Very nice place. Clean, well managed property. Abundant space to spread out. Beautiful setting in the trees.
Beautiful home in the beautiful southern hills.
Stephanie made staying at her home so easy. We arrived after a long drive from the Denver Airport and Stephanie had provided the code for access. The home was clean and had all the comforts of your own home and then some. It was very quiet and relaxing and the property was beautiful to walk and see the wildlife that called this area home. The smell of the Black Hills Pines that surrounded this beautiful home added a special touch to our stay. I recommend this home to anyone staying in the area. I look forward to returning in the near future.
Property was amazing!
The house and property was amazing! The owner was always available to answer questions, and there was everything we needed!
Immaculate home. Beautiful surroundings. Quiet. Lots of wildlife
First time in SD
What a beautiful home, very serene and comfortable. Can't wait to come back.
A perfect Black Hills retreat!
The Pine Hills property was a beautiful and perfect place for our family of four to escape to the Black Hills.
Tucked away, southeast of Edgemont, we enjoyed the quiet of the forested hills that surrounded us. We woke up to turkey and deer every morning and loved watching and listening to all of the birds as we planned our day. Located about 40 minutes from Custer, we enjoyed the scenic drive through the Black Hills National Forest to get to all of the sites and activities for which this part of the country is known.
We spent time in Custer State Park and enjoyed Sylvan Lake and Needles Highway. Hill City is a fun town and we would really recommend Prairie Berry Winery / Miner Brewery. They are dog-friendly and share a campus with a really nice green space for yard games. We spent one day in Spearfish Canyon and topped it off with a great burger at the Eagle Bar in Deadwood. Of course we hit Mount Rushmore and took the kids ziplining at Tramway Adventures in Keystone before stopping to pick up a pizza on the way home at the Pizza Mill in Custer. Other notable activities were the Naked Winery and Sick-N-Twisted Brewery in Hill City, the Cosmos Mystery Area in Keystone and the drive through Wind Cave National Park.
After all of the excitement, we REALLY looked forward to the long winding driveway and the quiet serenity that waited for us. We would stop in town at the 24/7 grocery for any supplies we needed and make the 5 minute drive "home".
The house is huge! But more importantly it is clean, comfortable and has everything you need during your stay. We spent several evenings grilling and relaxing on the wrap around deck. After exploring the hills that surround the house, our kids would wind down with Netflix and popcorn and loved the master shower. As always, the kitchen was the common space. The open design bordered by a bar-height counter was perfect. Well labeled and organized cabinets contained all of the necessities. Stephanie had everything set for us and we really appreciate it!
Thank you, Stephanie, for letting us make Pine Hills "ours" for 5 days. It felt like we were visiting a family home and really allowed us to completely unwind every day.
1 mile from Mickelson Trail; thousands of acres for horseback riding and hiking; live theater melodramas in the summer. City park, museum, library
