About Barbara Plummer
My husband and I moved to Mid-coast Maine from the Washington My husband and I moved to Maine from Northern Virgina when he retired from the military. I was born in DC and lived in the DC area all my life never feeling like I was in the right place. All of that changed when we left the rat race and moved to the small community of Bayside. In the village of Bayside the little cottages have names so we started thinking of names for our property and little cottage. Shortly after moving in I was standing at the window marveling at the view and a Bald Eagle landed in a tree in our front yard which overlooks Penobscot Bay. So the name Eagle's Landing became official. And since the cottage overlooks Kelly Cove we named it Cove Cottage. In 20 years this wonderful place I call home has never failed to disappoint.
Barbara Plummer purchased this Cottage in 1994
Why Barbara Plummer chose Northport
My husband and I fell in love with this beautiful, unique, waterfront property when we first saw it because of the incredible view and access to Penobscot Bay. The house and cottage needed some TLC which we have done over the years but the location needed no improvement.
What makes this Cottage unique
What I love most is the beautiful, peaceful setting. Feels very private but also not isolated. From sunrise to sunset it always offers opportunities to reflect on the wonders of creation and energize your soul .

Our first trip to Maine and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place! The location is just right for relaxing and exploring mid-coast Maine. Barbara has done a beautiful job decorating and supplying it with everything you need. Great bed, great linens and great pillows! Everything about this cottage is comfortable and charming. Great views of Penobscot Bay but bring your sleep mask if you're not an early riser. We hope to return to Maine and would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful Little Cottage
Very enjoyable. Great setting. Close to activities. Really only for two people. Three would be too many.
perfect little get away
Had a relaxing, comfortable, recharging week. The cottage is spotless and well appointed. I would definitely recommend to others and would come back again.
Very cozy cottage with fantastic views in a terrific setting - perfect!

From Shelby,NC to Maine
We had such a lovely time staying at this perfect cottage. Now I only hope that we can find our way on a return trip.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Maine cabin.
Delightful and comfortable coastal cabin with stunning views. Convenient location for mid coast exploring. Wonderful host. A great place to get away and enjoy Maine's offerings.
The nearby town of Belfast is a historic place with a lively downtown and many homes of architectural interest. John Villani rated Belfast as the 10th best small art town in his book entitled The 100 Best Small Art Towns(John Muir Publications). There is a large supermarket and farmers market on Fridays. There are good fish markets with lots of lobster, a bakery, several exceptionally good coffee shops offering fine baked goods and sandwiches, and a terrific health food store and co-op. There are several excellent restaurants, an ice cream shop, a wine shop and a candy shop! Also a local movie theater with vintage charm and current movies.
Other shops include women’s clothing, the Green Store selling health and environmental products, a very good kitchen shop and several well-equipped hardware stores. There are three bookstores, one offering a good collection of used books.
Numerous auctions and antique shops in the area.
