We had a relatively nice stay....wind was terrible and did not allow us to use fire pit...but we were satisfied overall. No pods for dishwasher or laundry which was a disappointment especially since you asked us to do dishes and laundry. We ran out and got some which was inappropriate. And only 2 trashbags... simply suggest you keep some here for use.otherwise everything was great.
Thank you for your review and my apologies you feel this way about dishwasher and laundry.
I would like to express that I never asked for you to run any laundry neither any dishwasher and that we always provide dishwasher pod and laundry detergent. We also provide a whole pack of trash bags under kitchen sink.
My cousins and I stayed here for Coachella weekend and had an amazing time. House is so clean, nice and modern. Host was very accommodating and friendly, would love to stay here again!
Bright new home, great amount of space!
This home was great for two families with kids. We had 4 adults and 3 children, and the kids loved staying in the Casita! The courtyard was great! Loved the fireplace at night, and the kids had a blast in the pool, while the adults lounged in the hot tub. The kitchen was stocked with pots/pans/dishes/etc--not quality ones at all (more like dollar store), but functional. There was dishwasher soap and some laundry soap to wash towels with (bath and beach towels were provided). This place has a ton of glass, glass windows, table, etc--yet there's no glass cleaner, so be prepared to buy some. Watch out for your knees if you sit at the glass table on the heads of it--you will smash your knees right into the frame (we all did it!) Also, unlike other places we've stayed, there's not much in the way of more than salt and pepper, so be prepared to buy it all. Also, there's no dvd/blu-ray player, so if you plan to watch movies, bring your own I guess. Here's the reasons that we only gave it 4 stars: Palm Springs has this rule that you are not allowed to play music AT ALL an ANY time of the day, even if it comes from inside the home, otherwise you can get fined and kicked out of the rental. And it's not only music, if you're kids are playing too loudly in the pool, the same fine can occur if the police are called by neighbors. We were not informed of this until a few days before we arrived, so we had no way of re-booking. Another issue was how extremely close the home is located to the airport--beginning at about 4:30 each morning, the sound of airplanes landing and taking off was extremely loud. And lastly, the neighborhood was just not what we were expecting, as it seemed a bit crowded and maybe just older (the neighborhood itself was quiet though--almost too quiet).
Desert R & R
My family and I enjoyed our stay at this home in mid March. The house is lovely, new and comfortable. The set-up is perfect for multiple couples or a family with adult children. We loved the open floor plan and the casita is a nice addition. The kitchen is well stocked for food prep if that is your thing (right down to a garlic press!) and as we were eating in on multiple occasions, this was perfect. The pool, which we chose to heat, is very nice and we used the spa nightly. Perhaps the biggest hit was the firepit though. It was fun to gather round at the end of a full day.
While I am giving this property 5 stars I do feel I should mention that we did have some issues with broken pool and patio umbrellas and a non-existant ping pong table. Neither of these things may be important to a lot of people, however my kids love to play ping pong and that factored into our house rental decision. There were multiple umbrellas at the property but only one was working (the desert wind can be rough on umbrellas). Again, possibly not a big deal to some but we had a baby in our group as well as a couple fair skinned people who limit their sun exposure. I contacted Hector the property manager about these things. Unfortunately he had suffered an injury and was not able to correct the issues. While I feel badly for him, a back-up person would have been helpful and that would be my suggestion for the future. Hector has reached out to me since our stay and I am confident that he will attend to these matters. I would be happy to stay at this property again in the future.
Desert Palm Estates Stay
The house was beautiful and accommodated 4 couples each having their own bedroom and full bathroom. The outdoor area was lovely and a great place to relax. The hot tub was roomy enough for everyone. We did have difficulty managing the heat in the pool. It was done by remote control and there were no instructions in the home to help us navigate this. Hector was courteous and easy to deal with. Overall a great place to stay.
Very nice rental home, just as described.
Four travelers, all enjoyed having our own rooms with attached bathrooms. The property was nice and clean, and the hot tub was wonderful as was the gas fire pit. Very centrally located, on a quiet street. A slight bit of airport noise in the a.m. and p.m., but not too bad. We stayed in mid February, so the pool was not heated, but we did have that option for $75 dollars per day, if we had chosen it. Instructions to use the hot tub were very easy, and that was complimentary. We all agreed we would stay again.
Thank you so much Onda, your group was fabolous and all of you were extremely sweet!
Looming forward to seeing you in the future!
