About Judy A Smith
Judy and Rick Smith are the owners and manage the property. Both are Oregon natives and long time residents of the Willamette Valley. They live in the only neighboring residence about 1/3 mile NW of the property. Both are very familiar with the local wineries and other attractions in the area and available to provide information.
Judy A Smith purchased this Farmhouse in 2018
Why Judy A Smith chose Rickreall
520 acres of land was purchased in 1986 by Judy's parents, Glenn and Mary Westbrook, and the property has been named the Westbrook Reserve in their memory. The original residence was constructed in 1988 and two additions were made to the house since that time. Over the years the property was used as a family country retreat to enjoy the quite and beauty of nature. During the fall the migrating geese fly over the property by the thousands. Songbirds, Hawks and and Eagles are commonly seen. Deer and Elk can be observed in the Oak Savannah on the property.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
The property borders the 2,500 acre Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge to the west. Located just off of Highway 99 W provides easy access to Salem, McMinnville, Monmouth and Dallas. Private hiking trails through the hills of the Oak Savanna and lower prairie offer views of the Willamette Valley and encounters with Deer and Elk. Watch the sun rise or set with unobstructed views of the surrounding farmland and neighboring vineyard.

Farm living at its finest!
Great location. It is central to all the wineries, restaurants, and even the coast. It is a wonderful property and so tastefully decorated. Each room was welcoming and comfortable. The iron sheets a most delectable treat. Judy, the owner, went the extra mile in providing many welcoming niceties from breakfast foods to candies in every room and even left a birthday cake for one in our party. The house has everything one needs and became a home to all of us. Wish all properties were this grand! Thank you, Judy.
Thank you for your nice review.
It was great having you ladies from Florida celebrating a birthday!
I love hosting amazing people at the Westbrook-Reserve.
Beautiful, Quiet Location
This property is stunning. The pictures are great, but they can't do it justice. Judy and Rick are gracious hosts. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Would stay again and again.
Thank you for your review! We're happy you and your family enjoyed your stay.
Hope to see you again!
Rick and Judy
My family and I stayed here for two nights for my sisters wedding at Zenith Vineyards up the road. During the booking process, the owner was very responsive and helpful. Upon arrival, she met us at the property and couldn’t have been more kind. She made our stay truly amazing. We will definitely be staying here again in the future. Stunning home with incredible views of the property.
Thank you for the nice review! Hope to see you again!

Perfect in Every Way
This is an unbelievable property and location! The home is spotless and equipped with everything needed for an enjoyable, relaxing and comfortable stay. The home and farm have an interesting and long history in the area.
In addition to fantastic views of the Willamette Valley landscape, it is 5 minutes or less to hiking trials and wineries. Although it is located on a farm in a beautiful and quiet countryside outside Salem, it is very close to groceries, restaurants, take-out pizza, etc. Portland is close by allowing for a quick day trip for lunch, dinner, and shopping.
Judy is an excellent and accomodating hostess, going out of her way to help us out with a few travel issues while en route to the property.
This is definitely a property we will return to in the future.
Thank you John for the wonderful review!

My best to you and your family!
