This dream of a big-city apartment is located in a classic 17th-century grade II listed town house-located on the 2nd floor with its own entrance and private use of both kitchen and bath. Both the living room, dining room and bedroom are decorated with an eye for both atmosphere and comfort. If you appreciate class and style you will most certainly feel at home, also for longer stays. The apartment is located right at Christianshavns Canal, in a neighbourhood which counts both cosy cafes, bars and internationally recognized gourmet restaurants and green oases. Short distance to Copenhagen's most famous sights, good transport links to both the airport and train station, making the apartment a perfect base for both holiday and business trips.
Guests have free access to their own floor with bath, kitchen, living room, dining area and bedroom. There are two large electrically adjustable beds in the bedroom. Functional kitchen with all facilities including dishwasher, nespresso coffee machine, kettle, oven/microwave and all in glass, porcelain and cutlery. Wi-fi internet access and TV. Dressing gowns, hairdryer and ironing board/iron are also at your disposal.
Landlord lives in the property and is present upon arrival and departure. Can be contacted during your stay.
We loved Birgitte's apartment! It's very well equipped and the views from living room are wonderful. It felt like such a comfortable and warm place to stay, with absolutely everything we needed. The location is great, short walk to town and very close to lots of other attractions. Having a canal right outside the living room made for such a special feeling. The apartment was also clean, spacious and welcoming.
Birgitte was an amazing host. So kind to us and very patient, warm and welcoming with lots of great tips.
We adored Copenhagen and our visit was made even more special by staying in such a nice apartment with such a helpful host. We'd recommend the apartment to anyone and hope to return again soon!
We really enjoyed out stay at Douglas Apartment and hope to return next year. Booking was easy and Birgitte was very quick to reply to emails. Birgitte made us feel very welcome and the tour that she gave us when we arrived was helpful so we knew where everything was. The lounge is spacious and light and the kitchen is well equipped including a Nespresso coffee machine. The apartment is only fifteen minutes from the airport by metro and nearby there are coffee shops, a delicious bakery and restaurants. We enjoyed visiting the botanical gardens, swimming in the outdoor pool at Islands Brygge and kayaking.
Cannot imagine a better place to stay in Copenhagen. The apartment is ideally located on a busy (but quiet) street, with famous bakery diagonally across the street, and a metro station, bus stop, and supermarket within a block. The apartment is large with plenty of daylight and is very well equipped. It is one floor up via a steep but manageable stairway with sturdy railing. The owner lives in the apartment above, and operates the store below, which handles many attractive items, some of which you will find in the apartment. The owner could not be more generous, kind, friendly and helpful.
Convenient location. Great pastry shop, metro, grocery store, and restaurants all steps away from the front door. The owners, Birgitte and Eva, are both great hosts with superb hospitality skills. They are always willing to answer any questions you may have and continually go out of their way to make sure your visit to Copenhagen is the best. The beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The apartment was well maintained and very clean. There is city noise (if you open the windows) due to the great location of being in the center of the city, but if you keep the windows closed then all is fine. We enjoyed our stay and meeting Birgitte and Eva. They are both very kind and wonderful people.
300 yr/o bldg with character, only about 100 yards from a Metro station. Excellent bakery, a grocery store, other shops within 1/2 block. Right on one canal & great little restaurant/bar there at canal side. Several good & reasonably priced other restaurants nearby.
Birgitte is a pleasant, friendly, available, and excellent hostess.

We have been staying in HomeAway and VRBO properties all over Europe and the United States for twenty years, and Birgitte's property is our favorite. If I could give it more than five stars I would.
First of all, Birgitte was the kindest and most helpful host ever. The property was even better than described--I can't imagine a more convenient location. We were next to the Metro and many bus lines, on a beautiful canal, close to parks and shopping and the best bakery in Denmark, near the center of the city--and in a beautiful, beautifully furnished and cared for, light and lovely flat. Nearly everything we wanted to do was within walking distance.
The bathroom and kitchen were perfect, the beds were beyond comfortable, and we were happy just to be in the light, lovely , and comfortable living room.
Brigitte did everything to make us welcome, including picking my husband, who is mobility-impaired, up at the airport and escorting him back to the airport when he left. She greeted us with fresh pastries and coffee, and was always available for questions and assistance. We love Copenhagen, our apartment, and Brigitte, not necessarily in that order, and would be delighted to recommend it to any traveler to Copenhagen.
(And if you're a swimmer, there's a wonderful outdoor 75 meter pool less than a mile away, on a canal, that is the finest urban swimming venue I've ever seen--one morning swans even flew over!)
Beautiful well-appointed apartment in the charming and trendy district of Christianshavn, directly by the Canal. The apartment is restored in 2013. Modern facilities furnished with a sense of atmosphere and comfort. Only 75 metres to the Metro. Copenhagen Airport in only 15 minutes. Close to Tivoli and shopping.
The area is booming with cosy cafes, bars and restaurants including 3 with Michelin stars - Noma, Kadeau and Era Ora.

Final cleaning is included in the price.
Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement with the landlord.
Please note there is an extra charge of d.kr. 300 for final cleaning after dogs.
Dog minding can be arranged.
CHECKIN 15.00 and CHECKOUT 11.00, unless otherwise agreed
Once I receive your confirmation I will send you an invoice through PayPal.
First payment is 50% of the total cost and should be payed within 3 days to reserve the dates.
The 2nd and final amount should be payed within 2 weeks of arrival. Hereafter the full amount is none-refundable.
The damage deposit of 1200 d.kr should be payed in cash on arrival and will be refunded on the day of departure.
