About Vincent Bourret
I am the proud father of a family of five (my wife and three children). I grew up in the south of France (Avignon, heart of Provence) and met 25 years ago my wife who is a truly Parisian who doesn't want to move! My wife is a vascular physician and I was an artist photographer.
Why Vincent Bourret chose Fontenay-sous-Bois
We decided to leave the center of Paris (Luxembourg gardens) because despite of the wonderful neighborhood it was noisy, dirty and polluted. We decided that we will raise our children in what we consider the most beautiful suburb (much more than the overrated Neuilly sur Seine and Saint-cloud). Sticked to the Vincennes woods which belongs to Paris 12 we discovered that it was easier and faster to go everywhere in Paris than when we lived near Luxembourg gardens in Paris 6. We first rented this house to the CEO of BNP Cardif and had the luck to buy it a few years later.
What makes this House unique
We all love the opportunity to have the Vincennes woods and Paris so close. My three children are all studying in Paris because it is so convenient. Vincennes is a wonderful small Royal city (four Kings of France lived there). We are surrounded by interesting places, The botanical garden of Paris, the very modern (and not sad) Zoological garden of Paris and numerous very reputed gourmet shops that I will be very happy to share with you. the Subway line 1 close to our house is the main subway with all the greatest monuments of Paris. When we discussed the possibility of moving back to Paris to make their studies easier they made a revolution. Nobody wants to move from there!

Charming bucolic setting immediately adjacent to Paris
We loved staying at little free=standing house in Fontenay sous Bois. It was almost like staying in a French village, yet walking distance to the Metro and the Bois de Vincennes. The owners, Vincent and Marie-Noel, are delightful, warm people, and they and their children were so helpful and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place and hope that we will have an opportunity to go back there again.
Great Location. Beautiful home. Even better host!
Vincent was an amazing host. He always answered my questions promptly and never made me feel like I was bothering him. He wanted to make sure that my family had the best trip possible. The location was great. You are a short walk to the subway line 1 which was the best one to get to all the main attractions. The house was wonderful and stocked with everything you would need. We had 7 adults and 2 kids in our group and we had plenty of room. All of the beds were comfortable and we had room for all of our stuff. The kitchen was great. We eat breakfast at home most days and even cooked a few dinners. There was room for all 9 of us to sit around the table to eat meals and play card games at night.
If we come back to Paris we would definitely stay here again! I can’t say enough good things about this modern home and Vincent at the host!
Perfect location, easy city access without having drive downtown
Vincent was an impeccable host! He helped our family get settled and personally walked us the short distance to the metro so we could get the best tickets for our trip. The house was cozy and very clean with all the comforts of home. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit Paris without wanting to fight the drive all the way into town.
Charming house, excellent location, incredible host!
We couldn’t be more pleased with our stay at Vincent’s house. The house itself was immaculate and very tastefully decorated, with plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children. Its location in the quiet area of Vincennes was the perfect base for our days in Paris- only a few minutes’ walk to the M1, the RER and plenty of great local restaurants and shopping. Vincent was fully prepared to welcome my family. He made special arrangements and purchased new equipment to accommodate our two babies, met us at the train station to help carry luggage and called us a taxi on the last day. He was available for requests, questions and translation whenever we needed him. I’ve stayed in Paris many times in the past, but this was my favorite trip by far, because if the warm and friendly home we enjoyed during our stay. Five stars, highly recommended!!
We had an amazing time. We stayed end of August, 4 adults and 4 teenagers, we just loved it! The house is spacious, practical. The area is great, quite and peaceful. The metro is 10 minutes away.
The host Vincent is welcoming, friendly, kind and always available if you need a hand or anything, I trully recommand this charming house, you won’t regret! Angelique
The Petite House was perfect for our family of 7. Vincent was so welcoming and showed us around his town, interpreted for us, and gave us wonderful ideas of places to go visit in Paris. Our stay in Paris would not have been easy nor as awesome without Vincent and his family.
There is plenty of space in the house for the whole family and each of them loved it. We had an age range from 13 years old to 60 years old. The house is a close 5-minute walk to the Metro Line 1, taxi services, and bus services to get all over Paris. Metro Line 1 has a straight line to Effiel Tower, The Arc, museum, shopping mall, and La Defense!
I wholeheartedly recommend this charming place. It is a nice and quiet neighborhood, has wonderful chocolate, close to Chateau Vincennes, and Paris Zoo. Vincent and his family is kind, trustworthy, and provided wonderful service.
