PREVIOUS GUEST COMMENTS (Missouri Valley Iowa): We had a wonderful vacation here. We went fishing using the poles and tackle you provided and all of our kids caught fish. We got to see Bear, Elk, & Dear while here. The home is awesome and just seems to have everything with the hot tub being so nice to come home to each evening. Mark & Brenda gave us such a warm welcome and took care of everything with professionalism and care. We will be back.

PREVIOUS GUEST COMMENTS (Springdale Arkansas): This place is great. Having arrived late, we got up to 24 inches of fresh snow and our daughter said she felt like she was in Narnia. We had no idea of the fabulous view of the Rocky Mountains until the snow stopped and clouds lifted. It was breathtaking. We so appreciated Mark & Brenda, the amenities and games. The guest book was great reading finding so many people making so many special memories here. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and care in providing this place for us.

PREVIOUS GUEST COMMENTS (Walnut Creek California): Everything about our stay here was perfect. We came to see the fall colors. It was wonderful to enjoy the vibrant colors of the turning aspens. Our drive up to Pikes Peak was breath taking. We would encourage anyone to plan a trip to stay in the Deer Trail cabin. It has so many accessories and is so very, very, charming & friendly

Love this place

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here last year for a weekend getaway and I never wanted to leave. We are planning on coming back this fall. The master suite is to die for. The back deck and hot tub were wonderful for relaxing outside. We did have deer come right up to the fence line along with other critters. Mark and Brenda keep wonderful rentals that are second to none. We stayed at one of thier cabins in Green Mountain Falls for our wedding and their rentals have all you could need and then some. Properties are spotless, beds comfotable and I would strongly recommend any of thier rentals to friends. Thanks for the great memories Mark and Brenda

Owner's Response: Wanted to thank you for the property review you wrote. We work very hard to offer the best place possible and it is a blessing to get feed back like yours. A comment we receive is that we have raised the bar for vacation rentals and that our rentals could not offer more and that they are warm and very inviting. Thanks again: Mark & Brenda Heaven View Ranch Inc.

Peaceful, spacious, clean, and well equipped home with relaxing suroundings.

  • 4 of 5

A getaway that fulfilled our needs and wants. Able to see three sunsets and three sunrises in the hot tub with daily visits from the local mule deer population. Any amenities that we needed to supply were just a short drive (food, attractions, shopping ...). Most of all it pleased my wife as an anniversary celebration :). Definitely a no brainer decision when compared to dealing with hotel patrons and confining rooms. I hope this property is available again for our next escape to tranquility. Thank You from Wichita, KS

Cozy cottage in the mountains

We had an excellent stay at this Deer Trail cottage. The home was lovely and the hot tub was a wonderful amenity. The owners are extremely responsive to questions and that made our stay all the much better. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your home!

Cute little house!

  • 4 of 5

Overall, my husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. We were able to bring our golden retriever, Tucker, as well and I'm not sure who had the better vacation - us or the dog! The pictures are a little deceiving because it looks like the house is out in the woods when in reality it's in a wooded community with houses all around it. So don't be surprised when you get to your somewhat "remote" cabin and it's not "remote" in the least. We did have deer that came around every day despite all the homes. I guess they're just used to all the people and pay them no mind. The house was more than the two of us needed as far as space goes (other than only having one bathroom). The kitchen is fairly well stocked.. It could use a cookie sheet and some new knives, as theirs are getting old and worn out, but if you're not going to be cooking that's nothing to worry about. I guess my biggest disappointments were no fireplace nor outside fire pit and it being in a neighborhood. We didn't even use the hot tub so I have no idea what kind of shape it's in. The Colorado Springs/Manitou Springs/Woodland Park area is gorgeous in October. It's a great place to visit. We will definitely be going back, but this time without the dog so we can do more "People" activities.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review as it helps those considering us and also allows us to be about keeping this home a place that you and others would want to spend vacations. That said, I am sorry you felt surprised about the lack of the home being as "remote" a location as you felt was represented in the add. It has always been our goal when posting the description of the home and pictures, to accurately represent the home and it's location. We even note in the description that this is a "residential mountain community". Know that we take your input seriously and will post some shots from the home view as you suggested are needed. Additionally we are currently in process of working with the home owner to give the home a fresh feel and replacing items in the home that are in need of doing so .

Private and Comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Great spot to get away. Saw some deer, and the aspen still had some color left. We brought DVDs, but there was no DVD player.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review as it greatly helps all our guests to feel more comfortable picking places sight unseen over the internet. Sorry you did not find the DVD player and I guess that is my fault. The DVD player is an integrated part of the TV. That said I will make sure the notes in the home can answer this question for future guests and know that for any question a guests has during their stay they have immediate access to us to answer questions like these. Again, thanks for having chosen us as we know you have many locations to pick from and we strive to make your stay with us one that you would want to recommend to others and desire to return at some point in time.

Great

  • 5 of 5

Pictures are accurate, which is rare. It feels remote without being too far away from creature comforts. We had good weather, so we didn't need to check out the cable, but the internet worked perfectly. We cooked, barbecued, and were in the hot tub every night. Even though we only spent a couple of nights, it felt like home. Would definitely and highly recommend. Oh, and deposit was returned promptly - thank you.
