Why Cristina chose Dénia

Dénia combines the maritime flavor of a centuries-old enclave by the sea, with the joy of a modern city, equipped with commercial and health services (hospital), with a typical Mediterranean village where walking, shopping or tasting its traditional cuisine in its many restaurants.

On the beach of Las Marinas you can practice water sports, windsurfing, etc. because it is one of the favorite beaches for sea lovers and sport.

The Royal Yacht Club , El Portet and La Marina de Dénia are three marinas available to the city, with a wide range of services for boating enthusiasts .

The town of Denia is located approximately 100 kilometers from Alicante and Valencia on the N -332 and AP- 7 (exit 62). Bus and rail connections and direct shipping services to Ibiza and Formentera make it one of the best connected locations in the Costa Blanca

What makes this apartment unique

WIFI and ASTRA 19.2 and 23.5 Satelite with "lnb" (for dutch channels). It is a quiet, new construction and very good development. The building has two lifts and concierge at least 5 days a week.

It has a quiet swimming pool with a special area for children, two tennis/paddle and rest area with wifi in comun area.

At 100 meters from the beach, 8 minutes walk from the village/town.

The apartment is very spacious, 70 meters plus 20 meters of terrace (additional). 2 spacious bedrooms (sleeps 5 people), plus big living room with sofa - bed of 1.40 m (capacity 2 people). 2 bathrooms and underground garage.

Living-room with LCD TV with an USB input.

Spanish TV programs can be viewed in original version easily (just with a buttom of TV remote control).

Good location, dirty apartment

PROS +

Photos represent apartment well. Swimming pool area is nice, walking distance to the old town and beach is good too. We had very fluent communication with owner until arrival day, who informed us that at the day of arrival we will be met by representative, who speaks only Spanish (we don't speak Spanish). We haven't seen big problem, because we are young, communicative and frequent travelers.

CONS -

After we entered apartment and started to unpack we have found many dusts. The most shocking parts were sofa in the living room and master bed room. As we traveled with 6 months old son, we decided to split sofa in the living room and make kind of big sleeping bed and let him lay there. We found there covered dirty linings from previous people with many dust, hairs and old food crumbs. We called owner's representative and the owner. Owner was surprised and told us that some time ago he visited apartment and all was ok. Representative arranged a visit of 2 cleaning ladies at the same day. During the time we waited for cleaning ladies I checked fridge, oven, bathrooms and it was obvious that after last guests apartment wasn't cleaned! Or maybe somebody lived there without informing the owner. When cleaning ladies came were shocked about the situation. They did their job, I cleaned together with them, because everywhere were dusts and we spend around 2 hours by cleaning! "Nice" beginning of family holidays. We moved furniture etc. However when I showed limescale on sinks, water taps, they told me that this is only from water and they don't see reason to clean it :-)! Maybe it's cultural differences...

The grand final was when finally we decided to go to sleep and took away bedding in master bed room. We found dirty bed linings with obvious evidences that somebody slept there before because pillow had head shape and the bedsheets was dirty. Honestly - I didn't expect this and didn't check bed lining when I waited for cleaning ladies. Maybe because this is too much even for me... We called again to representative who came only when I said that if he doesn't come - I call to owners. When he came we gave him all dirty linings however the only thing that this man was able to say was: "olimpico". He was repeating this word all the time, when we were showing him what is wrong or dirty...

Owner didn't call us to ask how it goes further.

It's pity that this left bad feeling for the rest of our holiday...

I tried to make your stay as pleasant as possible; Prior to your arrival I sent you information about places of interest (such as English speaking hospitals, health center, restaurants, etc.). I searched and found places to buy BIO vegetables and rabbit and lamb meat that only ate your baby, I left you a bed and chair for the child.. Before you pay I let you know that our contact person did not speak English, we had never had any problems and except for you we continued without any problems .. When, according to your opinion, we knew about the condition of the apartment, I urgently sent two persons to be cleaned again without any extra cost .. Sorry for the inconveniences.

The location is great - a walking distance both to the beach and to the city center, at the same time far enough from city noises. The apartment itself is comfortable, spacious and modernly furnished. Also the pools area is really well cared and the hedge around it protects from wind very well, so you may sunbathing even if an outside temperature is not too high. We had also a chance to play a little bit of tennis - it is convenient they have two courts at the estate.

For parents: beside the swings in the estate garden there is a well maintained outdoor playground right on the way to the town center - ideal for lively preschoolers who never get tired.

And last, but not the least - the landlady is very communicative and helpful person who responses to emails instantly.

Very complete apartment, ideally situated

Nice spacious apartment, very well equipped. The location is very near to the beaches and the port district with an excellent choice of bars and restaurants. Cristina, the owner, has provided detailed information on the lay of the land, places where to eat, to visit. Everything was well arranged and I can certainly recommend this place for a short and a long stay.

No está mal

Hemos estado 7 días y por circunstancias ajenas nos alojaron en otro mucho más grande, la piscina está genial sin mucha gente. La playa está retirada y el centro de denia está a 5 minutos en coche y a 15 minutos andando. Lo negativo es que te hacen entrar a partir de las 4 para limpiar y salir antes de las 10 y luego la limpieza no es tan exquisita y por lo que pierdes medio día y ya pagas bastante la semana.
