About Mike McDonald
I am a native Floridian living in the Atlanta area with my wife Randy and son Steven. We love the beach and hope to spend more time in PCB when we retire. We love all water sports, have a cat named Ziva , and are active in our church.
Mike McDonald purchased this Condo in 2007
Why Mike McDonald chose Panama City Beach
The view of the incredible pool, beach, and gulf is what won us over. The famous emerald green water and white sand beaches across the Florida panhandle is the best in Florida. Also, the resort like atmosphere at SOP made it a great value. Now that both piers are completed, evening strolls or fishing with the panoramic beach lights in view makes for a fun evening activity. With the new international airport, and the total rebuilding of South Thomas Drive, and free trolley car transportation, PCB is reinventing itself into a more family friendly beach resort.
What makes this Condo unique
I keep comming back to the view. It is spectacular! I never get tired of sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view....even when there is a storm brewing! The close proximity to a reserved parking space on the same floor as our unit makes for a short walk with suitcases and groceries. The Poolside grill makes an excellent blackened grouper sandwich. As a musician, I also enjoy listening to music and videos on the Surround Sound Home Theatre system in the family room.

We had a great experience and wonderful trip. The room was exactly as advertised, clean, spacious, with access from the parking deck. This made loading and unloading the vehicle extremely easy. I would definitely stay again. Thanks for a great vacation.
This was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. The kitchen was well equipped. Beautiful View. We really enjoyed our stay.
We loved our condo, we got exactly what was listed. Wasted a lot of time going through the parking garage. Leave or come back at the wrong time takes 15-20 minutes to get to the 9th floor. Elevators were a total waste of time. Spent anywhere from 10-35 minutes to get on every time. Pool area and beach is over crowded and people we came in contact with are just rude. Security was more worried about kids throwing a ball in the pool than the late night noise and dope smoking that went on. Again our condo was nice great for people who love being over crowded and wasting time waiting on an elevator. Pool was very nice for younger kids. Will not stay here again.

Please note that the 3 star review is not directed at our rental unit. Our norm is a consistent "5" review. We try very hard to provide a super clean, well maintained, and updated property. We cannot, however, affect the overall resort's rating during peak occupancy summer rentals.
This was a great very clean condo. My only complaint were the elevators were slow.
Very nice Condo. Very nice complex. My family would definitely stay at this unit again.
We really appreciate your positive response, and more importantly, your positive experience in our unit at Shores of Panama.
We had an awesome time at this condo. Mike was very easy to get in touch with and answer any questions. Only issue we had was with the elevators and the parking deck at night time but other than that we had a very good week.
Shell Island area ( requires access by boat ) has herds of wild deer and is a major transit area for grey bottle nose dolphins. Adjacent to Shell Island and just 3-4 miles drive from the condo is St. Andews Park offering boat launch, picnic, camping beachcombing, swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving with a 'natural' flavor. We recommend renting a pontoon boat to enjoy the dolphins, shell island, and the PCB Bay area.
