Why Chris chose Town of Ephratah
IT TOTALLY MAKES SENSE because we offer so much more! With hotels being choked out by state and federal regulations, they are being forced to add ridiculously high "taxes and fees" ON TOP of your quoted nightly price. They're delightfully calling it a hospitality tax. Laymen refer to it as a bed tax, but logic knows it as a business killer. So why stay at a local hotel with a single room? For just a few dollars more per night you can make your business trip or weekend getaway so much more memorable in one of my cabins.

Well kept clean cabin
The stay was great and had lots of fun with the family. Hiked Kane mountain and had a good dinner in town at harolds. The cabin is very clean and decorated so nice.
Thank you so much, Stacie for visiting. And thank you for the nice review. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Perfect Cozy Cabin
If you're looking for a very cabin-y rental situated close to the Adirondacks, this place is ideal. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the decor and the gas fireplace, both of which brought out the woodsy vibe we were looking for. Of course the hot tub was great as well, with built in lights that made it quite romantic when the November sun set early. The kitchen is (mostly) fully stocked, so we were able to bring groceries and do a lot of our own cooking (which may be necessary as there aren't a lot of restaurants around). Though we didn't use it, there is a nice outdoor firepit and grill that would be great for a vacationing family. There's hiking very close by and plenty to see within an hour driving distance (including Lake George and the outlet mall there, and Saratoga Springs). Or do what we did and spend most of your time under a blanket on the couch with a tasty meal! Our one minor issue is that the cabin isn't tucked away with a long driveway (it's basically right on the main road, which you can't see in the pictures). However, since there wasn't much traffic, this didn't affect our happiness with the place. We would definitely stay again and would recommend for a couple or a small family!
Perfect place for a nice weekend getaway
Just as advertised. Clean, comfy and homey
Beautiful and so so cozy!
My husband and I absolutely loved this place! Literally 58 seconds from Adk park. The fall colors were gorgeous! The cabin was so clean and so comfortable. Loved the real cabin feel with all the log interior. Super cute! Chris was very kind and left the light on for us outside because we were arriving late. That chandelier on that porch when we pulled up! I was in love! He even sent us a text the following day to ask if everything was good for us and if we needed anything. Thank you Chris! The cabin had everything we needed and more! We used the grill one night and even watched our favorite dirt bike racing on the satellite tv. Bonus!!!
We can't wait to make our way here again.
A Comfy Cabin w/ All the Comforts of a Wooded Resort
If you're searching for a quaint, fully loaded vacation stay at a great price then this is the spot. We stayed here for our 1st anniversary. It was everything that we hoped for & more. Camp Garoga is well-appointed & designed with comfort in mind. Chris is incredibly thoughtful & staged the place perfectly for our arrival. The moment you step into the french doors, it feels like home (even if it is only temporary). Thanks again for providing the setting for an amazing weekend. Our only regrets are that we didn't have a chance to use the backyard & fire pit! We might have to come back again....
