7500 sq ft Lodge overlooking the scenic Cumberland River located on 75 acres
About Melinda Ross
The Hiding Place is owned and operated by Sage Impact Ministries a not-for-profit ministry that ....
Melinda Ross purchased this Lodge in 2002
Why Melinda Ross chose Clarksville
We chose this location so that women and men's groups would have a place to get away and reflect on things that are of importance. We wanted it to be secluded but not too far from Nashville. We have found that other groups like to use it for strategic planning sessions, staff retreats, family reunions, etc. It is a great place to get away from the bustle of life but still close enough to exciting activities (Nashville, Clarksville and Ashland City, TN).
What makes this Lodge unique
In the early morning it is not unusual to see various forms of wild life (turkeys, deer, waterfowl). The back porch is a relaxing place to sit and watch the occasional tugboat go by on the river or watch a hawk or eagle as they fly around. The Hiding Place is a very peaceful and restful get away.

Knitting retreat was a huge success!
18 fiber-loving ladies enjoyed the Hiding Place so much this weekend! We are already planning a return trip next year. It has plenty of space for us to all enjoy our crafting while still chatting and visiting in the huge family room. The rooms were clean, quiet, and perfect for us all. Thanks for a great weekend!
Annual family trip

Great retreat location
Really enjoyed staying at a very appropriately named place. If you enjoy peace and quiet you have found it . It also is close enough though to shuttle back and forth to Nashville or go into Clarksville for some good eats. We took a group of 16 and could not have asked for more as far as room to spread out but yet have a great fellowship area also.
The only challenge we encountered was getting our 35 ft bus down the winding drive ( great job Mr Bus driver).
Thanks to the owners for their hospitality . See you again in 2 years.
Our group was not disappointed with this property. The house was very clean, everything worked, and there was room enough so we weren't crowded together. The screened porch was the main gathering area for coffee in the morning and at night. There were deer in the yard in the mornings, and you could hear the boats go by all day. Melinda was great to work with. She made us feel at home and answered all of our questions quickly. We couldn't have asked for more. She was also very quick with returning our damage deposit without us having to call her to ask for it. This place is all it says on the listing and more. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable!
4 nights at The Hiding Place
Very nice. June, 2019 was our second year for our family reunion of 22 ppl, including 4 kiddos. Melinda, as she did in June, 2018, met us at the gate and was very accommodating. Great benefit was each bedroom had attached bath. Couple suggestions- additional bath towels, certainly more than one hand towel per bath, in each room. Kitchen is sufficient with plenty of cookware/utensils, etc. for prepping and serving food but an additional range/oven in lower level for cooking & baking would have been really convenient but all was good. A gas grill, in addition to the existing charcoal grill, would have been nice. All in all, all 22 had a great time. The A/C worked great and everyone always had hot water for showers. Plenty of outdoor open space to play games, etc. as well as inside with large dining table, chairs, and furniture and a screened in porch was used both day and night. Our only concern, since under new ownership, was the significant price increase over last year, about $250. more per night with no major accommodation changes but we decided to 'bite the bullet', we went and had a great time. Thank you Melinda and Hal.
