Sue writes: Sam and I had a fabulous time at the ranch and we love your whole family. They were so nice, sweet and hospitable to us. Visited Oahu, Kauai - the Big Island was the best part of our stay - very memorable. Hopefully, some day we can go back and vist our new family/friends.
Ben and Vicky are wonderful hosts. This is a wonderful house and beautiful property. They are extremely helpful and friendly. This is only a 10-15 minute drive from town. I highly recommend staying here!
My husband and I spent 4 days here with our 2 teenage daughters while on springbreak. We had one of the studios with 3 beds and it worked out great... plenty of room. The experience couldn't be more different from the conventional hotel. Its a large property surrounded by field and farmland. Early mornings were spent drinking coffee on the porch listening to birds while overlooking the ocean. We made hot breakfast everymorning and ate on the porch before heading out for the day. The kitchenette is adequate for basic food prep. Our hosts, Vicki and Ben are a very warm and personable couple who shared knowledge, stories and fruit. There was a goodie basket in our room on arrival and fresh flowers in a vase on the kitchen table. The room and property is very clean and well kept and we were able to take walks along the private road...Great view of Muana Kea covered in snow! The house is well located on the east side of the island to use for a jumping off point to visit Hilo and below (Volcano NP, etc) and also Honokaa & Waipio Valley. We stayed at three locations during our visit to the big island and this was our favorite by far. Definitely we will return! Thank you Vicki and Ben :-)
Myself and my husband visited this place in Dec 2014 and we liked it a lot.Ben and Vicky(Owners of the property) were very kind and generous people. They helped us in picking our rental car from Kona airport as we couldn't get one in Hilo. The.The place is very neat and well maintained. Great value for money. I thank them for their hospitality and Kindness. I look forward to stay in this property in my next visit too. Last but not the least the place is apt to its name ALMOST PARADISE !!!!
We wish Ben and Vicky All the Very best !!!
I have to thank Ben and Vicky for their utmost hospitality. Our family of four stayed with them for two weeks and left feeling like family. They asked thoughtful questions about our family and provided beds for everyone thinking of each person. The room was clean with nice sized bathroom and kitchen/dining area. Beautiful views from the deck towards the ocean and on the other side of the room was a beautiful view up the mountain. We were treated to tropical smoothies and information about the area. I highly recommend staying here. We were watching our budget and we were delighted to have found such a quality rental. Mahalo Ben and Vicky!
We stayed here in January for a couple nights and it left such a lasting impression. It was an unbelievable location and the hospitality from Ben, Vicky and BJ made for a great overall experience. We came in at night and Ben met us at the airport to be sure we could find our way. We arrived to a basket of fruit Vicky picked from the property. It was such a relaxing time and it was a perfect fit for me and my husband and our 3 year old daughter. We think about this family and their beautiful land often!
I don't want to share how wonderful it is here but everyone deserves a retreat to this special place. So quiet and peaceful and hosts Vicky, Ben and BJ so welcoming and accommodating, straightaway you feel like ohana. Close enough to town to be able to drive the coast road and yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle that accompanies town life. Tonight will be the last of my three day stay, i don't want to leave, but I will be back. Special aloha spirit alert!
