I an a retired journalist and mother of 3 grownup children
A.C.M. Buijsman purchased this house in 1998
Thirty years ago I fell in love with this village and the sixteenth century home where I now live. The studio was built in 1998 to give us more room for the family. Now that the children are gone I enjoy welcoming my friends there as eel as travelers from all over the world.
The atmosphere in the guesthouse is truly remarkable. After a few days I see my guests looking more and more relaxed. Perhaps the guesthouse atmosphere plays a roll in this…or the beauty of the natural scenery? Or maybe it's the always surprising North Sea? The pull of the art found in the museums in the little towns surrounding Twisk and Amsterdam? Perhaps…. Some guests have told me they were very happy with the outlet center, Batavia City, on the other side of the dike that goes from Enkhuizen to Lelystad.
This place Is better than advertised. The location cannot be beat, and you'll have everything one could want for that home away from home feel. Anna is a gracious host, and is always willing to help in any way she can. Don't hesitate! If you're looking for an authentic Holland experience for a more than reasonable price...you've found the right place.
The property is located in a beautiful Dutch village close to a little bit of everything. A short drive to many major attractions, and if you want some peace and quiet... you have this too. I cant say enough abouth the hospitality of Anna. She made the stay very seamless and relaxing. I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay here.
Spacious, clean, light and airy, stylish accommodation. Very private and peaceful. Lovely garden areas to sit and relax. Great places to visit in the area. Friendly and helpful owner. A really delightful place to stay. Highly recommended.
The property is well kept and was very clean. Green plants give the property a nice home feeling
A perfect place to work quietly or relax for some days.
at night you will sleep like a baby, there's absolutely no sound from the outside
Anna, the owner, has a great eye for detail, which is reflected in the interior and the linnen that comes in a really nice package.
The loft ist located perfectly at the countryside and still not far away from the next city and Amsterdam. It is cozy and furnished with a personal touch of the very hospitable owner. We had a wonderful time here and will come back next year.
