Kohala Coast Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + 2 Baths, (Sleeps 5)

Centrally located between the rolling green hills of Waimea and the Kohala Coast. Some of the Big Island's most beautiful beaches are located within a 15 minute drive. This condo is located in the Hills complex on Paniolo Ave., directly across from the Village shopping center.

Close by are many of the Big Island attractions - 'A' Bay and the Waikoloa Resort area - where you can snorkel along coral reefs, walk along a mile long white sand beach, and explore two large petroglyph fields, ancient fish ponds, and Hawaiian temples.

At the Waikoloa Resorts you can also take a daytime or sunset sailing cruise, a whale-watching expedition. The resorts also offer fine dining and great shopping. Swimming with the dolphins and helicopter rides are also close by.

Waimea, an old cattle ranching town, with many fine restaurants and shopping is just 15 minutes away. The old sugar plantation towns of Hawi, Kapaa and Honokaa, and the oceanside cliffs and valleys of Pololu and Waipio are easy drives from the village.

The Waikoloa Village Shopping Center is conveniently located just across the street, where you'll find a modern food market with bakery and deli departments, banking, a pharmacy, beauty salon, and other shops.

This 1100 sq. ft. ground floor condo (no stairs) sleeps 4, with a TV and king size bed in the master bedroom, and a queen bed in the second bedroom. We have a roll away bed that is perfect to put in the living room for an additional child guest.

There is a new large capacity washer and dryer in the unit. It is completely furnished with cooking utensils, dishes, towels, linens, etc. We've even provided an ice chest, sand chairs, and beach mats for your picnic! There are 2 cable TV's and a DVD player. The condo is cooled easily with ceiling fans for your enjoyment. This is your 'Hale Sweet Hale' on the Big Island.

Two lanais across the back with a table and 4 chairs give you privacy and a place to enjoy meals while outdoors.

Guests receive discounted golf at the adjacent golf course and have access to the solar heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, and barbeque area on the grounds of the complex. Tennis courts are available to guests at no extra cost.

About Tricia Soliz

My parents originally purchased this condo to enjoy as a second home during retirement. They turned it over to me in 2014. Some of my best childhood memories are of our many vacations to Hawaii, so I am thrilled to be able to bring my own family here each year. We live in The Bay Area and are a very active family. John works as a Nurse Anesthetist and Tricia works as a Realtor. Our 3 children keep us busy with their school and extracurricular activities. Our yearly Hawaiian vacations allow us to relax and have fun as family together-whether it's kayaking, snorkeling, discovering new places, or just enjoying all of the delicious Island cuisine!

There is something magical about Hawaii and the images it brings just thinking about it. We have been to the other islands and my parents decided on the Big Island because of its diversity and beautiful beaches. The Volcano National Park is unique; there is nothing like it on the other Hawaiian islands.

What makes this condo unique

Location, Location, Location! The elevation at 1,000 feet often means cooler weather, yet the BEST beaches are only 6-8 miles away. We love the convenience of a condo because we can enjoy all of the amenities it has to offer and it feels like a home away from home. It is conveniently located within walking distance from the Waikoloa Village shopping center, which offers a wonderful grocery store, a delicious bakery, other small shops, and a convenient gas station.

We have returned safely from our wonderful Hawaiian vacation. Your condo was so lovely and had all the comforts of home. It's nice having a kitchen to cook meals so that we didn't have to eat out every day, and the grocery store was an easy walk from the condo. It was a nice environment for my 4 year old son to play, do puzzles or watch DVDs. We enjoyed breakfasts on the patio, and watched the wild turkeys pass by the backyard. We took daily walks around the condo grounds looking for turkeys and the 2 local cats that he affectionately called 'Kitty' and 'Catty!' The beaches were a short driving distance away and we visited those daily. My husband's triathlon didn't go so well, too much time in the sun and ocean days prior to the event. (At least we had fun doing it). He's not used to competing in the heat and humidity. But he's planning on trying again next year! We enjoyed our stay so much that we'd love to return next year either in April or June again, and for a longer period of time (10-14 days maybe). Hopefully you'll have openings at the condo. Again, we appreciated your hospitality!

Perfect for our family

The condo was perfect for our 6 night stay. The condo is well equipped with beach chairs, beach umbrella, body boards, sand toys, full kitchen and laundry. It was a relaxing place to come back to after a day at the beach. We had free wifi. Joyce was very responsive when we had questions and was great to work with. I would highly recommend staying here when vacationing on the Big Island.

Mahalo for a great time

Nice, clean spacious condo. Back patio was great to sit and enjoy the flowers and watch the birds including wild turkeys.

Was convenient to be able to borrow the beach mats, chairs and boogie boards (fabulous fun even for us old folks!)

Location was easy to find, though next time will book early enough to get a place on the beach. Paying via paypal from Canada was a challenge but Joyce was patient and accommodating and we finally worked it all out!

Wonderful!!

The condo was everything we had expected and more!! It was super clean and had everything we needed down to the dish soap!

It was quiet and peaceful...If we go back to the Big Island, we will for sure rent this again. The owner, Joyce, was a pleasure to work with and her instructions for check-in, check out and what to do once in the condo made the whole experience much simpler than we had thought.

A Great Long Term Stay

This property was exactly as described and photographed. It was very clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. The owners were extremely nice and easy to work with. I would recommend this property to anyone. The shopping center is right across the street. The pool and hot tub is across the parking lot and the manager there is very helpful also. We enjoyed our time in this condo very much. It is six miles from the nearest beach. The golf course is very near also. It is at 400' elevation so a little cooler than the beach area.

Very comfortable stay, great location and great owners

The condo was exactly as described and as were the photos! The owners were extemely friendly to work with. They answered all our questions in a timely manner! Having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was a plus! We loved the wild turkeys and quails that visited us every morning. The complex is really nice and secure, as well as close to everything. It really is 10 minutes from the most popular beaches on the Big Island. The grocery store is a very short walk from the complex. Be sure to check out Daves Coffee Shack! Best pancakes and french toast for under $7.00!! I highly recommend this condo.
