock lake (where my 3 year old caught his first fish) and also spent a day at Lake Durant where they have a beach, tables, showers... ($8 per car). We also took a quick trip to the garbage/recycling station which my son loved.

The flies and mosquitos can be a bit of an annoyance while outside If you go in the warm months you must bring insect repellent for outdoors but surprisingly we didn't find any bugs inside the house.

I would definitely stay here again both the house and the location where great. Thanks.

The house was so clean and comfortable, especially the 2 king size beds, what a treat! We especially loved the screened porch and spent a lot of our time out there enjoying cocktails and snacks.

Lisa was a pleasure to work with, so very accommodating. I would recommend this vacation house over and over!! We will be sure to book this again in the near future!

Thank you Lisa!!!

A gem in the Adirondack

  • 5 of 5

Just back after a wonderful weekend at this cottage. I got a positive feeling right from the beginning when the owner very rapidly answered my request and was always right there when I had more questions later on.

The cottage is very cosy and inviting. Everything is just perfect with comfy beds and a kitchen filled with all you need for the stay. It would be even more perfect if the sauna would work (or maybe it does and I just missed some information :-)

There is a fire pit, outdoor grill, sun room, plenty of outdoor space to relax with a book or for play soccer and the are is filled with hiking trails.

It simply can't go wrong renting this cottage - if you like being in the nature and the rustic style. We loved it.

Absolutely Amazing

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a Easter weekend get away the end of March. The cabin was exactly what we were expecting and more from the pictures and description. The cabin was stocked with everything you need. All we really needed to bring was our food, clothes and hygene products. It was VERY clean and very well maintained. The decor and atmosphere was perfect. We wanted a true cabin in the woods away from anyone feeling and we got it. The beds were amazingly comfy and you could see the tress out each window laying down. The kids had a great time making smores in the fire pit and playing in the yard. We had an outside Easter egg hunt that Sunday and the yard was perfect for hiding eggs with all the beautiful landscaping and rocks. Lisa was amazing to corespond with and very prompt and informative with all my questions. We will definitely be rebooking with Lisa again in the future. Our children had a great time and can't wait to go back.
