It was OK, but probably wouldn’t rent it again.
We had three families with four 3-year olds spending the weekend for the Polar Express. We liked the basic set-up of the house, and the parents were excited to have some drinks and fun in the hot tub after the girlies went to sleep...except we got an email a few days before saying it was broken, and it looked like it had been broken for quite a while. When we arrived, there was no water pressure, and we had to call to get the caretaker to come and turn on the pump. (Which he did fairly quickly and was awfully nice—even giving us a roll of toilet paper since the cabin was not stocked with any; another frustration.) We liked the communal spaces for the most part, and we liked that most things in the kitchen were stocked, but the oven was ridiculous: we had to crank it up to over 500 and turn on the Speed Bake just to get some pre-cooked lasagnas to warm up, and then we STILL had to microwave it! The next day, the oven quit baking completely, and one of the eyes on the stove quit working—very frustrating for 10 hungry people! While we know that a cabin in the woods is not a luxury rental, the ladybug infestation was a little much, as were the FOUR wasps we found (and had to kill). The layout of the house, the rooms, the bathrooms, the porches, swings, etc. were all very nice, and we had a great time together, but the overall stay was a death by a thousand papercuts.
The cabin was clean. We saw the Eclipse from the cabin and it was beautiful. Plenty of space. Close to the lake . Saw no bears but did see fresh prints.
Great guest ,Please come back to visit Absolut Heaven Retreat
Everything was perfect however, sink was clogged even before we started using it and there were not enough supplies. Overall, it is a great experience.
Unfortunately the garbage disposal was jammed therefore making it seem as if the sink was clogged. The sink has 2 bowls so if one side was not working to capacity the other side is always available. That disposal was recently replace with a new one. The renter is responsible for all of the supplies. Occasionally there will be remaining supplies from a previous renter but that will always be limited.
Great weekend in a relaxing cabin with fantastic views.
We really enjoyed the multi-floored cabin with three levels of decks for fantastic views. Beautiful place that our family enjoyed this Father's Day weekend. Close to the NOC outpost where we spent the day on Saturday doing zip lines, rafting, and hiking.
Thanks for allowing us to stay in this wonderful cabin.

Thank you for your visit, there is so much to do in beautiful Western North Carolina,
Great Smokey Mountain Rail Road, The Road to Nowhere, Cherokee casino's the list goes on...
We were a family of 10 along with 4 babies in pac n plays and still had plenty of room. The cabin is fully stocked with whatever you may need, just bring your clothes and paper products. The views from the hot tub are spectacular. If you are planning to ride the train it is within 15 minutes of the cabin there is also a grocery store located 6 miles. We had a great time and would highly recommend this property to anyone with a big family.
This cabin is lovely!
We loved this cabin. The kitchen is fully stocked for any cooking - for any amount of people. Plenty of cookware and serve ware. Bedrooms are spacious, bathrooms are nice, plenty of towels. The decks are wonderful, the views amazing. The road up to the cabin turns into one lane, so that made for interesting arrivals & departures a couple of times. We did not miss internet, but we did appreciate the decent cell signal.
Michael called soon after our arrival with great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Overall, we had a super experience with this rental and would definitely recommend!
