Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

- 3 BR, 2 BA, Sleeps 8.

Enjoy Adirondack elegance and comfort in this three bedroom, two bathroom home, designed and detailed to feature the look of Adirondack Great Camps with wood floors, wainscoting and rustic accents. Located on 27 very private acres bordering the Siamese Ponds Wilderness Area. Close to Hudson River and many Adirondack Lakes! Hike, snowshoe and explore with access to Beaver Meadow Creek and the Siamese Ponds Wilderness area! Sunny deck with Adirondack lean-to and fire pit. Large screened in porch. Located on a quiet side street 6 miles east of the village of Indian Lake, the privacy and seclusion is priceless, and yet all outdoor activities are nearby! Gore Mountain Ski Area (20 mins), Lake Abanakee (5 minutes), Indian Lake (10 mins) and Blue Mtn Lake (15 mins) are all close by and provide wonderful swimming, boating, kayaking, and fishing.

Two important things to know: 1) This is a rural area, so there is no rubbish removal service. Guests are responsible for sorting their recyclables and bringing all rubbish to the transfer station at the end of their stay. We do this every time and it's actually the most beautiful transfer station you ever saw! There is a little shed "Our Mart", where people drop stuff off and everything is "free". My kids love to shop there, ha ha! And any time I have something that I no longer need, but might be useful to someone else, I drop it there and know someone will use it well. 2) Guests bring their own sheets in and out, and we will supply all other linens. Please email with any questions or for additional information: Thank you!

About Lisa & Richard Yeager

We closed on this house the night before Christmas Eve, 2003. Our girls were 3 and 9. Over the years, we have built great memories in this beautiful Adirondack playground. Our children love the peace and quiet, and the beauty and adventure of the outdoors here. Campfire stories, snowball fights, epic hikes, amazing views, jumping off rock island into Blue Mtn. Lake on a hot summer day, the unexpected glimpse of wildlife in their natural habitat, badminton on the lawn, Adirondack naps, downhill skis, delicious dinners, good books and more family memories built here. We welcome you to build some of your own! Best, Lisa

Why Lisa & Richard Yeager chose Adirondacks

Privacy, peace and quiet! Indian Lake is close to great hiking, as well as cross country and downhill skiing. The smell of the Pines in the Adirondacks is intoxicating. You are in the woods, but just a short drive away from the beautiful town of North Creek. We love to go to Bar Vino for dinner! And Stewarts ice cream for dessert!

Great location to enjoy the Indian Lake area!

  • 4 of 5

This was a nice Adirondack camp in a location with easy outdoor access - lots of hiking, lakes for swimming and boating and great rafting on the Hudson River (we recommend Adirondack River Outfitters - they were excellent!). We were 2 couples and the 2 upstairs rooms with King Beds were nice to have. Beds were definitely comfy! Screened in porch let us enjoy the outside more and was fun to hang out to talk and play cards after dinner. Kitchen was functional - would recommend bringing your own 10" skillet and 6Qt saucepan. Rest of utensils and pots/pans were ok. If you have AT&T service it will be sketchy - only a few odd places in the house got 1 bar - ok for email and easy web searching but not for any phone calls!

Pretty location, lots of nice Adirondack touches in a warm friendly home.

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our brief stay. The home is charming and works well for 2 couples. The kitchen had basic cookware but could have used a few more functional frypans. The kitchen doesn't really accommodate more than one cook. There was not an ice maker as was listed in amenities. Also, there was no firewood provided and there was a large, beautiful fire pit. The property has a for sale sign and information by the drive but this did not disrupt our stay in any way. In all, it was a pleasant experience. The owner, Lisa was great to deal with.

Property and grounds were amazing!

I stayed here with my wife and 3 boys. we spent time exploring the property as well as boating and hiking the surrounding area. We couldn't have asked for a more secluded area to vacation. Thanks Lisa!

Lovely Stay in the Woods

  • 4 of 5

First of all, the hosts were responsive and reasonable in setting up the stay and accommodating our requests and answering our questions. The directions to the property were helpful and the house was clean and organized when we arrived. The home had a great ADK cabin feel with ample woodwork and decor.

Our stay was lovely and the screened in porch was a HUGE bonus (because the bugs sure were biting). We were conveniently located to the small town of Indian Lake and the slightly larger town of North Creek.

The kitchen had very basic equipment and there were a smattering of leftover condiments from previous guests. The beds were comfortable and we were able to locate screens for the windows in the closets.

While we had plenty of space we were glad to have only two couples staying. The third, basement bedroom, while clean and nicely furnished, did feel a little "basementy." The room may be better suited for kids.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend this rental.

Amazing Cabin with an amazing atmosphere!!

  • 4 of 5

This place was amazing, me and my family enjoyed our time here. It was very secluded so we didn't have to worry about bothering people. It was very close to Gore Mountain, about a 15-20 min drive. It had a very at home feel to it with the cabin look. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. We loved the place so much that we will definitely book this place again in the future.
