Why The Owner chose Miami Beach

I love the idea that a guest has access to all of the hotel services that the Alexander has to offer. The vacation rental provides it all! Much easier than being in a regular apartment building with no services.

What makes this condo unique

It is a beautiful retreat. Its great to sit outside on the terrace with a cup of coffe and gaze at the sea, or read. I love to step outside and be hit by the ocean breeze and the gorgeous tropical flowers which are everywhere!

Perfect location; certain things need fixing

Pros: Excellent location right on the beach on Collins at 52nd, and not far from grocery stores, restaurants, and South Beach. Inside a hotel, so even though we were renting a condo, it felt like a hotel experience upon entering the establishment. Although one pool was closed during renovations, the main pool was open, which was pretty and clean. The hot tubs and free towel service were added bonuses. Beds were comfortable. Brenda, the real estate agent, was always responsive and generally helpful throughout. Deposit was returned relatively quickly.

Cons: In the ensuite washroom, the sink didn't drain properly, the toilet ran continuously unless it was flushed 3 times, the shower was practically impossible to turn on and when it was turned on, water puddled on the floor because the glass encasement doesn't go all the way to the bottom. Several light fixtures didn't have working light bulbs. The remote control in the living area wasn't connected to the tv, so we'd have to get up to change the channels. The remote control in the master bedroom did work, but you had to stand right by the TV to get it to change channels. The broom didn't actually sweep up anything. These are all little things that could have been taken care of easily, and hopefully have been, as it would have made the experience much more pleasurable. Last thing was that we found a couple of cockroaches on the second and last day of our stay in the kitchen. I told both the owner and hotel about it. The hotel said that it was a hotel-wide problem. I hope they are taking care of it.

Owner's Response: All above listed issues now resolved and fixed! Glad you liked the location and wish you would have reported your issues to me as soon as you encountered them because I would have explained to you that: all of the lights work fine, the dining room light switch is located near the kitchen door and it is a dimmer style. Remotes work fine and if you have an issue, a quick call to cable company and they talk you right through the problem until it is resolved. I would have replaced the broom had I know it was not functional. We would have called maintenance to address shower/toilet issues Since the construction project we have experienced a few roaches which when we notice them, the fumigator is called and they are eradicated. Again, communication is key in order to resolve issues.

Lovely accomodations, renters were very responsive, resort was beautiful with friendly staff, beach was outstanding. Deposit was returned fairly quick. I highly recommend.
