If you often dreamed of a relaxing lakeside getaway for a couple of day or longer, picture yourself sitting in a Pinecrest Lake Golf and Country Club home with family or friends while enjoying the view of Pinecrest Lake. Just staying in Pinecrest is a vacation in itself. This is a great location in the heart of the Poconos and you can walk to the lake, hiking trails, marina (signed waiver for use of a kayak and canoe) within 5-10 minutes plus you are close to activities outside Pinecrest.
This is a four season home and the house is surrounded by tall pines and mountain laurel with a view of the lake from the Sun/Game room and the deck. Every possible need seems to be taken care of--comfortable seating and beds, fully equipped kitchen, WiFi, Weber Grill, pet friendly (see details). It is my intent to create a warm, welcoming and comfortable mountain home. Children love the Snoopy and Friends Bunk Bedroom; Sun/Game room with lake view; 40' Smart Samsung TV with DVD in Living Room. The cottage is surrounded by pines, oaks, mountain laurel, ferns and provides a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. You are about 150 feet from the 77 acre spring fed lake. It is a short stroll to the hiking trails along a brook, lake, beach, marina and other amenities. The cottage provides comfort, style and convenience and is perfect for vacationing and/or entertaining for one or two families.
Walk into a large welcoming foyer with storage compartments for coats, hats, boots, luggage, etc. Cathedral ceilings, skylights, lighted ceiling fan, wood plank flooring. A wood burning stone fireplace accents the living room's conversation grouping of furniture: queen sleeper sofa, love seat, swivel chairs, ottoman, and a bean bag chair. The TV, DVD, stereo are located opposite the fireplace and one just has to swivel the leather chairs for easy viewing.
The fully-equipped kitchen offers guests many upgraded amenities: ceramic top range, side by side refrigerator w/ bottom freezer and ice maker, cookware, over the range microwave, dishwasher, Keurig and coffee maker plus more that are needed to cook their favorite meal. Twelve place settings of Pfalzgraft dishes and glassware are provided. In the corner of the kitchen area is a cushioned booth for cozy and comfortable place to eat, do a crossword puzzle, etc or you can sit at the breakfast bar counter with seating for four. If you choose to cook outside, fire up the Weber grill on the deck and enjoy the view of the lake.
The Sun/Game Room has French Doors that close for privacy and it becomes a multipurpose room with its full-size sleeper sofa for extra guests and a bookcase with games and reading material for those quiet days or listen to CDs. This is a wonderful gathering area for reading, playing games of just relaxing looking at the lake. There is a table that converts for bumper pool or poker.
The cottage has three wall-to-wall carpeted bedrooms. The Denim and Paisley master bedroom has a queen bed with a private bathroom. The second bedroom decorated in a 'Woolrich Bear' theme has twin beds. The Charlie Brown and Snoopy bedroom has sturdy and functional bunk beds with an additional single bed for relaxing or sleeping. All bedrooms have a TV and DVD Players. Adjacent to the bedrooms is the second bathroom with a tub and shower. A stacked washer/dryer is conveniently located in an insulated closet off the bedrooms.
There is a one car garage which provides convenient sheltered storage for your car, bicycles (2 trail bikes are provided), chairs, children's sand toys, and in the winter ice skates (some sizes), etc. There is plenty of parking in the circle driveway and in front of the cottage. Remember while staying our Pinecrest Lake cottage, you are only a short walk to the hiking and cross country skiing trails, the marina (canoe and kayak are provided with life jackets), beach and only 150 feet to the 77 acre lake so you can leave the car at the cottage while enjoying Pinecrest's amenities.
If you want to venture outside Pinecrest, it is only a short distance to Camelbeach, Mount Pocono, Mt. Airy Casinos, Stroudsburg, Tannersville or Delaware Water Gap provide many different venues for fun: movies, museums, outlets, Championship Golf, water-park, rafting, gift and specialty shops, great sightseeing and a selection of restaurants that range from gourmet cuisine to casual and affordable dining. In the winter you are about 15 miles Camelback or Jack Frost/Big Boulder for downhill skiing, snowboarding and tubing for every skill level.
Born in Pennsylvania and now live in NJ. Retired teachers and now enjoy sharing our home with guests who also love the beautiful allure and adventure of staying in the central part Poconos
Constance purchased this house in 2005
Our family has enjoyed vacationing in the Poconos for years. Purchased our home in 2005 in the beautiful community of Pinecrest Lake Golf and Country Club.
