Complete remodel, this house is located on a quiet street ending at the shores of Great Pond, it has the size and space of a 3 bedroom house. Steps away is the hiking/bike trail along Great Pond, perfect for evening walks or a ride on one of provided bikes to the beach. The public boat ramp and docks are close enough to launch and park the trailer at the house making this the perfect location for those interested in bringing their own boat, kayak, or jet ski to access the open ocean. The house is fully furnished. The master suite is configured with a full size bed, the other as a "family bedroom" with full, bunks and desk area. The living room has a pull out couch and one of the two cable TVs; the family room has the other TV providing a private and quiet area for families with different bedtimes. A clean, bright kitchen, washer/dryer, and bath complete the accommodations. Sliding doors from the family room provide access to the back yard, grill and deck. Wireless internet and gift basket! Without fail, every return visitor last summer has texted/emailed - WOW on the remodeling. They won't believe phase 2 from this winter (to be finished by June 1). Mix of before/after pictures to understand the extent of the changes.
We really enjoyed our week at your cottage. It was close enough to everything to either take a walk or a very short drive, yet away just enough to have peace and quiet. No traffic, no crowds. As for the cottage itself, extremely comfortable and clean. I would recommend your place to anyone considering it, you will feel as though it is your own home. We may very well be calling on you again. Thanks for everything. F.H. Bellingham, MA
The house was immaculate....it was obvious that the owners put alot of thought into their home....there was nothing that we needed that was not in the home....it was especially nice to have the bikes ....we biked to Woods Hole on the bike trail...which I would highly recommend doing while visitng Falmouth. I would definately rent this property again and encourage anyone looking at this property to rent it...the owners are lovely to work with and you will not be disappointed.
The home was well maintained and has been beautifully renovated. It was perfect for our family of 5. The backyard was perfect for relaxing in the evening and the home is near a boat launch. It is also convenient to area beaches and other attractions on the cape. The owner was great to work with and we very much enjoyed our stay.
Our Cape Cod vacation at the Maravista Falmouth house was quite enjoyable! This cottage is very clean and well cared for. It has many updates including a brand new kitchen and bathroom. For a small cottage, it felt very roomy because of the two separate living areas. The bedrooms were sufficient with comfortable beds. The outdoor shower is spacious and perfect for a sunny, afternoon post-beach shower. The deck and fenced in yard are perfect for young children. The cottage was well stocked with brand new appliances, all necessary cooking supplies, and a good stock of games to play. The location, while not directly at the beach, is just fine. Many days, we road our bikes down a dirt road along scenic Great Pond which lead to the ocean. We also found it easy to drive just a mile down the road to drop off at Bristol Beach or Falmouth Heights Beach a little further. The owner cares about this property, and even went so far as to track down our son's lost teddy bears and make sure we got them back after our departure!
Our stay at 60 Cypress was fantastic. The house and all its amenities are in excellent shape - new fenced in backyard is great bonus. We have been renting this property for over 15 years (couple of breaks when infants arrived) and there have been improvements year after year to make each stay better. Though not in the house for most of the day, when you are there it is comfortable, roomy, great for kids, and decoratively fun (you feel like you are away). You have the Great Pond down the end of a quiet street for quiter times by the water and a short trip down the road you are at the Vineyard Sound very nice beach there. Dirt road walking path is right there too for running, walking, or biking.
The owner is very friendly and amenable to request for changes or questions about the area.
Please don't try and take our weeks, we look forward to continuing our visits there.
We stayed at the cottage the week of Labor Day 2009. We were in town for a wedding and decided to make a vacation out of it. The arrangement worked out great since we were arriving and leaving at different points during the week. The third bedroom provided by the space in the den was perfect to accommodate the over 21 kids. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and we enjoyed our welcome basket since we were starving! The location was great; we found plenty of places close by for take out, groceries and odds and ends. The weather was beautiful, probably the best week of an otherwise rainy summer. We managed to get to three beaches - the only one still charging to park that week was Old Silver, but it was worth it since we stayed the entire day. We did spend one afternoon at Mashpee Commons to take a break from the sun and enjoyed the shopping and lunch. We also enjoyed our walks along the path at the end of the street and cooking out in the back yard. I would highly recommend the cottage.
Our family enjoyed a great week in Falmouth this past August. The cottage was clean and had so many things we needed: bikes, helmets, beach chairs, beach umbrellas. There was a well-stocked gift basket and welcome card waiting for us and the owner provides so much information about local beaches and things to do. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us with 2 tv rooms and indoor and outdoor dining areas. We would definitely stay here again!
Live jazz music at the Nimrod Club located in downtown Falmouth. The Cape Cod Melody Tent, is located in Hyannis.
Falmouth is the home of five 18 hole golf courses and a one 9 hole course. Boating is just 300 ft away, just bring your boat, kayak, windsurfer... Surf fishing and the beach are all within a mile. The charter fishing boats and ferry to Martha’s Vineyard are about one and a half miles away.
With groceries, beer, wine, liquor and even Wal-mart less than a mile away, the house is very convenient. The Cape Cod Factory Outlet Mall is at the Sagamore Bridge for that occasional rainy day.
A complete area guide is maintained at the house. If you have any questions, please email us!
