About June Morton

My parents moved to this property in 1982 and spent many happy years here. My husband and I purchased it from the family estate in 2005. We planned to retire here but have since bought a larger property in South Beach and have spent the last nine years renting the property for long term lets.

We have now decided to use the property for short term holiday lettings.

June Morton purchased this house in 2005

Why June Morton chose Scotland

As a child our family rented a house in Troon for the summer holidays.

In 1982 my parents moved to Troon from the Irvine Valley.

The minute I saw this property when my parents bought it I fell in love with it. It has stunning views and is extremely bright and spacious. It is a fabulous house for those who love the sea and bright sunny aspects! It is a children's paradise. A secluded, sheltered private garden with access to the promenade, cycle path and the beach. They can play safely without the fear of traffic. Extremely relaxing for the parents!

What makes this house unique

Perfect location for all golf courses, restaurants, the town and the beach. Every amenity is within walking distance.

Would highly recommend giving this property a try!

A lovely property with gorgeous views

  • 5 of 5

The house is a beautiful, high ceiling, spacious house.

We rented it for my family to get together for one of my sons wedding, so with family flying back from all over the world and an open house for friends and family to meet each other before the big day. June had left little extras and fresh flowers to make us welcome and was in contact if there was a query. I would recommend this property to anyone, it was fabulous.

Owner's Response: I am delighted all went well for you and also that you had a beautiful sunny day for your wedding at Lochgreen. You also had the added bonus of the Red Arrows and their amazing show outside your living room window the day before! I doubt if you knew that would have been happening almost two years ago when you reserved Westview! Or perhaps you did! Anyway I feel honoured that you chose to stay in my property for the special occasion and hopefully the newly weds will return again perhaps for an anniversary or maybe even a Christening?! I think a Christening is the only celebration we haven't hosted at Westview! No pressure there! Best Wishes June

The situation and views are incredible. June is a lovely person, and helped us so much.

Absolutely lovely villa in Troon that oozes warmth and charm, right on the sea and with a wonderful view of the golf course. Our family booked a last minute stay with June, who cheerfully picked us up from the train station and made sure we had "bubbles" in the fridge, whiskey truffles and fresh cut flowers. The home is spacious and immaculate with every convenience. The kitchen is brand new; the living room features a bay window overlooking the gorgeous garden and the sea. The villa is within walking distance of the sweet village of Troon, which offers a variety of restaurants and shops, if one doesn't wish to spend all their time walking the beach or visiting nearby castles and islands. June went out of her way to make our stay a delight. I cannot wait to return to this special place in Troon.

Great house and excellent location

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in this lovely house, although the weather was terrible, but I must say, this unit is great and beautiful. It has everything you will need and a lot of space to accommodate large groups. A short walk to the beautiful beach, and a lovely backyard to enjoy your afternoon tea. The owner (Mrs. June) is a wonderful person and she made sure we enjoyed our stay in Troon. If you are visiting this area, then this unit is the ideal one, look no further.

Owner's Response: Dear Ali, It was a great privilege to host you and your wonderful family and I wish your daughter every success in her chosen career. It was a shame about the weather but at least the children managed to drag you on a few shopping expeditions! Do hope all is well for you all. June

Beautiful, Perfect, Magical

  • 5 of 5

We loved, loved, loved our stay! We were warmly welcomed by June, who is just amazing:) The house is beyond beautiful and immaculate. Has everything you could ever want or need. The location on the beach was to die for and the views from the house were second to none. I cannot say enough great things about our host and our stay. Troon was just great to explore and we had some fabulous meals! Also a visit to the Isle of Arran is a must! But the gem of the trip was the time spent at the beach and this beautiful, magical and perfect house. Thanks so much again for everything June - you made our trip unforgettable:))

Owner's Response: It was an absolute delight to host you and your lovely family. It makes all my efforts so worthwhile when I receive a review such as yours! My desire is that guests feel that they are stepping into the comforts of a welcoming home where they can feel totally at ease with all the comforts they enjoy in their own home without all the hard work. It is so important when we all lead such busy lives these days that you feel you can just chill when you are away and are not confined to an hotel bedroom. The freedom of having your own space with your personal living quarters, private garden and your own driveway is always very pleasing! Especially when you only have to share it with your family and/or friends! Hope you will come back another day!

Beautiful house. Perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

We were going to a function at the South Beach Hotel so the location was perfect for that and also only a short walk into town.

Everyone enjoyed the place and I would certainly recommend it to friends.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for choosing Westview and I am delighted you enjoyed your stay. I agree it is an ideal spot to attend functions held at the South Beach and indeed the Piersland Hotel, the Marine and Lochgreen! You can just amble home on foot after the party! I very much appreciate your visit and for leaving the house nice and tidy. Thank you.

This is a beautiful ornate Victorian property in excellent decorative order and offers wonderful accommodation for family and friends. It is also any golfer's paradise located adjacent to the famous Royal Troon golf course and within walking distance of the three Troon Municipal courses. I am proud to say I hosted senior executives from NBC/Golf Channel during the 145th Open Golf Championship at Royal Troon, 2016. They were delighted with their accommodation and with its proximity to the course!
