Beaches: Seagull Beach is just a 5 minute walk around the corner, or a 2 minute drive with plenty of parking. The Beach is long with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the sun!!!!
This cottage and location were absolutely wonderful. The mornings on the back deck overlooking the lake, the evenings with the fire pit, the wooden swing in the back yard, the short walk to the beautiful beach. The location and setting could not be better.
The cottage itself is rustic and charming, just as a Cape Cod cottage should be. The outdoor shower was wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked for everything we wanted and Jac was attentive to any need we had.
If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing environment at a point that's convenient to the rest of the Cape, I can't recommend this cottage enough. We'll definitely be back.
Quaint and cute, with Cape decor and personal touches. Owner was responsive to text messages and pleasant to work with. Kids liked running around the back yard, collecting twigs for the fire pit and using the tree swing. Enjoyed meals on the deck overlooking the river. Wished I had brought a wagon for toting kids to the beach and there it was! Galley kitchen is small for food prep but has plenty of amenities - although knives were too dull to cut a watermelon. Thank goodness for the coffee maker! Like another poster said, be wary of how well the guests before you cleaned the dishes and cups. Liked having dressers in the bedrooms for putting away clothes and the wicker laundry basket was a nice touch. Queen bed was rather soft, but twin beds were comfortable - all could use new mattress pads and pillows. Small stand up shower but the outdoor shower made post beach cleanup more fun. A/C was powerful and WiFi worked just fine. Didn't realize it was a duplex until we arrived, but our neighbor was quiet and rarely home. Quick drive to everything (Pirate's Cove mini golf, Skull Island Go-Karts, Pancake Man restaurant) and nice 1/2 mile walk with designated pedestrian lane to Seagull Beach (beware of seaweed.) No parking fee after Labor Day! Could have used more paper towels and some trash bags before we arrived and had time to get our own. Trash receptacle was mostly full and smoke detector was missing. All in all a very convenient place to stay for families seeking a low key, quintessential Cape experience. Would stay again and bring additional family to rent the other side!
We rented for two nights. The cottage is perfect for families. Our kids loved the backyard, swing and bunk beds. Very close to beaches, mini golf and resteraunts. Looking forward to next summer already.
A cozy cottage with lots of charm and an outdoor space to chase the stress away! Clean and comfortable. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the view of Gulls Cove each morning and evening!
With bikes and kayaks in tow, we enjoyed the various sights and sounds of Cape Cod! We are all looking forward to returning!
We had such a nice week in Cape Cod. The cottage was the perfect home base for us! We had never been to Cape Cod before and we clearly lucked out coming across this charmer. We are a family of 5. The two older kids (10 & 12) slept in the bunk room and our 1 year old slept with us in the queen bed. We loved having the outside shower! The swing is a great touch too! We truly enjoyed our stay at this adorable little cottage and in Cape Cod as a whole. We will be back!
The cabin is very neat and clean. You are close to the beach and sun rise is beautiful. Could use blinds or shades on the doors and shower head needs good cleaning or replacement. All in all this is a perfect spot.
A short walk to Seagull Beach on scenic Nantucket Sound, a quick drive to Hyannisport and the JFK Memorial Library or the Kennedy compound. Sail to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard from Hyannis just minutes away. So much to do on Ole Cape Cod!!!!
Golf: Golf is a major industry on Cape Cod with over 25 local courses within a 20 mile radius.!!!!
