Lahaina Shores Beach Resort 475 Front Street Lahaina, Hawaii 96761
A wonderful alternative to the fast paced expensive resorts of Kaanapali and Kapalua. A block by beach or side walk to historic Lahaina Town. Lahaina's only beach front property where restaurants, shops, and nightlife are just steps away. The water in front of Lahaina Shores is calm and protected by a reef, just perfect for swimming or water floats. No shark worries, either. Hang out on the beach, swim, snorkel, or enjoy the lawn, pool or hot tub. Simply the best place, best location, and best value.
Free high speed internet for our guests.: (but you must ask the Front desk for the access code)
Just ordinary, hard working people who love Maui and specifically Lahaina Shores. Every year, we look forward to enjoying 5 weeks in our condo.
Carol Pranitch or Jane Martin purchased this condo in 2002
More than 25 years ago we discovered Lahaina Shores and ever since we would not stay any where else. We jumped at the chance when the opportunity arose to purchase a condo there. We truly love this place, the awsome view, the convenience to Lahaina town, the friendly guests and staff, the atmosphere.
Did I ever tell you what a fantastic time that Joe and I had in Lahaina at your place? The condo is a near-perfect place; the only thing better would be ... hmm, I can't think of anything to improve! (You can quote me on that.)
I am bringing my daughter to Lahaina at the end of April. (April 23 to May 2, to be exact.) It's her 15th birthday. (Aw.) I'd love to stay in your condo again; it's my first choice. It looks like, from the calendar, that those dates are available.
Just let me know! And thanks.
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful mountain view condo for 10 days and nights. The owners were great hosts and went above and beyond to accomodate every need. The murphy bed was awesome as it gave us added room and the full use of a living room during the day. It was very clean and nicely decorated in the Hawaiian theme with beautiful local art. The added bonus of the many music CD's was much enjoyed and there is a large library of current DVD video's as well. (We didn't watch any because we were too busy having fun.) I felt more like a guest in someone's home than a client in a hotel. There is an abundance of kitchen essentials, big, fluffy towels, comfy pillows, everything you could think of and more. The convenience of this codo was also a huge plus. The Lahaina Shores is within a 15-20 minute walk to anywhere in Lahaina, no car is necessary and it takes 5 minutes to get downtown. The town is wonderful, I much prefer it to Ka'anapali. There is beautiful local and international art galleries, wonderful restaurants, nightlife, every shop imaginable without being cheesy and touristy. Do Banyan Tree Park - stunning, plus art/craft festivals on Weekends. Most amazing, watching the Humpback Whales play all day long right from the resort. I highly recommend you come here during whale season (mid-Dec to end of April). Do a whale watch tour, also fabulous Luau's - we did Feast at Lele`. Expensive, but well worth every penny - Also it is right next to the resort so if you have one too many Maitai's or Pina Colada's from the free open bar, you merely need to stumble a few feet to get back. Also, snorkeling was at Molokini was great, swiming with the Sea Turtles at Olawalu - fabulous!!! (my personal favorite). Definitely see concierge MK or Anushka to get the best deals for tours - they'll tell you the best ones for your needs & will save you money. Don't forget to ask for coupons - lots of 2 for 1 dining deals & free deserts. If you do bring a car, drive the coast - stunning, visit the Iao valley - see the Iao needle - breathtaking. Of course Haleakala Crater & Road to Hana - highly recommended, we never did do either of those - that's ok, something to go back for. One caveat! Very limited parking - if you rent a car, be aware. Convenient if travelling away from the town but not needed locally. If we go back, (and we plan to), I wouldn't stay anywhere else. My personal little secret, and now yours too.
My husband and I have just returned from a week in Carol and Jane's condo at the Lahaina Shores Resort. The apartment was perfect for the two of us and was as described in terms of cleanliness and providing all the necessities.
We absolutely loved the location and the friendly staff at the front desk who always greeted you with a smile and a warm " Aloha".
The location is great in that it is away from the crowds of the town but within easy walking distance to the restaurants and shopping area. We were so sorry to have to leave at the end of our stay but hope to return one day soon. When that happens, we will definitely try to book this apartment again and will let any of our friends who may be travelling to Maui about our pleasant experience there.
this condo was sufficient for our stay on Maui.
1. location was great in Lahaina. we could walk to restaurants and shops. We also like the location of Lahaina on the island.
2. Price was good
3. enjoyed the balcony facing the mountains and the full size fridge
1. there was a funky smell coming from the closet by the door that was unpleasant upon entry
2. the sheets were kind of scratchy
3. queen size murphy bed (we are used to a king)
4. some street noise
There are other much more updated units in this building, but for what we paid it was a good deal.
Within walking distance to Lahaina, front desk very helpful and friendly. Bill at the front desk made a lei for my daughter's birthday, was very touching! The condo had everything we needed!
To stay at this resort as a hotel guest, it would cost significantly more! If you don't mind the VRBO experience of taking out your own garbage, what you have is the full amenities of a resort including security (hotel staff), concierge (I shipped a couple things from Amazon to them), pool and hot tub with direct access to a beach! Parking can be included at ~$3/night.
It's situated right on the outskirts of Lahaina - close enough to walk, but not too close to hear all the noise and tourist traffic. The room itself is a perfect studio with a nice patio overlooking the beautiful mountains. All the kitchen utensils, beach towel and regular towels are provided. You won't lose track of time as there are 3-4 clocks in this studio nor do you have to as it's your vacation.
The unit was clean and well maintained. The sheets/towels were also very clean.
We didn't eat out too much, but we liked the Kimo restaurant near by in downtown Lahaina. If you go down to Kihei on a Weds/Sat, I would recommend Maui Rotisserie Chicken for huli huli chicken/ribs combo for $10 (food truck style) or Geste Shrimp if you go towards Kahului. Also, don't forget hitting up Costco or Foodlands for Ahi Poke (raw tuna sushimi in different sauces).
Carol/Jane were very helpful and are very close by if you need anything. Highly recommended!
Thanks Carol for the great accommodations. We loved the quick elevator ride to the pool area with the grassy lounging area , right behind the beach and ocean view. This was great as most of the other accommodations we saw in Maui were big resorts that were further away from the ocean. We loved the quaint town and the luau right next door. It was nice to start our week with breakfast at "Betty's", also right next door before we had a chance to get groceries.