Private community with amenities: See description
We just returned from a week's stay in June 2008. We loved the house - our entire family particularly loved the cozy dining/sitting room and its great views of the lake. We really appreciated your home's amenities (the wonderful kitchen, comfy beds and chairs, great deck and grill), as well as all the thoughtful details like the booster seat, children's toys, great reading lights and tvs in the bedrooms, and the local newspapers and information on the community that you had throughout the house.
The Pinecrest community was great. My dad enjoyed his morning stroll through the woods and around the lake, my mom spent countless hours sketching the outdoors from the dining room, and our toddler loved the pool and lake (as did all the adults). Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and nice. We also loved your suggestions on where to eat - the 2-2-2 breakfast at the Jubilee was a hit with everyone.
We just returned from our Labor Day family weekend away, and I am writing to say that we thoroughly enjoyed this property and location! We were in a party of 5 adults, three children, and one dog - and it was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, and there was a beautiful view of the lake from the porch. It was an easy walk to the lake which was stunning, especially first thing in the morning. We also enjoyed the kayak and canoe - and it was warm enough to use the magnificent pool and facilities!! Connie was truly fabulous :) We will be back!!
This was my first time staying in the Poconos for a week. The house and the lake was much prettier than the pictures. I loved that I could take my golden retriever and walk him every morning down by the lake. Everything was in walking distance as far as the canoe's, beach, volleyball court and pool. There is so much to do in the surrounding area. We had a lovely, very relaxing time. I would highly recommend this house! Next year I would plan on going when the pools are opened. Thank you Connie for everything!
This was our third extended stay in this wonderful lakeside home. Once again it was a pleasure! Connie makes everything so easy. She is polite, extremely friendly and helpful. The home has a very well appointed kitchen, two very nice bathrooms and three bedrooms that are a great size. The fireplace came in handy on some of the colder nights. There are four TV's and two dining areas. The view of the lake is outstanding! The hiking trails are enjoyable and well marked out. We would highly recommend renting this home.
This is another gem of a home from Connie!! We have rented Connie's other home and knew what to expect. Connie is very helpful and easy to work with. This home reflects Connie's special treatment as does her other home. There are many little amenities to make you feel right at home with each room having its own special touch. The main room has a beautiful fireplace & comfortable seating where you can just relax or enjoy the many books, dvds & games. The kitchen is well equipped, the master bedroom and bath are warm & welcoming while the Snoopy room or the bear room would delight any child. The sunroom is cozy, can be used as another sleeping area or just used to enjoy the views of the lake and woods. In warmer weather you can make use of the canoe, kayak & fishing poles as well as the beautiful lake & community swimming pool but winter you need other activities. We loved having our dog with us & he enjoyed the walks along the well marked trails where we did see a few deer & rabbits in spite of the cold. We explored the nearby parks, antique shops and the town of Mt Pocono.
Also nearby: Catholic Church-5 min., Jubilee Restaurant-7 min., Mt Airy Casino-20 min., Tobyhanna Park-15 min., shopping & restaurants (Smuggler's Cove is great) in Tannersville area-20 min., Mt Pocono shops & restaurants-20 min. In Mt. Pocono we went to the quaint Casino Movie Theatre where your food was served to you at your seat! The Kalahari Water Park is now open and about 15 minutes away. Several ski runs are close.
We would recommend this home to anyone but a car is needed.
We will definitely be back again. So thank you Connie for sharing your home with us.
There are no words profound enough that can describe this home, community or owner! The pictures online don't do it justice. Literally 5 minutes away from the lake with a pristine view from the back deck. Only a short drive to stores but yet far enough away to feel like you are in another world. The kitchen was FULLY stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. There are tennis courts, volley ball court and beach all within a short walk from the house. My son got to go fishing off of a canoe for the first time! The owner took care of our every need and want! Beautifully decorated and sooo comfortably furnished. Great trails to walk thru as well. We didn't want to leave. We will definitley be going back and this time with my parents as well. This is definitely a perfect home to stay in for all ages as it had toys and books for kids, bikes to ride, fishing equipment, paddles for a canoe/kayak, movies to watch for all ages as well as board games and decks of cards!! Thank you for making this weekend an amazing one for my entire family!!
Enjoy heated mountainside pool (lounges, chairs and umbrellas aleady set up) and our sandy beach on the lake has a float and picnic tables. Fall, Spring and Summer use the kayak and canoe at no charge, fish (Pinecrest Lake has great fishing PA License Required), playground, tennis (fee) , etc. In the winter X-Country Skiing, Ice Skating, Ice Fishing, if adventurous (on site).
