Very nice cottage
The cottage had everything we needed. It was well-made and maintained. We had a great stay.
Nice place. Friendly neighbors. Just a little too pricey. 3 nights was almost $900.
4th of July
We loved our stay. Everything was just perfect. The RV resort was clean, the kids enjoyed riding scooters around. Nice clean beach with no crowds.
Cute little modern house
It was an adorable home with everything we needed. If it didn't have it have something such as we were missing a kitchen sponge, bathroom floor mat and wine glasses and I informed the office and they provided them as soon as they had them. The only drawbacks for me was that the shower ran out of hot water quickly and I had envisioned having views of the ocean. Other then that I loved the front porch, decks, backyard and my girls loved the loft.
Very nice beachside mobile home
A friend of mine and I rented the mobile home unit as we were working the US Open at Pebble Beach and this worked out perfectly. The unit was very clean and had all the needed amenities - towels, fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, linens, large screen tv, etc. Check in was easy and the office people are extremely helpful. As this is located in a small RV/camping park, there was a laundry room with many washers/driers. Good location about 10 minutes north of Monterey, easy access to the freeway. I would definitely stay here again.
So the two cottages in this RV park are right next to each other and look identical. I was given the code to the cottage and the lady at the check in pointed to the first cottage. I put the code in and it opens. Once I get in I quickly realize I was in the wrong cottage as I see someone’s shoes and coat. I freak out at this point and leave in a hurry. Get my cottage and the code works on my door too! It was the same code for both! That same day I discover my wallet is missing and the last place I had it was at the office when I checked in so I assume I must have left it in the first cottage when I left in a panick.
Needless to say the entire trip became a night mare because I never found the wallet and then me and my sister freaked the second night because she thought she heard someone trying to open our front door. Because both cottages had the same code we were uneasy the entire stay. I filed a police report for the lost wallet and the cop even said it was a big safety risk to have the same code for both cottages.
I emailed the owner and informed them all the things that occurred- never got a response!! I told them they owed me at least a partial refund for the horrible experience and again never got a reply. I am thinking of filing a bigger complaint with the better business bureau since they did not even have the decency to reply to me and I think it is illegal to have the same code for two different cottages- that’s like checking in to a hotel room and being given the same key as your neighbor. I have also reached out to a lawyer to ask their opinion on this. That is NOT ok to do and again adds to the fishiness of the situation.
Unless you want your stuff stolen or your neighbor to have your same code STAY AWAY from this place!!!! There is something very unsettling about this- the code thing and then losing my wallet and never getting a reply from the owner makes me highly suspicious. I had 400 dollars in gift cards in that wallet that is gone too.
