About the property

Waikoloa Beach Resort, Ground Floor Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8),

The condo is decorated in quality island style furniture. The master bedroom has a king size bed, 42' plasma TV, walk in closet, and separate tub and showers. The first guest room has a queen size bed, and a 32' LCD TV with DVD palyer. The second guest bedroom offers two twin beds, and a 32' LCD TV with DVD player. There is seating for 8 at the table. There is a queen size sofa-bed in the living room. The lanai has seating for 4 with a large Weber propane BBQ. Great ocean views from the master bedroom, living room, dining area and kitchen.

The ground floor also offers the great grass area behind the unit. We have a tailgate toss bean bag game available for our guests. The living room has a 3 cushion sofa with hide-a-bed, and two large wicker chairs, a 55" LCD TV, a blu-ray player and a bluetooth speaker. The dining room has a glass dining table with seating for eight. We have three young children ourselves so the unit comes with a highchair, port-a-crib, and toys (please be sure the kids leave them behind). The oceanside pool area offers a great workout area, plenty of seating, a private restaurant/bar and a BBQ pit. For those of you who prefer the beach we have provided beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and a couple umbrellas. Your stay here will be a memorable one. We hope you will return year after year.

There is a $10/day resort fee per condo which is paid directly to the resort at check in.

We are a young family who likes to travel. We have 3 young daughters and 2 female dogs (daddy is out numbered). We live in Northern California. Our goal is to provide our guests with the same vacation experience that we expect and enjoy.

Why Doug Erickson chose Waikoloa Village

We have enjoyed visiting the 'Big Island' since our honeymoon is 2000. We used to stayed at a very famous resort until a few years ago when they tried to charge us $50/night per fold up bed when we were on a (Family Package). After that we decide we wanted to continue to visit Hawaii, but did not want to deal with the hotel 'profit centers' any more.

What makes this condo unique

Families with young children will enjoy the ease of not having to pack and travel with items such as port-a-cribs, beach towels, games, toys and other youth items. All of our guests will enjoy brand new furniture, TV's, kitchen items, and beds. We do not buy garage sale items like some owners. We have a lot of return guests, and we hope every guests visitsd us again. We do offer 15% OFF future stays at all 3 of our vacation properties (South Lake Tahoe, California, Ka'anapali Beach, Maui & this rental in Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii

This is condo has the most amazing view from the patio. We sat and watched whales everyday.

Great location with great golf course out the back door. Very secure location easy to find and close to shopping areas and great restaurants. Everything we needed in the condo ready to move in. Felt like home.

A great place for a family vacation!

This is a great place to build your vacation around! The Hali’i Kai property is beautiful & immaculately manicured. The Ocean View Club has extraordinary views (just like the name says) and a friendly staff. You feel like you’re at a luxury resort but without the crowd. It was a lot of fun to sit at the pool and watch the whales put on a show. The condo itself is nicely furnished, well maintained, with a comfy atmosphere. Plenty of room for our family of 5. We really enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners out on the lanai. The view and sunsets are just as shown in the pictures. The unit has sports equipment, coolers, towels, chairs, boogie boards, and other gear that make it super easy to hit the beach without the need to rent a bunch of stuff. There are even some bicycles that our teenagers used to get around the area. Doug also provided a great list of recommended beaches, restaurants, and other hot spots as well as easy instructions on how to get there. Thanks Doug, your place was the cornerstone for an incredible family vacation!

Best equipped condo ever!

We just had a wonderful 7 night stay at Doug's beautiful place! The location and unit was great - exactly as shown in photos. What I was not prepared for is the level of thought that went into the contents of the unit! We have two children, and they so very much enjoyed all of the beach toys, beach towels, and sporting equipment! I so appreciated the kitchen being so stocked with every appliance and utensil that one could possibly want. We were so comfortable there and saved quite a bit of money being able to borrow things that we would normally have to buy. Thank you Doug for such a wonderful holiday!

Comfortable, pleasant stay and great location for families

My family of 6, including 2 young kids stayed at this unit for 10 days in November and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Upon checking in we were faced with an unexpected, inconvenient situation with the unit, however upon contact with Doug the next morning, he was able to find a suitable solution and the rest of our stay was fortunately great. The unit itself was well maintained, very well stocked, and a great layout for families especially it being a ground floor corner unit meant that our kids had easy access to play in the grass without disturbing other guests. We found the beds to be comfortable and the kitchen had all the utensils and cooking items you may need. Other amenities such as beach towels, chairs, toys etc were a welcomed convenience and saved us from having to buy them. The Hali'i Kai resort itself is well-maintained, quiet and our kids especially enjoyed themselves in the pool. The location of the condo was conveniently located near to 3 kid friendly beaches (A-bay, Spencers beach and Hapuna). It was nice not having to drive too far to spend a few hours at the beach. Grocery shopping was a further drive, unless you wanted to go to the insanely expensive shops at Queens marketplace nearby. Personally, we chose to stock up at the Costco near the airport and go to the grocery store at Waikoloa marketplace which was more reasonably priced and only a 10 minute drive. Overall we highly recommend anyone stay here!

Perfect - every single time.

We have stayed at this property many times and always come back. It is our favourite place and always special for our family. The home is always well maintained, any issues are easily dealt with immediately (not that I have experienced any really), location is great (never rains), the kitchen is fabulous, and the overall unit is really fairly priced for the size and amenities. The staff at the Ocean Club are the best and we are sad every time we leave and have to say goodbye.

Do not hesitate to book here or you will miss out!

Beautiful, well maintained and well furnished condo with Ocean View

Hali'i Kai is a wonderful complex with a beautiful ocean front pool, spa, food/bar pavilion and work out facility. The community is wonderfully kept and Unit 8H is well positioned to take advantage of a great view of the golf course and ocean.

The unit is very clean, very well furnished and stocked, and its owner is very responsive, professional and attentive to his client's needs.

One of the purposes of this trip was for us to look at properties to purchase. Thus, we were in and out of several complexes and several condos of various prices and sizes. Hale Kai is top notch, and this Unit is up there with the very best we saw.
